Best Western Athens Inn

The room was nice with comfortable beds and plenty of outlets for charging electronics. The breakfast buffet was skimpy and the dining tables were dirty. The staff person was working quickly, but she couldn’t keep up.

Get past the remodeling and this hotel has great value. New furniture, comfortable beds, hospitable staff.
Probably best «quickie» breakfast I’ve ever had at an inexpensive hotel.
If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable quick rest, this place is for you.

I am giving it a 3-​star only because of its age. The rooms are clean and do offer the needed amenities, including a refrigerator and microwave. The bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast is your expected assortment of pastries, cereal and some hot items… nothing fancy but it works. The manager on duty when I checked in said that major renovations are planned for the near future.

Ive stayed here several times and found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Anthony helped me with my luggage. They weren’t bad before but are undergoing remodeling. I will continue to stay here. Many food options are a short walk away — a huge plus when your vehicle is 73′ or more and you cant just hop in and run down the road to eat. Did I mention truck parking next door?

This is a great place, I stayed here 3 night and the only problem was the room key which was taken care of in a professional manner.

Nice clean hotel. Breakfast included. Very reasonably priced. Pet friendly. Nice and helpful staff. Good restaurants (not major chains) nearby. The Grit is a nice vegetarian restaurant .5 miles from hotel.

The room was clean, linens clean. We did not have the breakfast so cannot comment there except to say the coffee tasted like warm water. For a quick sleep over, this hotel was ok. For $ 53 + tax is was ok. My husband says we will pay more next time and stay somewhere else. Didnt enjoy being woken at 6:30am by a redneck couple in the parking lot arguing, but that is not the hotels fault.

Can’t beat this place for the price. Clean, comfy, and right across the street from The Varsity!!! It was quiet with fast wireless Internet and an ice cold Pepsi machine right out my front door.

We had a very nice one-​night stay in this remodeled property. Room was very clean and comfortable and staff was extremely accommadating. Great mattress and shower. Free breakfast, newspaper, and wifi. Withheld one star as room was a little smaller than we like.

We checked in after a 12 hour drive, exhausted. We got two rooms, one for our daughter, one for my husband and me. After repeated tries to get in our room, we returned to the front desk and had our key reprogramed. Again we tried to use it and were startled by a loud thump on the other side of the door. Returning to the front desk the clerk called the room to find it was already occupied; the occupant had been switched out of another room earlier in the day. The manager had forgotten to record this fact. The only remaining room was a «pet» room which has a funky smell. The mirror on the bathroom door has a small handprint on it at the bottom. The bedspread has been thoroughly clawed by someone’s pet. While I wouldn’t call this the Worst Western, it certainly isn’t the best.
