After the restaurant reopened post management changes, I returned to Crazy Sushi Fever to see how it was. My food was fresh, delicious and the staff was exceedingly friendly. The new owners are definitely serving a better product to the customer than the previous owner. I highly recommend the Butter Shrimp roll. I will be returning to Crazy Sushi Fever soon.

This place is a step above most of the sushi bars in the area but not the best. The sushi chef was polite and service was great but not quite the best. If a friend wants to come here we wont complain.

This place is not good anymore. The management changed, so all the employees changed, the taste of the food changed, and the prices changed. I would not recommend this place to anyone anymore. Go somewhere else for sushi now.

Came in for a quiet lunch on an otherwise busy day. Was hoping for a respite from the craziness of my other errands. I entered and despite most other places I considered, this place was mostly empty. Justin was my waiter and he was attentive and helpful. I decided on the lunch Bento Box with Beef teriyaki and the crunch roll. The miso soup was delivered promptly and was very decent. After an appropriate wait, the rest of the food arrived. The mixed tempura was cooked to the perfect point. The veggies were crispy outside and creamy soft inside(my version of perfect– I dislike crunchy veggie tempura) the shrimp was also nicely done and not over cooked. The beef teriyaki was very tender, but the sauce just seemed a smidge uninspired. The crunch roll was not exactly what I was expecting, but not horrible. The salad was chopped up to perfect chopstick size(trust me this is a thing lol) I’m just not sure I cared for the ginger dressing(it was very thick and a bit overpowering for me) lasty, but far from last. the rice. Perfectly cooked. Sticky enough but not clumpy. All this for under $ 13. On the whole, I was happy with my meal and will be back to try other options. Those having an issue with service. try to get in Justins area. He was quite good.

The sushi wasn’t bad, but also, wasn’t great.. I don’t even know what to write. Pros: service was good, cons: the place smells like onions. in a word: mediocre.

Usually I find their sushi pretty tasty! However the last three times my family and I have gone in, the owner/manager(female) has been anything but friendly and accommodating. At one point she went out of her way to prove my husband wrong about a beer that he didn’t like. Instead of taking it back and offering him something else she went to taste it and came back to tell us that there was nothing wrong with it. The server hadn’t told us that this was a citrus IPA so it was a bit unexpected to say the least when my husband(who is a Brewer) was served it. The last two occasions that my family and I visited crazy sushi fever our son, who orders the golden California roll, got sick and threw up. Coincidence? I think not. That’s a cooked roll so I have no idea what is bad in it but he has thrown up twice. I’m not even going to bother contacting the management because I guarantee they will do nothing about it. After all of the things listed above I feel like last night was our last visit at the sushi restaurant.

Our family had lunch here a couple of Sundays ago and were happily surprised to enjoy a fabulous meal and experience with the new owners. The chef is from LA and has a great sense of creativity and is offering lots of rice-free options in addition to a huge list of superb rolls and very tasty sushi! The staff is super attentive and friendly. Hope they start delivering to Templeton!

Not the best Sushi in town but with a trip. The restaurant used to be a BBQ place… and they retained some of the building features and décor… so that’s interesting! The outside has a faux western fence complete with pre-weathered features. How many Sushi places have something like that? Tons of food options, lots of seating, lots of parking, friendly staff. As Unilocal says — this place is A-ok.

Stopped in for Lunch earlier this week and the service was great –we did come for early lunch — and the owners daughter chatted with us for several minutes. She was quite engaging and helpful about all out questions. My honey got salmon and steamed vegetables and it was perfect. The Ono was also oh so fresh and done just right. We did not do any of the rolls or complicated dishes it was a simple and quick lunch and I must go again to explore the menu further. Thanks Crazy Sushi Fever

My girlfriend and I were regulars here at least twice a week before they closed temporarily. Very disappointing to come back and see new management change so much that was so good. The prices have gone up, the service was bad and nobody seemed to know what was going on. They got rid of a lot of dishes including some soups and certain rolls that we got regularly. The fish was fresh, but the dishes still remained tasteless and not worth the inflated cost. Management told me the new chef had years and years of experience but it did not show on the plate. Hopefully staff is better trained and we can try it out again but back to Kailana for us.

