Deliivery is always on time and polite. No matter the time the delivery staff always has a smile on their face. Consistent food always.

Love the fact that this place is open until 4 am. Another plus is its convenient location on the East side. I always order the bibimbap here so I can’t really rate any of their other dishes. But I come back again and again for their bibimbap, which is quite good especially considering that you can even find bibimbap in Athens. Everything is reasonably pricecd, about $ 7 for the bibimbap and $ 5 for the calamari. Good value on the bibimbap, and okay value on the calamari as you don’t get all that much calamari but its pretty tasty. Usually the entrée and appetizer together is enough split between my boyfriend and I, so the portion sizes are reasonably big. Definitely an option to consider if you’re looking for cheap late-night eats on the eastside.

Quick cheap asian food. Perfect for college students. Seems like the place to go after bar hopping with friends. I ordered the shrimp plate with fried rice and 2 bulgogi tacos. Tacos were mediocre. Sauce was mouth numbingly spicy. Shrimp plate was kind of gross. The shrimp was small and grey. I would avoid. I dont want to end up with food poisoning.

For broke UGA students looking to get filled up at a cheap price, Choo Choo is the place to go. As a UGA alumni myself. Choo Choo had satisfied the seemingly endless hunger I experienced during college time and time again. The food itself is nothing amazing, but it gets the job done for the price you pay. Whatever entrée you order, Choo Choo always comes with friend rice, mixed vegetables, the meat of your choice, and two containers of yellow sauce. I have no idea what the yellow sauce is made of to this day, but that stuff is addicting. Every time I have been here, I have always gotten the ribeye steak($ 6.95) or Teriyaki chicken($ 5.50). The best way to eat to have it to go whether you eat in or out. I cannot prove if it its true, but I strongly believe they give you more food when you have it to go. Once you get the food, mix the yellow sauce onto your entrée and go crazy. You’ll have a quality meal or even two meal’s worth(if you’re not that hungry). This place gives you a lot of food like A LOT of food. If you have experience with the place, you will know to collect on their coupons and get amazing deals with a friend and split the cost. These coupons give you amazing deals like get one entrée and another for free, get one entrée and half off other, etc. I see a lot of reviews saying that people were disappointed and the food were salty. To all those people, I say when you are a constantly broke and starving college student at UGA, this stuff was food of the heavens. I recently visited here during my visit to a friend and still loved the food and the price. The only difference this time was that I wasn’t able to finish the whole thing.

You get what you pay for. Their prices are really cheap. Their fried rice is nothing special nor their steak. However, their teriyaki chicken is really good. Their yellow sauce is not good due to the lack of flavor and their ginger sauce is way too salty. I also got their wings one time and they weren’t that bad for their price. The only thing is that their wings are kind of fatty. Their best taco they have is the bulogi taco. Their pork or kimchi taco is not that good.

Decent, quick food for college students on a budget. There are always really good money-saving Choo-Choo coupons out in local papers in Athens, especially in the student paper The Red and Black. The food is definitely Americanized. Not actual Korean or Japanese food. But, I am not picky, so I enjoy getting Choo Choo takeout every now and then so that I don’t have to cook dinner. Everytime that I have called in for a pick-up order, it has taken only 10 minutes for the food to be ready. So super quick service and friendly, too. I always have enough for leftovers, too. The portions are very large.

This is strictly a late night joint. Anyone who dares come here before 10PM is wrong. This is cheap drunk food at its finest. I will defend it til the death. Here are some tips. Don’t order anything aside from the chicken or steak teriyaki. Nothing else exists on the menu, okay? Tip number two: Let’s be honest, you are not going to eat the vegetables. It’s sautéed cabbage and onions. Just forget the entrée option and order the bowl. So now we’ve got our meal set up as a chicken/steak teriyaki bowl. Now, we’re going to order sauce. Get all yellow sauce. Don’t kid yourself with that ginger sauce. Nobody eats the ginger sauce. There we go. Now we have a tasty meal of a chicken or steak bowl drowned in yellow sauce. You can thank me later.

