I visited this bookstore while traveling through, and it’s now on my list of places to remember to visit when I’m in the area. One of the nicest used bookstores I’ve visited in awhile. Very well organized, everything was easy to find, and the woman behind the counter was wonderful. She knew her books and what was in stock, which most used bookstores don’t. I was really pleased and bought a couple books.

This is a place a book lover could live in all day. The special thing about this store(other than the 1st class service) is that each and every one of these books was owned and loved by someone else. They are telling someone else’s story. I love that. You can bring books back that you have finished reading for store credit. I believe its just over $ 1/book no matter how loved. Their book prices can get up to just over $ 5/book. Not all books will be available here as it depends on what people bring in. But, I am thrilled at how often the books I am looking for are here. Check out their classic section!

I love to come here with my kids because their children’s selection is fun to leaf through and I always find some inexpensive gems. Lots of scholastic paperbacks. Friendly owner and well organized. Unfortunately, they are closed on Sundays and Mondays, so you are out of luck on either of those days for books in A-town since the library is closed those days too.

This is as good as it gets in North County. Great selection, well organized, and great prices! The staff is helpful, not condescending, and knowledgeable. OMG, I went to Barnes & Noble last week and the clerk, after searching on their computers for a couple minutes and 100 keystrokes, could barely tell me that I’d find a drawing book in the art section. Good grief! Buckets of Books may not have coffee, but they have what they advertise, great books. I love, love, love this place.

Hole in the wall and the place never seems to be open. I’m a sucker for dusty used book stores and I’m hoping this book monger will provide, if I can only catch them when they are open. For now 5-stars for their crusty factor.

It’s nice to see used bookstores in smaller towns. Buckets of Books has reasonable hours, and a decent selection. They buy books back, though I normally take credit. So I can get new books to enjoy. Always very friendly and helpful. Good prices.
