Belk Department Store

GET IN, GET IT, GET OUT!
I so appreciate how this store is laid out because it is perfect for someone, (like me) with a short attention span and who is easily distracted. As I entered the store from the second level, I was immediately in the housewares department and there it was: The Nutribullet Pro! I had absolutely forgotten that this was on my after Christmas shopping list. I knew that if I did not grab it while it was on sale, I would later regret it.
Had I entered through the clothing department, I never would have even made it to housewares. I believe in keeping «the business» up front and «the party» in the back of the store because some of us need that kind of structure. On this busy post-​holiday weekend, I did not have to look far for assistance because the employee was readily available. The bullet was on sale for less than I paid for the previous model, (for my daughter), earlier in the year and I was able to use an on-​line coupon for an additional discount. I ended up saving $ 25.
I was so content with my purchase that I did not need to see anything else and promptly left the store. Now how is that for focus!

This is still my favorite department store after all these years. The people here know their customers and are able to help with purchases that fit your individual style. For my needs they have a Ralph Lauren big and tall section that no other store in the area has. When I am in Athens this is always a first stop for me.

I like their home goods section. They always have a great selection and good deals. Their bedding department is decent also… oh and they have good selection of Polo for children. All in all pretty much like all the other Belks.

When I first received my Belks credit card I couldn’t wait to go to Georgia Square Mall to use it. What a disappointment. The clothing, bags and shoes are so much more conservative than Macy’s. — I bought a pair of shoes and that was it. I have stopped in a few times but leave disappointed. — What I found out later is that it’s not Belk’s, it the Belk’s in Athens, Ga that is so bad.
