This place was phenomenal for one thing, their Gyro’s. Through my many years in Astoria, I frequented a few places for my Gyro and this was one of them. SADLY, I was in the area the other day, and Pamela’s is no more — the place is CLOSED. I will proceed to pour out a little tzatziki for my homies.

Never had their gyro, their pizza is greasy(but my dad swears by it), their chicken souvlaki is pretty good too service is ehhh… if you don’t mind the waitress that seems like she’s worked there since 1974, it’s ok

Looking for your typical New York pizza experience? Pamela is NOT the place to try. Looking for something different? Than walk half a block up from Astoria’s Little Egypt and sample some Grecian style dishes. Obviously Pamela’s Gyro has gyros, but their other dishes steal the show. The small pizzas are large enough to STUFF one person, or for two people to share, possibly with a side order. This is NOT, I repeat NOT New York City style pizza. It’s a Grecian take on pizza that tantalizes your taste buds with every single bite. The toppings are fresh, and it’s made right when you order. The pizza burger platter is definitely filling. The meat is fresh(this is one of the few places I’ve had the beef). They have great fries and everything is very flavorful. The drink menu at Pamela is relatively extensive. Sodas, Snapples, and I believe, but I’m not sure, that they do sell some beer as well. The bathrooms, though small, are well maintained. And there are two, while labeled individually per gender, both have real toilets. The left side of the restaurant has the benefit of being able to look in several mirrors while sitting and while eating. A plus if you happen to have unresolved issues with narcissism(which is not a bad thing in all cases). The seats are also very comfortable, so waiting for those fresh pizza pies is never an issue.
