Great local place. Its under new ownership and seems to be picking up. I love the Lountza Halloumi and the bartender on Fridays(Nadine) makes the best drinks. She knows her stuff.

First impressions counts & the interior design is excellent. Generous wood with accents of custom incandescent lamps, wide plush leather sofas, color adjusted tables, thoughtfully placed mirrors to emphasize the spaciousness & large open verdana doors are all fine. The drinks menu is long, deep & well curated with the staff able to make appropriate recommendations. The menu is solid American fare with Greek inspiration. All in all, a solid American place for eating & drinking. Bartender Nadine is popular & rightly so, she embodies the fun spirit prevalent in the staff.

I haven’t ordered much food at this place but it was good from what I can remember. I usually just order drinks. The bartender, Nadine, is awesome. Always very friendly and personable and of course, she makes great drinks! Definitely recommend for a romantic date night atmosphere.

Came for brunch, Food was not good, people smoking right next to you, just horrible. The eggs benny had a hollandaise sauce that was thin, watery and pale, im sure it was made from a powdered mix and not from real eggs. They put a plastic bottle of «Aunt Jemima» Pancake syrup on the table, obviously they bought it from the grocery store — and it was actually«Aunt Jemima Light» syrup. How gross. That’s corn syrup and not even maple syrup. I hate«light» products, they’re marketed for stupid people who don’t know how to eat. The French toast was made with just plain ordinary white sliced sandwich bread — not even french bread of challah bread or any attempt at a descent bread. Just cheap, mass-produced sliced bread. Who does that? The sausages and home fried potatoes were actually edible however. But the worst part of all is that they let people smoke at the tables outside, so we were sitting next to 2 other tables that were chain smoking and their smoke was drifting right toward us. It was disgusting. The guy next to us had 5 cigarettes in the 50 minutes that we were there. The owner manager sat down at the table with him. It’s a greek neighborhood and a greek owner, so they just let ppl smoke at their tables. It’s part of greek café culture — but is still disgusting. And even though its outside — the smoke still blows over to your table and gets in your eyes, etc. You can’t leave a tip if you pay with a credit card. There is no line for leaving a tip on the receipt, so you have to leave a cash tip. This is because the owner does not want to pay the 1.7% credit card fee on the staffs tips. So they just don’t even deal with credit card tips. How unfair for the servers and staff.

Very good place for brunch affordable and food is very good. The staff is friendly but a bit slow but it’s ok it was a hot day so I forgive them. It’s a nice atmosphere with outside seating. I had a Greek chicken salad and it was really good. My friend had eggs Benedict and it looked so yummy. So give it a change and go.

I live right around the corner from the place. Good food and drinks! Especially their crepes-very delicious. I wish they had more customers-I often walk by and there’s only 4 – 5 people in the lounge on a weekday night. Weekends seem to be better though. Maybe advertise more, have specials, or half price items at certain times? They also need to have better/louder music to attract people and set the mood.

Really slow service and the food was below average. We had to keep asking the waitress for service even when it was not busy. Even getting a mimosa took 15 minutes. I would not recommend coming here ever.

The service has actually improved significantly and the food arrived fairly quickly. It’s pretty relaxing to sit outside and people watch. My main complaint is unfortunately the actual quality of the food and drinks. The first time I came here, I had extremely dry grilled chicken and a pretty poor quality(although huge!) mojito. Very disappointing. I’m now sitting here for brunch, having decided to give it a second chance, and having pretty bland pancakes. I have herd the crepes are far better, so if you DO decide to come here, get those dessert crepes. The Bellini at least is good :) Overall it’s very average — would recommend only for maybe sitting outside with a simple drink.

The shrimp and asparagus was very veryyyyy fresh and good one of the best shrimp I have ever had. The Caribbean chicken sandwich was also good chicken was very fresh. Our frozen drinks were also good just not really the margarita too strong. Lava cake dessert was good but not that great. Atmosphere is very chill and outdoor seating as well. Defiantly will come back service was also attentive and friendly

Stopped here almost by accident on a rainy evening when the dining room was mostly empty. We were well treated and attended to, the food was par for the price. Comfortable and met our needs.

