Teddy Mountain of Astoria

If there was an option of ZERO stars i would definitely go for it! Worst kids party i ever paid for my daughter. Stuff was extremely rude and unprofessional specially dealing with kids, treating them like they were bothering them. Program promised by the store upon payment was never followed. Every little thing was extra charged, on the end the original price almost doubled.
My recommendation is to avoid this place so you don’t need to go through the same nightmare we went though!
WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!

We had a birthday party for our toddler here last year. And it was only OK… The place seemed kinda new so we thought we’d give it a try. There aren’t many available options for kids party places in the neighborhood.
The male owner helped us plan out the 2 hour party initially when we were there. We paid for a lot of extras, the popcorn, the cotton candy, the 15 minutes time with Teddy, the man in the bear suit and we upgraded to the larger package with the boxes for the stuffed animals. We also paid extra for the balloons. We got pizza, coffee, soda for the adults and heros, etc…
On the day of, the popcorn machine was broken, ok, no problem. One of the «stuffing» machines was also broken.
The best was when one of the 2 lovely girls helping out, dropped the birthday cake, so it was all smushed up (but thankfully still edible). Okay, just an accident. The 15 minutes of Teddy dancing could have been much improved. The music consisted of 3 songs on repeat, so a little Boring…
Then at the end of the party, we realized, we did NOT get the boxes for our stuffed animals. The owner gave us a few bucks off the party, but all in all, it was about $ 1,000 for a dozen kids… The birthday kid counts of course!
The 2 stars are for the potential for this place to be Better and the 2 hostesses on the party day who really did try to keep the kids happy and busy. (of course we tipped them extra).
The kids had a great time, so if we were invited to another party there, we would go, but I would never book another party with them again…

Excuse me but I would hardly call a $ 2000 party a «budget» party, as you state. Also, I didn’t want any free ad-​one and as I told you I would’ve paid the extras for the boxes and bags and you didn’t have them available for me to purchase. Also, I paid for the bear clothes and the larger bears, I didn’t ask for anything for free and I didn’t receive anything for free. If you want, I could post the package paper that says about the free birthday child gift. And please don’t try to make it sound that I was trying to be cheap or that I am cheap for my daughter’s party. As far as the boy flushing something down the toilet, that is not my fault nor do I have anything to do with that. Furthermore, I never told or stated to you that the previous birthday that was a week earlier was «amazing «by any means. Anything else?

My daughter got princess makeover. They made her feel very special, very chatty with her and she looked beautiful at the end .we also been to few parties which she loved stuffing abear and they played dance you which was great for her age group as she loves to sing and dance. would highly recommend for a party or to pop in to make abear or to buy birthday gift they have good selection

Booked a birthday party there. Never again. Not worth all the $$$. Paid extra 45 $ for a theme definitely not worth it. There was definitely no structure the employees did nothing with the kids except for the stuffing of the bears. They were just all over the place. Would not recommend this place for a birthday!

My son and I went there for a children’s class. The theme and material was age appropriate and the pace was great for little kids. Our area really needs a place like this so I hope other parents will stop in for a class or at least buy a toy to support the store. If the community is behind them then they can grow and offer more activities for our children.

The place is clean an neat I was so excited to have our party there. I was told the kids would be entertained for two hours. I complained about no kids music and games and they did nothing to change that. The kid got restles. They need staff that knows how to sing and dance with kids. All they did was play musical chairs w no enthusiasm. Morris is sweet and accomadating. The good thing is you can bring up to 3 trays of food for adults. Pizza was good but not cut up for kids into smaller slices. Kids dropped the big pieces. If they actually entertained the kids it would be perfect and I would of gone back. I couldn’t believe how many times I asked for someone to entertain the kids and they yesed me to death and didn’t do it. They told me they were going to limbo. Guess what they didn’t even do that. If you go there bring your own kid music they play Great adult music.

I just had my son’s birthday party there and had a fantastic experience. Teddy Mountain is a great place to host your child’s birthday party. It was immaculate, organized and very inviting. The staff was really pleasant and helpful. The girls helping out with our party were really great with all the kids. They were warm and friendy. I will definitely recommend Teddy Mountain to all my friends. Morris and his very attentive staff catered to our requests and were wonderful to work with.
