Great food, great service. Free valet parking. Staff has ear pieces to communicate, very efficient. I love the chocolate pizza for dessert. I would love to see steaks on the menu. I highly recommend this fine restaurant! Excellent cusine! Bravo chef Rocco!

Blue point oysters prosecco and portions of roasted bell peppered pasted which tasted smokey and creamy, carbonara with a qual egg with spaghetti and a Bolognese carbonara with spaghetti. Delicious Aldente pasta really cooked to perfection. Rocco out does himself, it’s a pleasure coming to have dinner in this place where you food and service is a priority. My dessert has poached peaches marinated in wine and gelato ice scream. Double espresso always a must. Xoxox coming back Rocco and Vinny !

Came here last week for an anniversary dinner, the vibe from the wait staff was snobby at best. Waiter went on to talk about the special for 30 minutes(literally 5 different salad options, meat, fish and pastas) and was upset we didn’t order a drink. Word of advice, if your special can make up a menu, just add them to the menu instead… The food is your standard italian food(nothing special) but you pay for the atmosphere.

Came here for Mothers Day dinner. We had early ressies and were seated promptly. Service here in addition to the food is what really makes this a first class act. Not only was I super impressed with the waiters ability to remember all the special they have(and boy did they have many specials), but they were super attentive without being annoying. Also in many restos, when you’re trying to get a waiters attention, the managers are often found just standing there trying to get the waiters attention for us but at this joint, if they happen to be busy, the manager is happy to fill in. True teamwork! We ordered an amazing bottle of barolo. Onto the food. We had the daily special home made pasta, veal chops, steak, spaghettini with spicy vodka sauce, homemade pasta with mushrooms pancetta and truffle oil. Everything was on point. Pastas were homemade so the texture was amazing. Tasty and not too heavy. Veal chop was the cooked to perfection. So was the rib eye. We finished off with a pistachio crème brûlée and coffee. When they brought the coffee over for the table they said it was on them. A nice touch. All these little details make for a great experience. Would def be back.

Just Absolutely stellar service and food every single minute out of the gate. My fifth or sixth visit and just can’t be let down here. The goto dishes for me are the burratta(get one each) and the pillows. Ask for the pillows. Wine selection is superb with all the right classics and surprisingly fair prices.

Came in earlier than my reservation was made for but they accommodated swiftly, the staff is friendly and attentive. The waiter was helpful and I was impressed by his ability to recite a long list of menu specials he memorized. Everything we had was delicious and fresh. I suggest the Insalata D’Arugula, and the Zuppa di Pesce, I had the popular rabbit dish but I was not a fan of the rabbit meat consistency, it was too chewy and had lots of tendons, everything else was great, the ricotta cheesecake dessert too. Definitely coming back, I’d like to try the pizza and ravioli next.

I went with a large group and was impressed with very attentive service. The red table wine, the bread/olive tapenade, and«ice cream pizza» dessert were very good. I also enjoyed the marscapone ravioli with asparagus sauce, but thought the ravioli were a little light on filling(they looked deflated). The ricotta cheesecake was good, although I definitely understood the rating of this restaurant as $$$(almost $ 11/slice). It seemed that the space is fairly wheelchair accessible, but the entrance I used had a tiny step which makes me wonder if the other door is level with the sidewalk. I had a great time, and a large part of that was the GOODSERVICE.

Amazing place. A little too fancy for my liking, but that’s my fault for going here unprepared about the ambiance… Food was amazing. i just did not like how I was treated like a kid here mad not so much of an adult… The waiter had so so so much things to mention for the best recommendations which were not on the menu!!! Could not keep up. If it’s that much, they might as well write it down on the menu. I would have ordered from their special option, u just couldn’t keep up. All sounded so great tho.

Came here twice while residing in Astoria. Once for my wife and I anniversary, second for her birthday. This place is amazing. Service was great both times. Waiter, host, and staff were very attentive and welcoming. The menu is short, but pay attention to the specials. I swear, the waitstaff is amazing at memorizing the specials, and you will find what you like from there without a doubt. I was extremely impressed with the service. Now the food, words can’t describe. We ordered the grilled octopus, meatballs, zupa de pesce, and a special grilled chicken breast. All of it was amazing. Octopus and meatballs were extremely tender(like butter), seasoned perfectly. The zupa de pesce, made with homemade fresh pasta, and fresh seafood, didn’t have that stale taste I would get elsewhere. The pasta was amazing. I had a chicken breast special(breaded with panko), and it was cooked perfectly, nice and tender. We also had the margharita pizza for our daughter. Shoot me now for never ordering the pizza to go from when I get home from work. The crust, the sauce, amazing. And don’t even get me started on the pistachio crème brûlée, Pana cotta, and canoli. I can go on forever about how good that was. Don’t be fooled, it may seem pricey, but the attention you get, and the quality of the food, is well worth it.

