I’ve never written a Unilocal review before but if any place deserves it, it’s this hidden gem.
Pros: One of the widest beer selections I’ve ever seen with beers from breweries all across America. The owners are top notch and extremely nice/helpful — always offering to order any beer that they don’t have. They also suggest new beers that just came in when we arrive.
Cons: Can be a tiny bit more expensive (we’re talking a dollar on a 6 pack) compared to a supermarket, but these guys definitely deserve it for the amazing products and service they provide.
Overall: TOP CLASS

This place has the best selection of american craft beers I have seen anywhere close to Astoria. The staff is friendly and they will often order something if they don’t already carry it.

What the h? This place has an amazingly wide beer selection. Wish there was a place like this near me.
My fiancé and I live in Upper East Side and had a fun day in Astoria. On the way home around midnight we thought about grabbing some beers so just popped into this place. Woah woah woah! The beer selection here is marvelous. It’s the best beer selection I’ve seen in awhile. It beats the Whole Foods or other grocery stories near me. We got a Delirium Tremens beer to take home. So yummy!
During checkout, we asked the guy what the deal was with the amazing beers in the store. He was super casual about it, «Well customers want a beer so we put it on the list then it’s in the store.» Just like that, huh? 5 stars for awesome customer service then!

Great import /craft beer selection at very good price. Looks like regular deli from front but take a walk in and find a whole wall of clean well stocked coolers. Six pack of Fullers London Pride was had for not much more than many charge for six Corona around my block. Will be returning to sample more.

I randomly walked in on a late night after an extremely spicy burrito from El Rey del Taco. I ran in hoping to grab something to drink, but then got carried away by the incredible beer selection here. I had just went beer shopping earlier in the night at a beer/beverage depot and this place had a craft beer selection that was quite comparable.
The guy was quite helpful in pointing out they had a walk-in fridge in the back, but it had mostly large boxes of easy to find beer and a beer he recommended. I ended up going with the Great Divide Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti. The Ballast Point Sculpin IPA is another great one to grab.
A craft beer store hidden in a bodega. I don’t know about the beer stores in the area, but living near this would be a great treat.

My review is soley based on the beer selection.
If you need good craft beer, a kit kat or a «tobacco» pipe ;) this store has you covered. The shop keep told me he doesn’t drink alcohol and his selections are based on recommendations of his customers. No lie, he has to have at least 100 kinds of beer. Craft beers, domestics, imports, microbrews and a good number of 750 ml bottles. A better selection than some beer distributors I have been to. There may be a slight mark up over what the price may be at a distributor, but this isn’t a beer distributor; it’s a bodega.

Great beer selection, very nice friendly staff, and pretty much have anything you need.
Have not tried any food products, but I have been getting the Narrgansett 24oz for 1.99… Cant really beat that.