Please for the love of Food do not go to this place. My friend saw two cockroaches for the five times we’ve been there. The costs of a meal is 8 $ INCLUDINGTAX and you will get a plate filled 90% with cheap white rice.

Great place for late night cravings. The food can be greasy so not for the health conscious. They give discount for student so bring your ID. They also have delivery if you don’t want to leave the house. If you

Cho Cho is certainly not up to the standards of Inoko’s but its worth a stop for lunch if you’re in the area. The menu is similar to Inoko’s but the quality isn’t the same. There isn’t a lot of room inside the restaurant if they are overly busy so I also recommend to-go ordering. Load up on the white sauce!

This place is great for late night(or anytime) cheap eats. They are open super late and they deliver! Also, you get a TON of food for the money. The food is pretty standard hibachi style fast food, nothing amazing but pretty delicious, if not a bit too salty.

Not even close as a real korean food or japanese food. The yellow sauce was terrible. Try going to real Japanese Hibachi and try their yellow sauce its not even close. Choo choo is the type of place to go when your trying to get over a hangover. ANDDONTEVENGETMESTARTEDTALKINGABOUTKOREANFOOD. NOTEVENCLOSE!

Not quality by any measure. This is basically one step BELOW mall food court hibachi. The hibachi is eatable but not very tasty. I guess that’s why you get 3 sauces to help jazz it up. I also tried 3 different versions of the fusion tacos. These are even worse. It’s hard to mess up a taco, but Choo Choo has done that by using poor quality meat, some iceberg lettuce then dumping some sauce all over it that taste like Mc Donald’s special sauce. The hibachi is tolerable if your in need of food, it’s late and your on the eastside of Athens. I would advise you to stir clear of the tacos though. They have messed me up for the better part of a day.

This is one of my favorite places in town because of how quick it is to get yummy hibachi style food. The steamed pork dumplings are the best! Eat them with sriracha. They taste great fried too, but I try to limit the fried dumplings to once in a blue moon. :) Usually if I’m extra hungry I’ll also order the teriyaki chicken entrée, which comes with fried rice, teriyaki chicken, steamed vegetables, two yellow sauces, and 1 ginger sauce. The portions are HUGE! Unless you have a huge appetite, you’ll probably make two meals out of one entrée. I’ve eaten the whole thing only a few times before. For the price the food is great. One of the things I love most about Choo Choo is that it’s opened late, and if you want a hot tasty meal in the middle of the night, it’s one of the only places in town that can satisfy that craving at that hour. It’s great for college students who are staying up late to study. But don’t eat too much of it because it’ll put you to sleep!

Visited my friends in Athens once and they had swore«Choo-Choos» was THE best place to eat for a late night dinner! Wrong. Every student I met loved this place and me, myself could not bare another bite. It was not the most pleasant taste of food.

I had heard many good things about Choo Choo’s and decided to try it. Besides the food being really good, the portions were huge and the prices were great! My staple here is the tofu entrée with 3 yellow sauces. You MUST get the yellow sauce, it completes the whole experience! Employees are always nice, but it can get a little crazy on weekends, so be prepared.

MOB Soci3ty decided to take a mini trip up to Athens to support their local car scene, and after freezing our butts off, decided to grab a bite before heading back down. Apparently, Choo Choo is the place to be after a night out in Athens. However, I wouldn’t know since I use to always drive home right after a night out in Athens. But anyway, back to the review haha. We came with a group of roughly 14 and you walk in, give your order with name, and they bring out your food calling out your name. I can see that getting tricky when there are more than one person with the same name lol. BF ordered the steak and chicken rice plate and I ordered the bibimbap. For cheap, korean«fast food», it’s not bad. I guess being Korean and all, I don’t see how Korean food is the best food after a night of drinking, but hey, can’t dog it till I’ve tried it. The bibimbap was good, but I prefer the ones I make at home. The kimchi was also not on point =/. For the rice dish, it’s just fried rice, and the meat option you pick. It’s pretty simple, and I’m not so sure if I’d get it. But I am curious to try some other options on their menu, so if I’m ever back in Athens, I’ll give it another go. Pretty solid, no complaints from anyone. I’m just a little picky when it comes to my own culture’s food, especially if I have to pay for it lol.