I came here for my birthday and I had the best meal ever! First off, the service was GREAT. The manager came to every table greeting everyone, our glass was never empty, and our waiter, BLEDI, was the absolute best! Since it was our first time here, we didn’t know what to get or where to start. Bledi spat an abundance of specials that left us baffled but he kindly recommended a number of dishes that would give us a wide variety of different flavors and tastes. Pesto Gnocchi — Going to an italian restaurant I was excited to try gnocchi and was disappointed to see that it was not on the menu, but then Bledi told us about the pesto gnocchi and I was sold. Although it was a small dish, it was definitely worth it. I would’ve loved to just sit and eat a giant bowl of pesto gnocchi and I would’ve died happy. It was absolutely delicious and buttery and wonderful. Icelandic Cod — This was pan seared with string beans, smothered in a pureed pistachio sauce and it was delightful. I love fish so I was very excited to have this and it did not disappoint. My bf actually isn’t a fan of fish and actually loved it as well. It was super flavorful and was just amazing. Braised Beef Short Rib over Polenta –The short rib was amazing and my bf who’s a big meat eater absolutely loved it. The polenta didn’t have a strong flavor but I thought it tasted great with the meat. My bf wasn’t a fan of the texture, since he originally thought it was mashed potatoes and opted out from having anymore, but I didn’t mind and actually kind of liked it. Carre d’Angello — This was the BEST rack of lamb I’ve ever had. It was absolutely amazing, and flavorful and perfect amount of fat and meat and I was so upset that I was so full from everything else that I could only enjoy a single piece. The desserts were delicious and although the specials were a bit pricy it’s definitely worth it. I would ABSOLUTELY come back again and I can’t wait for my next dinner here!

3.5 stars I was so excited to come here because of the raving reviews and pictures! I did not this place was this far either from Manhattan so it’s a little journey to get here. We came during super bowl so it wasn’t packed at all. This place is very cute and inviting! I really liked the bread basket they gave with the sundried tomatoe spread. We ordered beef carpaccio, yellowfin tuna carpaccio, prosciutto wrapped mozzarella, and two pastas off the special. The beef carpaccio was amazing! The arugula salad on top tasted great. The tuna was honestly okay. There was too much avocados and was little overwhelming. The prosciutto wrapped mozzarella was delicious. The cheese was creamy! The pastas we ordered were not my favorite. We ordered a mushroom one and a white sauce seafood one. Both were just okay. I prefer the seafood one more! The dessert was only disappointing too because we found green dye in our pistachio cream brûlée. The service was top notch and served everything to us to share. They also made sure waters were always filled and if we were always okay.

Went for a restaurant week lunch on several colleague’s recommendation and was not disappointed! The entrance had a large table showcasing all of the restaurant’s awards and accolades. Our dishes were wonderful and served timely. Waiters were very attentive and the manager made sure to make frequent trips to make sure our meal was going well. The wild game meatball was my favorite, great experience!

Food was great(ossobuco with gnocchi), services was great(Carlos), desert was lemon ricotta cheese cake on the money. My only critique would be the place is decorated like olive garden, not quite sure why that is when we Italians have much better taste then that, i’m willing to look past that for good food and service. Worth the price.

Amazing food, great service! Definitely need to come back because there were about 20 things on the special that sounded amazing but it was just me & my husband. We ended up going with the baked clams, ravioli with asparagus, and spaghetti with meatballs. They brought everything out as ½ portion individual dishes. Server was super attentive. At some point I think the manager came out and checked in on tables to be sure everyone was happy. Really great food, really great service & will definitely be coming back to try more dishes. So glad my husband found this restaurant!

