Yummy Taco

Awful. Disgusting. This food is literally what you would get if you scraped the garbage at Taco Bell and refilled taco shells with the slop you found. Everything was old and unidentifiable. The salsa was bizarre, watery and flavorless. Tasted more like watered down spaghetti sauce than salsa. Disgusting guacamole, seemed to be made of under ripe smashed tomatoes, no avocados to be found (wasn’t even green) Stale tortilla chips. Stale taco shells.
This is NOT Mexican food. This is a disgrace.

No way theres real Avocado in these guacamole. Avocado powder! The food didn’t look or taste fresh. It comes w salsa & sour cream.

It probably would have been in my best interest to order delivery from Yummy Taco and not actually go to the location. I was on a stroll around town and decided to go to Yummy Taco after making jokes about the pandering name of the restaurant. I was put off by how dirty the front of the place was, despite the A health code rating. I grabbed a menu and ordered the Chicken burrito and a shrimp taco. The burrito was very good, and quite large for how inexpensive it was. It was simple, good food. Nothing to write home about, but I look forward to ordering this late night on a weekend.
The shrimp taco was eh. I didn’t expect much from seafood at a place like this, and got pretty much what I expected. Definitely not very fresh shrimp, it tasted fishy, when shrimp obviously shouldn’t.
Nevertheless I grabbed a takeout menu on the way out, and will remember Yummy Taco when I want some good cheap Mexican food.

This place used to be great! The last few times I’ve ordered the portions were TINY!!! The jalapenos looked like they had been sitting out all night! I used to get them all the time and now I will order from somewhere else!

I love this place for all the wrong reasons I think. First I started ordering here because fresco tacos closed I loved their chicken/​steak by the pound and freshly made tortillas from the press. They closed, after a period of mourning yummy taco came into my life a new steak by the pound to love (I prefer it to the chicken). Second reason I love this place because they also make Hawaiian food but not real Hawaiian food just fare with Hawaiian names and I like that.

I ordered from here for the first time last night. I had a chorizo taco, a guacamole taco and a steak burrito. The tacos were ok, nothing terribly special. The steak burrito, however was amazing! It was huge, there was plenty of steak, the rice and beans inside were cooked perfectly, it was seasoned perfectly, and was one of the best, if not the best, burrito I can ever remember having. Delivery time was a little faster than I expected, and the delivery person was polite. I haven’t explored anything else on the menu yet, but I surely will, since I will definitely be ordering from them again.

I don’t really know where to begin with yummy taco. I think there was ketchup parading as salsa. This is not Mexican food, if you are looking for Mexican food, do not go here.

Food isn’t that bad. Delivery time is horrible. Maybe it’s because it’s coming from seamless? I think you’d be better off calling in the order because it’s like they don’t check their seamless orders.

You get what you pay for. The grilled chicken special meal was subpar… The rice was delicious but the chicken was over cooked & the side portion of beans was skimpy. The guacamole nachos were awful. Do yourself a favor and don’t order the guacamole — it’s NOT made with avocado. I’m never ordering from here again.

this place gives good food but they’re very rude i called up and asked for nachos chicken and beans and sour cream and a few other things the food comes 30 mins later and they give me plan nachos nothing else on it i called and they tell me they can send me sour cream for free i said wow you will make me wait and allow others to eat without me thats a foul play the food is good but they’re very rude and won’t listen to the customer. The worst thing i hate about this place they have a young guy who delivers the food and he’s always making moves on my girlfriend when she goes get the food all the women in my house don’t want to get the food cause they’re scared he might do something to them. The service needs improvement.

Good taco place. They press the tortillas to order and they are quick. The food is delicious, I’ve always had the soft tacos and never had any complaints. The nachos are awesome and I had their special combo for $ 5.95 for the first time last night and was pleasantly surprised. Not a very authentic place, but when you crave tacos or need food quickly in a pinch it is a great option. I feel much better and healthier eating here than at a fast food place…

Terrible– I would prefer Taco Bell over this crap.

The guacamole here is liquid crap — pretty sure there’s not an ounce of avocado in there. And, when you call to tell them this, don’t expect good customer service. Spend your money on Taco Bell instead — it’s just as good and maybe even a little better.

Guacamole is not real, it seems like shredded cucumber and salsa ranchera tastes like ketchup.

Ordered the Grilled Steak with Tex-​Mex chili from their special. The portion of meat was tiny. Way too much rice and salad (compared to the meat). Wasn’t a fan of the chili.
On the other hand, their prices are like a dollar cheaper than other similar restaurants. Service was also pretty good.

Yummy Taco is conveniently located near the M & R lines on the 46^th street stop.
All day special is $ 5.95 and includes a variety of chicken or steak options along with rice, black beans, lettuce & tomatoes, and sour cream along with salsa. I decided to order the steak and guacamole, which wasn’t the worst I had. The special also brings a soda of your choice.
Everything else on the menu looks to be quite affordable ranging from $ 1.50 — $ 6.
Can’t go wrong if you want a quick bite and find yourself in the area.

Best FAKE Mexican food money can buy!
If you are familiar with Asian run fast food Mexican places like Fresco Tortillas, this is exactly the same except WAY BETTER! Keep in mind, if you are looking for real deal Mexican this isn’t it.
They deliver fast, the food is always good and dirt cheap.
I always order something with shrimp (I know this may sound scary), but they are always deveined pretty large shrimp and are cooked really well!
The guacamole is really horrible so you may want to skip it.

This place has the WORST customer service ever. We ordered thru Seamless. After the 60 minute delivery window, we waited 20 more minutes and then called the restaurant to check on status. Their rep picked up, curtly said he would check on our order, put me on hold, then hung up. We called back, he picked up after the 2^nd ring, put us on mute. We hung up. We called back. We asked again when our order would arrive, repeated our address, and he sharply yelled «it’s on the way. 20 minutes.» «20 more minutes from now?» we asked. Rudely, he replied «yeah, we’re busy. What do you want me to do?»
STAY AWAY!

I’m a fan of this place. It’s relatively close to my job and on route on my way home and I must say that the food is pretty darn good. I just happen to come across it one day and decided to go in. I’m very glad I did, I love mexican food and hispanic food so this place was great. The menu was quite large. I’ve had the Tacos, Salads and nachos etc. I told myself that every single time I go in there I will order something different, so far everything I’ve tried, I’ve liked :) By all means, it’s not a fancy restaurant, it looks like a chinese restaurant and the décor is basic but you can dine in if you choose. Most importantly the prices are superb, very affordable and I love it because the food actually fills you up.
I see complaints about delivery but they don’t deliver to my area so I can’t speak on it.
PS: PARKING IS A NIGHTMARE :(BUT BE SLICK AND PARK IN THE BEST BUY PARKING LOT AND JUST WALK ACROSS THE STREET LOL.

3.5 stars for being super cheap and efficient delivery via Seamless with huge portions!
I don’t know how they make their quesadillas so good, but I can’t replicate them when I use the exact same ingredients. If you love tex-​mex quantity over quality, this place is your go to for delivery.
Judging from the outside you wouldn’t look twice at this place, but it’ll surprise you. We all like surprises.
