When you have a bad experience just trying to make a first time appt., its just not worth the second attempt! The girl who answered started off nice, but was not knowledgeable (based on the 6+ times I was put on hold before asking the next question). After all the hassle it ended like this; I explained I had a new comp injury, they need a claim number, I explained there is no claim number yet, she puts me on hold then comes back and tells me without a claim number they can’t make an appt. I said can’t you call my employer to verify the claim and again I’m on hold and again she’s telling me no to calling to confirm. Ok you know what, thanks but this process should not be so complicated for a new patient, I don’t need your services, there are like 5 PT places just in my town alone that I can call and get started, which I did. Not worth it!

Sometimes you want to try a place that’s local. You don’t want to be the snob that lives in Queens, but only goes to Manhattan offices. You walk by and think «It looks ok… they’ve got all the machines». You even call and have a good experience with the woman setting up an appointment.
Then.
Then you arrive to a cram-​packed dismal office that is weathered and feels dirty. During your hour+ wait for your name to be called, you experience the receptionists belittling patients multiple times about missing appointments (and the patients looking genuinely confused saying they never scheduled them). You hear them scold several people about clipboards. You start to wonder if their patients are really this dumb or is this staff just rude? So you look around the office at the other patients. Almost all look miserable and weary and beaten down. Many are pacing and anxious and argumentative and a large number appear to be acting like they are awaiting a fix. Which reminds you of that waiver you signed about opioids being dispensed at this office. Well, that makes sense.
As you are about to leave, they call your name. The exam and consultation is average. I guess that’s a good thing. They schedule an appointment for you.
After leaving, you realize this is the last place you want to return to. So the next day, you call and cancel your appointment and tell them you don’t wish to reschedule. Then begins the harassment. You get a condescending voice mail from a man who tells you «It’s not that hard. Just pick up the phone.» Two more voice mails later and you get a new automated message that says you missed an appointment you never scheduled. So you leave a message that you have decided to go to a new PT office and will not be rescheduling. A few days later, another voice mail that you missed yet another appointment. You repeat your actions. Again the real man calls, but this time you see your phone ringing and answer. Nicely, you inform him what you’ve told them 3x already. He says «Oh, now he sees the note in the system. Sorry.» The next day he calls again, but hangs up after a few rings. I’m happy to say I haven’t heard back from them again.
Don’t consider this office. It’s not worth the trouble.
