Merlin Chemists on 21 Street, near Broadway in Astoria is so refreshing to come into. The owner & everyone else is super nice, the wait far less than a chain drug store. I’ve made this my main drug store. They hold sensible operating hours, closed on Sunday. (A reflection probably of a proper work-​life balance.)They have high end products & are reminiscent of a Clyde’s in Manhattan. Great place to find unique gifts too. There’s nothing bad to say about this place.

I really love the opportunity to come in here. The staff is really helpful and knowledgeable. They don’t just carry the regular toiletries. There are organic products as well as high end products to choose from. If you gotta rush to pick up a quick gift, you could do much worse than poking your head in here. They aren’ t open late like other places nearby, but if you see their door open, give it a try.
