My husband and I were in town on business and we found Fig on Unilocal. What an amazing Jen hidden in Atascadero. Fresh, healthy and flavorful food. My husband had the BLT and a cup of potatoe soup. The bacon was relished and the veggies fresh. I had the fig and brie sandwich and the flavors blended perfectly. We split a piece of gluten free cheesecake and we were fighting over the last bite. We will definitely be back!

Well Fig is just getting better. The food is the same as always, top shelf, farm fresh, cooked right and oh so very tasty and yummy. The lemony chicken soup is always good for anything that ails you. The Moroccan stew is still a favorite of mine. The board has specials every day. The expanded seating makes it easier for everybody. Best little restaurant in town.

Fantastic little hole in the wall downtown Atascadero. Dispels the myth that there isn’t any quality food in town. The Cuban pulled pork sandwich was moist and flavorful. The the frenchie was fantastic and packed with flavor. The green salad that came with the sandwiches had jicama and carrots which gave it some good character. Apple pie and chocolate cake finished it off!

We had a delicious lunch here today. It’s a really cute place with a selection of interesting salads and bowls, plus heartier options like rotisserie chicken. I had the Spicy Roasted Vegetable Bowl, which was definitely spicy and satisfying. My wife, who has to eat gluten-free, enjoyed a yummy rice and veggie bowl. The service was friendly too.

This restaurant is all of 10’x10’ in size so unless you are 2 people happy to sit in a very tight space with the line forming at your shoulder you might pick a place that is big enough for an actual set of tables. There were 6 small tables packed with barely enough space to walk to the counter so we left. Truly this place needs a restaurant space not a takeout counter service.

Would eat here again and again! The spaghetti marinara was really flavorful and big portion. The key lime pie and apple pie were great too. Small space but worth it. Friendly service!

Mostly delicious food and you get a lot of it. I had the Tuscan sandwich. Very good flavors, tasted great. I would have warmed the bun tho, it was cold. My son ordered the ¼ chicken. He said it was the best, w the fingerling potatoes and aioli sauce, yummy, my friend got the butternut and yam soup. We weren’t happy w that. Very watery, we thought it should have chunks in it. Taste was lacking a bit too. Apple pie alamode was good.

Good food but really? $ 15 for a salad with mixed greens, maybe a tablespoon of pomegranate seeds, and the same amount of goat cheese, 6 or 7 pecan halves, cherry tomatoes and little persimmon slices. A nice Little salad but maybe worth $ 7 for the size. How do you justify $ 15.12 ???

My co-worker and I both have food allergies and we have only ever had one incident in which something we could not have was put in our food, but the staff were all very apologetic and fixed it quickly. The food is almost always good, I think I tried something once and it wasn’t up to my taste. I tried to chunky tomato soup earlier this week and it was very good! We will continue to go here because of their willingness to work with us on our allergens.

What a find. Such quality food and such a pleasant experience of sitting in a small café talking to the other patrons. Our waitress was a young, tall, brunette girl who couldn’t have been cuter, kinder and more helpful. Whomever had bad customer experience here didn’t encounter this girl. The Frenchie brie sandwich was to die for.

My daughter and just happened to stumble upon this place when we were in the area to do some shopping. WOW! What a find! Best sandwich I’ve ever had! I got the frenchie – this divine fig chutney and melted Brie — it’s amazing! The girls working were so friendly and you could tell the locals love to be there, yet we overheard some celebrities had been in recently! Quite the place, a must visit!

I can understand why people come here for their quality, but has a vegan their options were more limited than I was told they would be. Half of the menu they have on Unilocal wasn’t available to order. And the few items we did order were flavorless. The cashier did offer to create a sandwich to fit our needs, which was the best part of the meal, but the garbanzo bean and lentil stew was not good. And my quinoa salad was completely undressed. Just quinoa with a couple cooked veggies. All and all the fact that it’s local and good quality food is good, but when ordering to go for two people at the price of $ 47 I expect the flavors to be there.

HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE! Came in from out of town to try this place. First off the place is super tiny. We walked in and came straight up to the counter and were told to take a seat. As we sat down more customers walked in and straight to the counter. The girl at the counter proceeds to take their order and completely skips us. We walk back over to the counter to order and I said to the girl, you told us to take a seat and took the other ppls order first, her response was«sorry» but you could tell she could careless. Although the menu items look delicious, it’s sad that this place is so small and has no order of operation. If you’re in a hurry or have a party of 4 this place is not a place to go to. My advice would be call in an order and take it to go!

I enjoy eating at the Fig, the owners are nice, the food is great. The pasta is made fresh there, it is one of my favorites. Small though, they need to expand!

This my favorite place to eat in A-town(Atascadero). Just the amount of love that goes into the food is a happy thing. Everything here is outrageous in its goodness. Go. You’ll thank me.

Wow! I wish there’s a restaurant like this closer to home. The sight revealed fresh, wholesome ingredients and the food was well– presented with great flavors. We had the Alfredo Toscana pasta — artichoke hearts & sundried tomato tapanade over alfredo pasta; Chimichurri Roast Beef sandwich– top sirloin, white cheddar, chimichurri aioli, lettuce, tomato, herbed focaccia, and Tuscan Sun — dried tomato & olive tapenade, rotisserie chicken, provolone, lettuce, tomato, fresh baked roll. We also substituted one of the daily special soups — Southwestern veggies with black bean and corn for the regular garden salad. Everything was delicious and tasted super-fresh! The portion was just right. I did not want to eat a heavy lunch and this place is perfect. This is a small, casual place that only seats about 20 indoors with outside seating both in the front and back of the restaurant. Plenty of street parking with a free parking lot farther down the street. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely return.

Updated review, mar 2015 Food is still very fresh and creative. Had the quinoa salad with added avocado. Salad had a light dressing that paired well with the two slices of dried apricot. The added avocado was over-ripe and should never had been used. This is the second visit and second miss for the Fig. I wish them well but next time I’ll try a burger or Mexican food place. I’m done

This review has nothing to do with the food. This review is pointed at the incredibly rude woman who tends to the cash register. If you do not like your job, find something else to do. Nobody is forcing you to be there. But to be mean and rude to people and my family members is disrespectful. Eventually someone will take notice and hopefully make some changes. Then I would return. And we’re walking. …
