My friends have refused to try this place with me for a while(its a little sketchy looking on the outside) but when I finally convinced them to go they loved it. This place rocks, the lunch special is great especially for broke college students on a budget. This is definitely the best Chinese or Thai food that I have had in Athens. The general Tao’s chicken is great and I love the egg drop soup that is served with the entrees. Great location and great price point, this place woks(hehe get it).

We had the General Tao’s chicken plate and pad thai and it was delicious. Our food came out quick and hot. The location is convenient, the restaurant is clean, and the décor is nice. Very friendly service. Best Chinese and Thai food we’ve had in Athens!

I was excited to try this place because it had such great reviews. Three of the 4 things that I wanted we not available. No sushi, wings, or chicken curry pops. I finally settled w the general tso chicken and lo mien. It was a salty gooey mess. The lo me in was coated in some type of oily salty soy based sauce and the chicken was cover such thick sauce that it was almost gelatinous.

Bad service. They took forever to take our order. They are severely understaffed. There was only one guy running around and attending everyone. Food was not bad, way better than what you would expect from the look of the place.

When I’m craving fast and friendly service as well as some really delicious curry, I swing by this place. It’s 5 minutes from my house, and has healthy options of vegetarian foods combined with insanely good flavor. from sweet massaman curry to the spicier green curry, this is one of my favorite places in Athens to eat.

Finally! A really good Chinese place in Athens! They also have wonderful Thai dishes and sushi. Don’t be dissuaded by the restaurant’s lack of décor or style. I’ve tried a bunch of stuff here and it’s all been great. Not too greasy, which is important to me. Our favorites: lo mein, curry noodle soup, kung pow chicken, & pad thai. Vegetarians should definitely try the eggplant instead of meat or tofu — it is excellent! Fair warning: they can be slow, especially during lunch, but it is fresh and worth the wait.

A bare bones minimal interior place… the service and people were nice. Egg drop soup was overly egg tasting from I am used to but was good. I had a Thai dish of pork and mixed vegetables and a couple of spring rolls. They were delicious and hot. Not spicy but served up hot… just the way I like it. The person I was with had a Chinese dish of chicken w mixed veggies. Over all, not bad. Not the best I’ve ever had, but very good. Lunch for 2 with tip $ 21. Hardly the $ advertised but good food, served hot with good table service.

Seriously some of the best chinese food I’ve ever had. I have tried their General Tsao chicken, curry soups and spring rolls and it’s always fresh ingredients.

Today was my first time trying Athens Wok and I am very impressed! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by two employees. First, they helped me find the entrée I was looking for and took no time for them to get the food out to me. Also, I asked for spicy mustard and they made it for me while I waited!(Don’t forget to ask for spicy mustard when you order, if you want it). The food was delicious and for the amount of food given, it’s a good deal. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try! I did carry-out, so I’m not sure how their dine-in service is but, I give them an A+ for their service to me. I will definitely be going back there and telling all my friends. I ordered: veggie spring rolls, wonton soup, and Pad Kee Mao(Drunken Noodle)

Waited to try this new asian restaurant and I’m always skeptical. But stepping inside, I find myself in a quaint cozy dining experience. We ordered the fried spring rolls, pad Thai, and General Tso’s chicken. The fried spring rolls were bland and generic, the pad Thai was flavorful and a generous portion, the General Tso’s chicken was crispy with lots of green bell peppers but some pieces seemed to be only crispy breading with no chicken. I’ll go back for the pad Thai alone but we definitely want to try other dishes before giving additional feedback.

Was in the mood for some Asian while in Athens, so I stopped by Athen’s Wok. Service was prompt and the staff was extremely polite and helpful. I said, «uh, I’m not sure what I want. I like chicken and I like spicy stuff.» The waiter helped me find a unique dish which I never would have thought of trying before, and I ended up loving it. Extremely affordable too, especially for Athens. Atmosphere was quiet compared to the average college-y Athens vibe. Restaurant was impeccably clean and simply styled. Bottom line: Cheap, authentic, delicious Thai food with superb service and atmosphere right off of Clayton street. Food is absolutely above par for the price. I would come here again, no doubt.

Got take out tonight after reading many positive reviews, and after phoning in to inquire about their vegetarian options,(I always need to look out for fish sauce and other animal-based stocks in Asian dishes). The take out process went very smoothly, the friendly gentleman quoted me a 15 minute wait time, and sure enough my order was piping hot and ready for me upon arrival. The food: I ordered General Tao’s Chicken, Gyoza Pork, Pad See U with tofu/sans egg, and a house salad to start. Literally probably the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Everything was perfectly executed, and you call tell the owners/chefs take pride in their food. As silly as it sounds, the ginger dressing on the house salad was truly addicting and definitely homemade. The Pad See U was stellar with FRESH carrots and broccoli. My Fiancé is not a man of many words when it comes to food, however, he couldn’t stop raving about the General Tao’s Chicken, stating that it was fresh, flavorful, and that the chicken was of high quality, and not too heavily breaded. I would love to see this mom and pop restaurant succeed, and am so happy I finally gave them a try.

i’ve only had their Thai food, which was… different. Not horrible, but definitely someone doing something vaguely Thai-ish, as opposed to real Thai. I don’t eat American pseudo-Chinese food so I can’t comment on that, and I don’t know how their sushi is. But it’s cheaper than Thai Spoon, which is desirable.

Fantastic food. We finally have really, really good Chinese food AND really good Thai food right here in Athens. Absolutely superb. We had Pad Thai, Pad See U, and some Lo Mein for the boy, though good Lo Mein is very nice indeed, and this is good Lo Mein, so he had to fight me for it. All were perfect. The owners know how to use a wok. Once you learn what that means, you love it and you want it, and now, if you live in the Athens area, you finally have it. This is not that gloopy, artificially-colored nonsense you usually find around here. This is the good stuff, and I highly recommend it.

Located right next to a Thai restaurant. Family came here for Sunday lunch. Slow service due only having 2 employees: 1 cooking &1 serving all guests. Small place, 2 parties left because ran out of tables although had bar stools. Wall decors unfinished. We all ordered Thai lunch entrees. Above average & would eat again. Not the best like some in Atlanta & some Florida places. Portion ok for lunch. Prices decent. I was expecting more due to reviews, but I must keep it in context. I love Thai food, having eaten over 100+ Thai rest from coast to coast. I cook a mean pad thai myself, making my own sauce. For Athens, not a bad place to get your Thai craving. We ate at another Thai place in Athens, & would say Athens Wok is better. I would agree with others that their curries are not watery like some others. Good tasting curries. The best Thai restaurants have access to fresh Thai ingredients like Thai baby eggplants & fresh Thai basil. We will try Chinese dishes next time.

Food: 4 out of 5 Service: 4 out of 5 Value: 5 out of 5 — appetizer, entrée(with leftovers), & a drink for under $ 15. Went for the first time when I was visiting Athens over the weekend. Hands down the best Thai food I’ve had in the area. It even would give some Atlanta Thai staples(like Little Bangkok) a run for the money. I ordered the chicken satay for an appetizer and the chicken pad kee mao for an entrée. Both were very good and had the right amount of spice. I was especially impressed with the satay’s peanut sauce which was different then previous kinds I’ve tried. Also had a Thai tea which was good and tasted fresh. Though I don’t expect to be in Athens very often, if I come back I’ll definitely try something else here again. For the price, this place is really hard to beat.