Burratta and Prosciutto was amazing /the broccolini in oil and garlic was perfect. Sun dried tomato tapenade and focaccia bread also really great. Ambiance and service very nice– unfortunately we took the waiter’s advice and ordered a breast of veal that was one of the specials. Way too salty and had no other flavor. Accompanying potatoes– tasteless. He also left out that it was $ 25. which I wouldn’t mind paying if it was a good dish– not worth it at all. Fettuccine Alfredo was a little hard and sauce /nothing special, was super disappointing. Baked clams nothing special either. Tiramisu gelato was good but lemon ricotta cheesecake bland — and flavorless. I would go back but be careful ordering — it’s always difficult to know what to order at a new restaurant and the menu and specials are a little overwhelming.

Need to go back. I came here for my cousin-in-law’s bridal shower. The food and service was PHENOMENAL. Everything was fresh and tasty. I had the veal chop — was so delicious! For dessert, they served a nutella pastry which I probably ate 1 too many LOL. Aside from the food, the service was very accommodating and friendly. They all were so attentive and served us very fast. In addition, I had a stroller and needed to feed my daughter and they gave us access to the private room in the back. I would like to come back here for a non event… will keep you updated!

Im a restaurateur not a UnilocalER. Finished watching the football game and got hungry. As soon as I walked in I could smell the home style cooking, like my grandmothers kitchen. I had the veal chop. Pleum De Veau ! Which means milk fed. The best I ever had. My friend had pasta and after that we shared two other entrees. The food here is great and the service is good. I suggest this place highly

Boy was I glad I learned my lesson about making a reservation«Blend on the Water» ago –peep my review for that one!- I did a little bit of waiting but more due to how early I was then anything else however I heard the wait to be an hour for those with no reservation and this place doesn’t really have a bar to hang out at or a real waiting area. I made my reservation a day in advance so worry not just call ahead and you’ll most likely find your time slot available. I have to note that although the food was pretty great and the wine was really good the service was AMAZING! The one thing about dining at a good restaurant(beyond esthetics) is the quality of service and this place doesn’t fall short. You truly feel taken care of and welcomed. This really made the difference for me! I’m glad I Unilocaled this spot it was a pleasant change for my birthday dinner. I highly recommend the joint!

Seriously. the best italian spot in Astoria. We often travel out to Elmont to go to King Umbertos and once we found this local spot we were hooked. Forget looking at the menu because the list of specials that’s coming your way is way more exciting than what you’re gonna see on that menu. It was unbelievable how Fabian(think that was his name) actually remembered ALL of last’s nights specials, and described every dish in detail. We listened quietly making sure we didn’t disrupt him. When he was finally done, we literally applauded him, ha ha. Best Italian I have ever had! I don’t normally go out of my way to Queens, especially Astoria, but this was definitely worth the trip. The girls and I had reservations made for 8:30pm, to my surprise, the place was still jam packed at this time on a Wednesday night. The owner(or manager) came around a few times making sure things were going well for us tonight, nice guy. Firstly, the bread at the table is not to be missed. Warm, soft pita that came with this amazing sun dried tomato spread which was to dive for. For starters, we shared perfectly fried Fried Calamari, a simple, yet tasty bowl of Spinach Chicken Meatball Soup(soup of the day), and the best Burratina I’ve ever had. I looked through pictures on Unilocal and had already committed to ordering the Osso Buco a couple days before, so that’s exactly what I got even though the list of specials sounded so attractive. Fork tender, fall off the bone! Incredible. Rich sauce made with vegetables, the gnocchi was so delicate, yet soft. You can definitely taste the freshness of homemade made on the house. Did I mention how big this thing was? It was certainly for 2, or maybe I just overdid it with the pita bread. Wait, almost forgot to save room for dessert! The Pistachio Crème Brulee. Where do I even start? UGH, spoon licking goodness. The custard was just decadent, oh, and that sound of that crunch cracking of the sugar? So satisfying. The Tiramisu was outstanding, as well. I wish I can go through everything we had on our table, but it’s pointless. You guys just have to go and see it for yourself. Splendid place, and should be on the top of your list of Italian as well.

My favorite Italian restaurant. Homemade pastas, fresh ingredients, tons of specials for each day. There’s always something to choose from. If you like variety and lots of options, I would definitely recommend coming here. I first discovered this place a few years ago and haven’t found a place I like as much as Trattoria L’incontro. The seafood pasta is my favorite and the mussel appetizer is something to drool over. They have a great wine list as well. If you’re looking to class it up a bit and want to go to an Italian restaurant where Italians go to dine, this is the place for you.