I understand they are under new management as if June 2015. Very nice staff, but the order took forever. The menu changed drastically and the prices went up. Overall, not nearly as fun or enjoyable as it used to be. A sushi place should be mire fun, lively, fresher food. Ill wait until management changes again before ai go back.

This place USE to be our fav. In Atascadero. The Owners have changed all the staff is gone except one guy who is cool. We sat at the bar in front of a Chef who was not being organized or clean in any manner. If it wasn’t for the other Sushi Chef making our food we would’ve left. The menu has changed, inflated prices, and no atmosphere anymore. Unfortunately we will NEVER go back again. So long Crazy Sushi Fever you were fun while it lasted.

Did the management recently change? The menu is different, there are hiring signs for kitchen staff. Lose a chef or two? We looked for the dragon roll but no dice. Ordered the chicken cutlet lunch with the«crunchy» Cali roll. I thought it was the older way they made it with a thicker panko breading but this was more like sprinkles of panko over the rolls. The crab also had a bitter aftertaste which was very bizarre. The katsu and tempura pieces were good. Sad to say we didn’t have as tasty of food as our previous visits. Something definitely changed and it affected the flavors and what is now offered. Probably will try a different sushi place next.

Place is amazing. Stop in for lunch and be amazed. I heard this place advertise on 95.3 the beach a while ago and gave it a try when I was in a town. Simply great. Check my pictures. $ 12.95 for all of it.

The sushi was INCREDIBLE. I was seated at 1:47 and was out by 2:05. Their lunch combo is defiantly hard to beat. 14.95(without tip) for two rolls(4 pc and 4 pic), a bowl of rice, a bowl of miso, and a salad; I also had a iced green tea. The dressing on the salad was amazing, the rice was perfect and you could taste how fresh the miso was. Needless to say my new favorite sushi restaurant. I sat at the bar since a co-worker told me about her horrible experience with a waiter last week. The sushi chef was amazing and within five minutes of telling him what I wanted he had my rolls. Their ginger is white ginger and very sweet; I was pleasantly surprised. If you have a 30 minute break for lunch COMEHERE. Thank you!!! I will be back:)

One of the best sushi places I’ve ever been to. Easily the best sashimi I’ve had so far(I had the unagi, yellowtail, and albacore). Their cooked rolls are just as good and their portions are the biggest I’ve seen, easily double the size of normal sushi rolls, even the sashimi was a bigger portion than what I’m used to seeing so if you’re concerned about the pricing don’t be cuz you’ll be getting your money’s worth. Both on portioning and quality. They have a pretty good selection of beer, pretty much only local breweries. I didn’t bother with the sake or wine but from the list I saw it seemed pretty comprehensive. If you’re into IPAs then I recommend the Barrel House IPA. It’s perfectly hoppy and goes down smooth. The service was quick and efficient; I didn’t wait more than a few minutes for my drink and food orders. I also sat at the bar so that probably made a difference.

First I need to interject that there are no Sushi restaurants in this area that are AYCE and I eat a lot of Sushi when I go so some place like my favorite AYCE here in Santa Clarita(Mr. Sushi) blows away any other place. Crazy Sushi Fever has some good sushi and there combos are good values. The two item combo is around $ 19 and the three item around $ 25. We went there on Friday and Saturday nights and Friday was a little crowded and then funny enough Saturday was kind of empty. The service was good and I would recommend going there.

We came here for an early dinner ~5:30 on a Saturday and plenty of tables open. Thanks for having the TVs on so I could watch the Olympics! :) Anyway, here’s what we ordered: Hawaiian Poke(got it without the chili oil) — Huge portion. Mixed up with some seaweed salad. Our waitress told us we could get both tuna and salmon sashimi but she forgot so we just got tuna(which is fine). Overall, it wasn’t too flavorful besides the nori because it didn’t seem like it was marinated in any sauce prior. Dinner Combo with Bulgogi & Sunshine Roll(non-spicy) — Bulgogi — Okay, could be a little more flavorful. — Sunshine Roll(non-spicy) — Very good. Loved the fish. Lots of crab. I would come back again but because of the location, it’s less likely for me to come back unless I’m going along the 101 and am too starving to wait til SLO to eat. I just ended up trying this place on the way to SLO coming from San Simeon/Hearst Castle so it was on the way.
