Over the years, this McDonald’s just gets worse. There is always only either 1 or 2 cashiers and they’re always talking amongst each other and not paying attention to the customer ordering. It’s annoying. That’s not all, it took 15 minutes to get my order on many occasions. Obviously very slow service even when it’s not busy. It’s crazy how these people working for McDonalds always demand salary raises but 99% of them don’t deserve it. Everyone overall has a disgusting attitude every single time. Seriously, even the managers care less about customer complaints.

DONOTGOHERE. The management is rude and inconsiderate. My friends and I came to Astoria to go to a hookah bar and we decided to drop by and buy some food before we went. We stayed here for maybe a little over 20 minutes and they yelled at us to get out. Ridiculous

The food was the usual – greasy, luke warm, mystery food. The service suuuuucked, but they get two stars because the wifi was top notch.

Went here with a coupon from the paper and had a big argument with the staff was a buy one get one free Big Mac and at first the manager said this isn’t valid here only at participating restaurants. But on the coupon says valid only in NY restaurants. I told her it says valid in NY and she said that’s not our state that we live in NV I said mam what state do you live in please tell me when our state is called NV then she brings a guy to read the coupon because she couldn’t read it right herself and gave a huge complaint about it so he comes and asks someone else what does this mean I said it means you buy a Big Mac at regular price you get one free that’s what it says he said excuse me I went to school if you went to school how are you asking someone else what it says cause you can’t read it right after a hour argument I’ve finally got my Big Mac and then got a curse out by them they made my food sloppy and gave me a argument saying that coupons don’t work in mcdonalds then why is someone leaving it on my door with your address on it it makes no sense what’s so ever will never give this place service again

I made 2 orders one to eat with my daughter and one to take home to my other kids and I ordered a Big Mac but my friend insisted it was buy one get one free so I didn’t get it. I thought maybe it was over. So on the to go order I ordered another and I came and sat my friend took my receipts and went to the counter in clearly disappointed they knew of the offer and tried to screw me out of food and money in my pockets

I have to say I love how they classed up McDs everywhere, but my most recent visit to this branch on Saturday afternoon was really bad. It seemed really busy and there was a serious need of line management. We waited on line for maybe 10 minutes and after we ordered had to wait another 5+ minutes for our order. This was anything but fast food…

just left this store after going out in the 30 degree weather for a treat. the whole way i’m walking there i am thinking to myself«i sure hope they don’t do the ice cream machine is broken routine» and, sure enough, they did it. i’m pretty sure this store closes at 11 or 12, and, regardless of that, it doesn’t matter; your ice cream machine should be up until close. as a former chick fil a manager i know that it sucks to spend the WHOLE10 minutes it takes to clean the ice cream machine, but if we ever took it down early and our operator found out, wow, would we have been in trouble. at the risk of sounding like an all-out fatty, i’m just going to say that this is ridiculous. it’s not that hard to take down the machine after close. oddly enough, the young guy at the counter that was all chummy with the staff, had a fresh milkshake that he hadn’t even put a straw in yet. In conclusion, there is no excuse for laziness.

About a month or so ago I had an awful experience at this McDonalds. Now before I go into a rant, I know that our minds are not designed to have fantastic expectations for a McDonald’s Restaurant. But, when you go to Mickey D’s, you expect a fairly consistent experience. That’s what chain restaurants are for, after all. Yes, I know it’s a franchise… but bare with me. First of all, the number one reason I didn’t just mark off this MCD’s as a trashy 1-star is because the place looks fantastic inside. Newly renovated, it is what I have seen done to McDonald’s in other countries and most larger cities. Tables, chairs/stools and booths are high class. Here’s where they went wrong. One day, I came home late from work and needed a quick meal. I went with my standard Quarter Pounder #2 meal. Pretty standard request. The big board above the cashiers said that the meal(not the sandwich, the meal) was something like $ 5.79. Pretty reasonable. When I cashed out, I got the receipt, and when I looked down, it said $ 6.89! Woah, big difference. I pointed it out to the cashier and she simply told me that«the board is wrong» and that they need to fix it. Now, there was nothing else notifying me that the board was wrong, and so I felt fairly cheated. At the time, I was so exhausted that it wasn’t worth arguing over $ 1, so I simply left with my meal in a huff and I(rudely, in retrospect) yelled to everyone else in line that the board was wrong and to ask what everything costs before cashing out. I then proceeded to give a nice chunk of feedback through so that the owner and general manager would know about my experience without having me wait there to speak to someone. A few weeks later I got a nice letter with two free sandwich coupons that I could redeem at any of the owner’s franchised restaurants in the Astoria/LIC area. THEN, to add insult to injury, each time I used a sandwich coupon, the cashiers gave me the same old«what the heck is this» look, making me feel like a scammer instead of a customer. I certainly would consider 3 stars for this McDonald’s if I hadn’t had an issue with redemption. Mr. Owner: let’s make sure that your employees are aware of customer service situations and know how to handle each type of discount or promotion. I appreciate the nice gesture but it doesn’t help when it takes 5 – 10 minutes to redeem it.