I’ve been here before and each time it’s spectacular. We went for our brother’s birthday and we all agreed it was once of the best meals we’d ever had. The service was outstanding. They really went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. The burrata is one of the best things I’ve tasted in my life. Also the Oregon Pinot Noir goes beautifully with some of the richer items on the menu. We’ll be back for sure.

Amazing!!! Like I can’t even describe what I experienced by using words. Have you ever cried over food… OMG… Try the wild meatballs. Disgustingly dee-liscious. You can’t even imagine. The wait staff is loving and accommodating. They take time and effort to love on you. Our waiter, Artan, loved on our bottle of Sequoia Grove Cabernet Sauvignon before he put it on the table. He is wonderful. Clean plates come to your table, hot. … I am speechlessssss… unusual for me. Thank you.

My husband is Rocco’s biggest fan!!! We come here often, every few months for lunch, dinner… Our recent visit was a group of 10 on Saturday afternoon. We were celebrating birthdays and brought our own cake, which was promptly taken and put in the fridge until needed. The service was Spectacular as usual! The bread is too good! It’s already doused in olive oil. and a dish of sun dried spread is given and I am always mindful to not fill up on it. The list of specials is always a delight to hear and we wouldn’t even bother going over the menu after hearing the long list and suggestions for appetizers and entrees. I got the pumpkin ravioli which was sweet and perfect. The presentation was lovely and I even had left overs. I also got the chicken breast with panko bread crumbs and salad, fresh feta cheese and melon… The taste combination was heavenly and scrumptious! Be prepared for a leisurely meal here as there is no rush and the waiters and bus boys are super attentive. You will never have to ask for a water refill or extra napkins. My toddler dropped a spoon and it was immediately picked up and replaced with a clean one. I am always impressed with this beautiful restaurant, the décor, the service, the food is perfect and among the best fine dining you can find in Astoria. My only gripe is Chef Rocco himself. The last few times he was there I’ve seen him come out and greet the customers he «knows» while the rest of us just as loyal and maybe not as flamboyant, get ignored. I suppose if I was the owner of a fine establishment, I might be a little more cordial to all my patrons:-)

We’ve been meaning to try Trattoria L’incontro for years — pretty much ever since I’ve lived in Astoria as I kept reading about how amazing the food is! We finally took the time to come here on this past Wednesday night, and I’m so glad we did! The SERVICE — our water glasses did not get a chance to get empty, and the care and precision that was shown to us almost rivaled the service levels at Per Se and Eleven Madison! We heeded other Unilocalers advice and decided to choose our dinner from the insane amount of specials that were rattled off to us. I wish they had those specials printed as I’m more of a visual person and prefer to read than try to listen, but I was able to retain a lot of what was said! I had just gotten home from a business trip away, and was STARVING when we got there, and that was quickly remedied by a basket of fresh bread(pretty much a plain pizza that was just fired from the pizza oven in the back, came to us toasty and amazingly good) with a tomato chutney/jam that I polished off in 5 – 10 minutes. Helped me to keep from getting too hangry while waiting for our meal. We ordered: Burrata wrapped in Prosciutto — amazing. The server actually cut it in half and served it to us which was a great touch. One of the best burratas we’ve ever had, it was SO delicious Red snapper carpaccio — on radicchio with caramelized onions, I kept wishing there was more of it Spaghetti with Shrimp(spicy) — my husband ordered this, and I ate half of what was on his plate. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly, and I wished I knew how to make that sauce! It was perfection. My husband kept asking me to stop eating it so that he could enjoy it more! Osso Bucco with Gnocchi in a tomato sauce — I ordered this, and I have half of it in my fridge waiting for lunch today. It was the epitome of comfort food, with pillowy soft gnocchi and fork tender osso bucco! Dessert: Pistachio crème brûlée — I was worried it would have chunks of pistachio nuts, but this was creamy and delicious! I had to leave about half of it behind because at this point I could’ve been rolled out of there Napoleon — freshly made per order, with banana custard and fresh strawberries — my husband said it was the best napoleon he’s had, which will unfortunately ruin all other napoleons we will have in the future. I can see why Jando said this was one of the best meals you can get in Queens! We can’t wait for our next visit. We watched a platter of chicken parm walk by our table, and though we couldn’t fit another bite in, we were salivating watching it go by. It was PACKED on a Wednesday night, so can’t imagine what the crowd would look like on the weekends! Definitely make reservations(we were thankfully able to just walk in off the street). Mangia! You won’t regret it!

