Food always tastes great. Fresh and good portions. Love the curry chicken sandwich on their lunch menu. Husband always gets a vanilla latte and says it’s the best in town. They also cater and do special events! Staff is always friendly and everyone makes you feel at home.

Nice quality, fresh lunch food. I had the Chinese Chicken Salad. Big chunks of chicken, giant wontons and huge water chestnuts! Fresh and tasty. My husband had the curry chicken salad sandwich, it was tasty too! Good service.

I enjoyed the ambiance of this café but had too high of an expectation for the food. The food in the breakfast portion sounded very appetizing by how it was described on the menu. However, I was disappointed when the food came out. I ordered the lox and bagel. The«lox» they serve is unlike the traditional lox you would expect. For ten dollars, the amount of food was unsatisfying to me. Anyhow, decent teas and coffee. The food was just alright. Food is on the lighter/non-greasy side, and that I appreciate.

Food & service were good. Seemed a bit pricey, but was nice and quiet. Being close to the hotel was nice.

This family owned café is top notch goodness. Their coffee is local, fresh and delicious. Their food has heart and intention behind every dish and it shows. The environment is great for a lunch date, studying during finals week, or even just a relaxing break from your work day. They have an outdoor patio area as well for those perfect sunny California days. The owner, Charlotte will make you feel at home real quick. She is lovely, and so is her family. You will most likely see them and know them all by name when you go in.

The service here was really friendly… Staff was super nice. However, the breakfast was just okay and, the coffee was good but not amazing, unfortunately. It is definitely a cute place to go, have a decent coffee and such… We wanted to love it, but it was just okay. Also, we were super surprised about the prices in the Atascadero/Paso Robles area. Food is expensive! Not only here, but in all the restaurants and cafes :/

Actually it was in May, I think. Had lunch here for the first time today, it won’t be the last. Service was cheery and helpful and the food was quite good. My husband and I each had the Grilled Turkey and Brie cheese panini. We both thought it was yummy. Plus it’s very nice to have a place in Atascadero that doesn’t serve the same ol’ sandwiches everyone else serves. The prices were quite reasonable too.

It’s nice to have our own great coffee spot here in Atascadero. I live really close and go all the time… they introduced me to a Mocha Miel when I wanted to try something new and that’s one of my favorites now. Everyone working there is great. The food is well crafted — I like the breakfast burrito myself. If you happen to be hungry or thirsty you can feel good about your decision to go here.

I love this place! Staff are always friendly and attentive. I usually get a 12 oz iced coffee for under $ 3. Coffee is nice and strong.

This is the place to be. If you want a super delicious, great quality coffee, tea or made in house chai, then you want to get to McGees. The food is so yummy, appealing to all ages. My husband and I LOVE the food and we have four little boys who love the food and drinks as well. I bring them here to do their school work, or to meet up with friends. It’s perfect! There’s ample(and cozy) seating inside. There is also a great outdoor area with a fountain and tons of seating. The staff is amazing and so friendly. The salted caramel mocha frappuccino is divine, as is their caramel mocha. They serve coffee from Kreuzberg, The Poor But Sexy House Blend, and it is on point! We’re definitely regulars.

Three things that are hard to find in this town: good food, good people, and good customer service. McGee’s has all three and delicious Kreuzberg coffee. What more could you ask for?! Oh maybe some chill music playing in the background and wifi? Welp! They have that too. This. Place. Rules.

If your travels find you in south Atascadero. . stopping in with McGee’s for a delicious refreshment is in order. Very welcoming, cozy & family friendly. Because they offer catering as well, the food is top notch as well. Do it!

It’s hard to find a decent coffee place. Its even more difficult to find a good place. It’s almost impossible to find a great coffee place. When you find a place that actually knows coffee and how to make it right, PLUS they have insanely great food, you feel like you wont the lottery. Its all true about McGees. Whenever I find myself driving through Atascadero I stop to treat myself. I would recommend you do the same.

All their menu items are great quality! I LOVE their pasta salads, especially the orzo salad. Their coffee is outstanding and if you’re lucky enough to be there when chocolate chip cookies are available, get one! I came during the holidays and got an eggnog latte which was delicious, tasty, and not overly sweet! The atmosphere is cute and cozy and if I was a student, I’d definitely come here to study! Their service is so friendly and welcoming. All in all, McGee’s deserves 5 stars!

Came in the other morning to check it out. They have a very nice atmosphere, felt very warm and inviting and the staff was excellent. Not to mention it smelled of baked goods and that day’s specials of chicken noodle soup and biscuits and gravy. The menu board is on the other side of the espresso machine making it a little hard to find at first, but that would be my only complaint. They have self serve water over on the condiment table along with a variety of sweeteners, including honey sticks! I ordered a soy mocha with coconut syrup and it was delicious. I also ordered the biscuits and gravy, oh. my. god. It was amazing, and I’m downright picky when it comes to biscuits and gravy. I got my order to go and the biscuits and gravy came out in no time, and I know Charlotte, the owner, made both the biscuits and gravy herself. The biscuits and gravy also came with a convenient set of silverware wrapped in a napkin, no trying to juggle a drink, food, and silverware which was awesome. The prices are good, about the same as everywhere else, but the atmosphere and quality of food, drinks, and service makes it worth stopping instead of going to Starbuck’s or a drive through coffee shop. Another bonus, they do grab and go lunch options of their salads and sandwiches in case you’re in a hurry.
