Over the past few months I’ve needed to hire people for a job site in Astoria. This department, unlike so many other Oregon bureaucracies, is amazing. The employees who assist in helping the unemployed and employers connect are nothing short of terrific. They are genuinely helpful and do whatever is in their power to find the right people for the job. This is the only employment department in Oregon that hasn’t pissed me off! :)