Seriously the longest list of specials I’ve ever heard. I was only able to listen to about half of it before I got lost in all the delicious-sounding words. After perusing the very extensive menu and trying to remember the specials we thought sounded best, we were finally able to order. The stuffed burrata was my favorite. It had the perfect consistency, was stuffed with a nutty pesto, and wrapped in a few pieces of thick prosciutto. The grilled octopus with arugula salad was also good and a good app to have alongside all the bread, cheese, and pasta. The Mezza Luna were unique and so much better than I was expecting. The sauce is rich, so a portion split between two was just right. The most disappointing part of our meal was the seafood pasta. While the pasta and sauce were good, the clams, fish, and shrimp did not taste fresh. Nonetheless, still a very nice experience overall, with a very nice wait staff. Oh and the bread is really good. Difficult as it may be, try not to fill up on it like I did.

OMGAMAZING food!!! Everything is so good and fresh. I have no idea how the waiters remember ALLTHOSESPECIALS!!! They have a menu, but they have what seems like 40 specials! The place is packed, so reservations are a must. For Apps we had beef carpacio, calamari and bean salad, zucchini flowers, one of the best stuffed artichokes I’ve ever eaten in my entire life! For dinner: rabbit ragu(tastes like chicken), osso bucco over gnocchi, some special zucchini pasta dish and amazing apple/ricotta raviolis in a mascarpone/truffle sauce. We each tasted off each other’s plates and everything was delicious. For dessert we had the chocolate pizza — -amazing. The flat bread they give you — -I couldn’t stop eating it. I cannot wait to come back here again!!!

This place came highly recommended by anyone who ever has eaten there and it lived up to all expectations. We were greeted by friendly and welcoming hosts. My friend called for a reservation in advance(which was wise being every seat in the house was full within half hour of being there.) For a starter I had the soup of the day which was a stracciatellia, an Italian version of an egg drop soup. It was absolutely delicious, light with just the right amount of spinich, and the meatballs were very tasty. One of my favorites. He ordered the baked clams and they were also very good. As an entrée I tried one of the 50 specials,(seriously, you need to take notes, it was a script). I opted for a chicken seared with nuts and a salad on top of it. Again, I was not disappointed, the salad on top consisted of avcado, tomatoes and fennel all finely chopped. Fennel was a nice touch. I was pleased with this choice even though the pasta specials all sounded wonderful, but it was late and I was trying to behave. My friend ordered the veal chop with salad on top and again, no disappointment. On every point this was a five star experience from start to finish. I would definately come back to try the remaining 48 specials.

Being of Italian descent, I often frequent Italian restaurants. My dinner last night at Trattoria L’incontro was the best I’ve had in a long time. Everything was amazing beginning with the succulent array of appetizers down to the perfectly cooked prime beef. The most delicious plate however was the Risotto Alla Zia Minuccia — it was out of this world; I highly recommend it! Buon appetito!

God I was sooooooooooo disappointed it’s taken me a couple days to even write this review. When a place has 4.5 stars on Unilocal I don’t even have to question whether or not the food will be good. Needless to say I had very high expectations that this Italian food would be superb. When you sit down, they bring you bread and this sundries tomato spread which was very very good. We ordered the stuffed burrata cheese with prosciutto appetizer to start. This was actually super delicious and very flavorful. We also ordered the calamari salad. It was tender but lacked flavor. It was missing a key ingredient. Maybe it needed a bit of acid to add some oomph. Now for the entrees. Everyone on Unilocal raved about the rabbit ragu so of course I had to try it. Man was that thing bland. The pasta was bland, the sauce was bland, everything about it was bland. There was not enough Parmesan cheese in the world that would make the sauce flavorful. The noodles were very subpar as well. I was soooooooo disappointed. I threw away my leftovers as soon as I got home bc I didn’t want to eat it again. We also ordered the eggplant Parmesan. It was fine. That’s about all I can say. When I see a 4.5 star Italian place I’m expecting to be blown away. Maybe it was an off night but this place seems like an average Italian place with passable recipes. Definitely not worth the amount of money we paid and I have no qualms about spending money on good food. The only reason I’m giving this 3 stars is for the delicious burrata, great service, and nice atmosphere. Anyway I feel bad for writing this but I gotta be honest. Not impressed at all :/