I have a love hate relationship with McDonald’s. Their are days that everything is perfect and days that I just want to vent my frustration on Mr. CEO of the Big Mac, but today I had a very nice experience. This location has seen a complete renovation. It is brand spanking new. New interior, storefront, bathrooms, furniture, etc. The old location was just beat up, worn and it has seen better days. The place was busy around 4PM, but I was in and out in less than 3 minutes. Faster probably. I really enjoy the dollar menu and it’s $ 1 burger. When you just want a quick bite or snack, these McDouble, McChicken hit the spot. I must add that I was looking for things to go wrong, but I was very surprised. You have to give credit due when things go right. Friendly and fast service. Tasty and hot burger. Clean location. Overall, this McDonald’s has been hit or miss, but today they did a good job.

Omg is McDs kidding? Okay, the only plus is the new«Shamrock Shake». Its tasty and makes me think of my great grandma who was Irish… no, i dont look Irish… get over it, smh… Now, the ultimate no-no of any restaurant, fast or slow, is the bathroom.(I really hate writing about my potty time, ugh) Why oh why powers that be, burger powers that is, is there no TOILETSEAT on the toilet, and the handicapped stall at that? Excuse me but isnt that gross? I used sanitizer twice, covered with tissue three times. I could have fallen in and drowned… okay too much drama but Come On! this deserves drama! This McDonalds is always busy and Home Depot is a mile away! Does this really need Obama approval? Was the last seat made of gold? Or did it have to be chisled out of Mt Rushmore(marble…more drama)? I had to take a pic, with my receipt as proof that i have BEEN there and didnt want to DONE that! For shame Ronald and for shame Donald today this was not my kinda place…

NEVEROPENLATENIGHT Steinway is already a dead street with nothing happening, except a few trashy nightclubs, they least they can do it put some 24 hour diners on this street and liven it up. McDonalds take a hint.

can’t say that i’m a fan even if i’m constantly here like every single day… just because my kid loves fries and nuggets doesn’t mean i’d think they’re healthy and good. I grew up eating at this joint too… but as we grow up and be more knowledgeable of certain things, we also outgrow the once fad that we have been used to as children, and mcdonalds is one of ‘em for sure. Even as they try to make their menus as wholesome and competitively healthy as others, it’ll still end up just as the same. Carbs, fats & processed food consumption. Nonetheless, it does taste good… of course it has to. it’s effin’ mcdonalds for gods sake. get it.

What can I say about MC’D? I grew up from it basically eating it every single day until I grew up. I love there happy meals, filet o fish, cheeseburger, chicken nugget and everything else on the menu. Yes I cook for a living and I know Mcdonald isn’t a healthy choice and they don’t use the best quality meats but it still dear to my heart and each time when I am drunk, guess where I want to go to? Mcdonald!!! Guess a hate and love relationship we have going for yrs and yrs and I am sure it wll continue for the rest of my life. Oh yeah 20 piece of chicken nugget for $ 4.99 or 2 sausage egg muffin for $ 3.

Why the hell am I reviewing a McDonald’s?! I guess I am that bored. I ate here November of 2006 with my friend Elena and her cousins. It was around the time the new«snack wrap» had just come out. This McDonald’s like many in NYC has 2 floors. We ate in the basement area, I found it to be bright, yet cozy at the same time. Elena and I had chicken nuggets, her cousins had snack wraps. It was a decent McDonald’s experience. Yes it is in fact possible to have a bad McDonald’s experience. Sometimes you visit a location and the food just doesn’t taste right or is cold, well… The McDonald’s on Steinway delivered hot food that tasted just as McDonald’s food is supposed to taste. The restaurant is also kept very clean.
