There’s a dearth of solid barbers that have the skill to go from classic looks to modern — and Alex not only can, but he’s the MAN. This has become my go-​to place since it opened up. Definitely recommended!

ASTORIA, NY
The name of this place should be THE Barber Shop, all capital letters in «THE» because this is THE only place to go. Alex is skilled and he is hilarious. The price is affordable, and you’ll receive an expertly done haircut. THE Barber Shop has all of the old charm of a classic barbershop, but it also comes with modern flair. Great spot.

I’m so thankful that Alex was there to save the hack job that I did on my poor boy’s hair! I wanted to give my son a trim and made an uneven mess. Stopped by The Barbershop and asked if Alex could fix it – and now my baby is the hippest baby on the block. Highly recommend this place! The shop is super clean and Alex is highly skilled. He’s also a really swell guy. He instinctively knew how to handle even a super young customer such as my son, who is only five months old.

Top notch barber shop near me that’s newly leased and updated and much more welcoming than the business there prior. Alex cuts good air and is a well-​established barber who used to work on Upper Ditmars. I’ll be back!