I love this place! I’m so happy I live nearby and thankful for their big mojitos! The new renovations make it much better, and I always enjoy their chicken wings during the big games.

Terrible food! Bad drinks! Came here and the 3 things I ordered weren’t on the menu. Order the fondu. I’m not really sure if you would even call it fondu. It was a brick a pollyo cheese melted covered in 3in of oil. Salad had store bought Gorgonzola shaving and was terrible. Wings were also just frozen deep fried garbage. Drinks were bad, service sucked. Manager was nice and apologized but honestly with all the good food in the area this is a definite miss.

I had lunch here earlier today and it was awesome! The focaccia panini was absolutely delicious. I just read the other comments and having a coffee and a book here would be a great way to start a chill weekend. I will be back. Looking forward to trying something new next visit.

So far not very inviting as I had to repeat my order three times to the waitress. Also she took care of people that came in after me before me. Usually that doesn’t bother me. Ok food is here. Taste is good and portions are huge. Will think about returning

I’m disappointed about everything. Slow service and extreme bad, sometimes music is too loud sometimes it’s ok(I can talk to my friends). Waitress she didn’t want me to know her name, but she was trying to be funny or wtf she actually looks so stupid. I’m so sorry for this my review but I feel disappointed and I feel like I waisted my money, time everything. I came 3 times and all 3 times I wait for service for drinks and for food forever. 1 star is too much

As much as I don’t like writing 1 star reviews for restaurants, there are exceptions for extreme bad service and shady business practices. Came in here for the brunch special. Not very busy. Waited for a bit before given menus. Ordered $ 7-$ 9 brunch specials which took around 30 minutes. Simple omelet, potato, toast and drinks. Standard diner fare food nothing great. The drinks were fairly small. No water given but I did ask our server(who completely forgot). Our sever Tanja, completely ignored our table. After 45 minutes with no checking to see drinks, etc. I had to go back and ask for water from the bartender. He was visibly annoyed(no apology) and got us water. We needed to leave but the server wouldn’t stop by our table… She was moving tables, etc. Finally had to interrupt her to bring us our check. I told her that she didn’t check on us for drinks and she got defensive and complained how they only have one server in the entire restaurant. Sorry but that’s not an excuse. This is the shady part — when going to pay the bill there was no where to leave gratuity on the receipt. I’m assuming they turned off the tip option on the bill. I never stiff the server even if bad service. I usually leave 20% and 15% for average or mediocre service. I assumed they figured we were pissed and that we wouldn’t tip(I don’t do that), but there was no where to leave gratuity and Tanja immediately ran away from our table so I couldn’t ask her and didn’t feel like flagging her down again. I agree with one of the other reviewers here. This type of business only succeeds because of the location and they treat customers as sources of quick cash rather than providing good service and building repeat clientele. I recommend Sanford’s on Broadway. They are further away, but food, drinks and service are better.

Came back here for mothers day to avoid the crowds. Had a cappucino with whipped cream and was charged extra for the whipped cream(over $ 1.00) 2 squirts and that can is paid for. My egg wrap was as good as I expected. My dessert I requested my crêpe to have bananas and strawberries and I only got bananas but was charged for both which we had to straighten out when the bill arrived. I was here in the winter, sat inside last time and all was well. Since it was a nice day I chose to eat outside. The tables are super wobbly and annoying, the garbage was flying down the street — yes not their fault but looking at the owner/manager standing there not doing anything I felt he should have picked up some of the garbage rather than acting useless. When I went to the restroom(clean) the garbage was beginning to fly in through the front door and I had to walk over it – not cool. Hey Buddy BENDOVER — PICKUP this is your place, this is a reflection of your pride and it was Mother’s Day brunch time. I would go back because I love their food I must admit, but I would definitely speak up when on my own. Yes I’m usually the one person who goes to the manager and says«Hey, your bathroom needs to be cleaned — now!»
