This place is awesome! Their lunch specials are great for poor college students like me. Their portions are large(can easily be 2 meals), and its fairly healthy. You get unlimited miso soup too, which is always a plus.

Returned here with friends, since they were wanting to go. I had a better experience than I did last time – the food was not gag-inducing. Still not particularly good, but at least not bad enough to make me concerned that I could get very sick from it.

Love the calamari, Dragon Roll and the Pink Lady Roll! This is definitely one of my favorite joints in Athens.

I enjoyed this place because it’s so cheap, but awesome food! We found this place from Unilocal and decided to give it a try. Ordering is at the counter and you sit at your table for them to bring out. They had serve yourself unlimited soup. Miso and Onion as well as a self serve soft drink machine and soy sauce. No one bothers you meaning waiters. They brought our food out on authentic sushi table holders. Made experience seem authentic. Fresh food and cheap prices. Can’t wait to go back soon!

With a Groupon, you can’t go wrong! The rolls are almost always quality and the entrees deliver bang for the buck. Not long on atmosphere, but the price is right.

Found this place back in January when the inikos off of alps had an hour and a half wait. Was very lucky to discover this gem. My meal is usually $ 5 and comes with unlimited self serve soup and a drink. The quantity is enough for two meals and the quality is the same as the real steakhouse but at a fraction of the price. Don’t come here looking for the«Japanese steakhouse experience» though, cause they bring your food out already cooked. Their sushi is also very good and very reasonably priced. Plus they have yellow sauce. Next time you’re looking for sushi or hibachi come here, your pocket will thank you!

We’ve been eating at Inoko for almost 15 years and it used to be one of my favorite places to eat when we were looking for some place quick but not fast food. Not any more. It seems the quality has gotten worse every time we visit. I went last night and ordered the chicken and rice. I was so disappointed! The chicken looked and tasted like it had been boiled then drowned in teriyaki sauce. The«vegetables» consisted of a few slices of zucchini and a huge heap of onions that had been cooked so long they were actually just a slimy pile of mush. And the«fried» rice wasn’t fried. It’s the same pre-cooked then frozen rice every restaurant in America can get from a restaurant food supplier. Only this rice seems to be soaked in soy sauce. I was really hungry so thank goodness for the«salad»(bowl of lettuce) and ginger dressing, as well as the miso soup and yellow sauce!

Food is pretty good and they have great prices! I can get a lunch plate here for $ 5 including a soup salad and entrée with chicken veggies and rice. It is a huge amount to me and i don’t finish it all. I really like their house ginger dressing and miso soup. Also their yellow sauce is awesome! Better than any other yum yum sauces etc. from similar places. Can’t wait to go when I start school again!

Today I went into Inoko’s for probably the hundredth time. It’s usually alright for the money but today, I was served by a waitress who was obviously sick and she admitted to me that she had the flu. I eat there pretty regularly so I left without eating my food and didn’t ask for my money back. On the ride home I decided that I would likely never be able the give the Inoko family another chance(I got E. coli from Inoko’s hibachi in 2006) so I called and spoke to a manager, who when I asked his name muttered something inaudible, told me he was very sorry and told me he’d refund my money. When I got back, one of the Inoko kids apologized and gave me my money back but guess who was still at work, running food to customers? Flu girl. I realize that running a restaurant is very difficult and I’m sure they need all their employees to cover their shifts but letting a sick employee run food is against the law. The wrong customer could die from the influenza virus. Oh and the manager admitted he knew the had the flu and allowed her to work.

First, I was sitting the previous helper with the flu server. Not freaking cool. I wondered why he stormed. oit nnpw I know… anyways The staff is rude. The ambience is. meh and I found some sort of bug in my soup Which I brought to their attention only to get a half a$% I’m sorry… Then they asked me where it came from. My the open container of «crunchies» left on the counter exposed. Either way it was gross. I ate my sushi rolls despite my better judgement –which weren’t horrible for the price… but now I am afraid my entire family will end up with the flu simply BC the hygiene in the place is obviously lacking. Thanks Groupon… never again.

Short review b/c I came here ALLLLLLLL the time during Undergrad & whenever I visit Athens! Loved this place. I lived on the East Side of Athens during my years at UGA. Best cheap/good food ever! Inoko has saved me a few times when I was on a college budget ha. Great place for college students & has great service. I was never dissatisfied. :) The prices are decent too. It’s Athens — places aren’t THAT expensive just b/c it’s a true college town. PS the lunch combos were awesome. Another note: they’re also next to Kroger and in a strip mall. You can park anywhere.

Not an experience I’d like to repeat My wife and I were not impressed at all. They offer some values that bring people in. Convenient for the lunch rush, but not much else in my opinion. Flavor: 3 stars Atmosphere: 1 star Staff: 3 stars(no table service) As a lunch place: 3 stars. Not recommended for dinner experience.

This place is wonderful! My boyfriend and I come here frequently for the delicious sushi. We’ve been to a few expensive, high end places for sushi and still, for the price and quality, this place trumps all others. The hibachi is great, also. The steak and chicken could not be more juicy and tender and the veggies are always very fresh. Plus the 10% discount for paying with cash is always helpful. Don’t be fooled because of the«express» in the name. This place takes pride in their food and has the best sushi around, especially for the fantastic price! Highly recommended.

This is a decent place to eat at if you’re doing grocery shopping and am hungry. Well, it’s an okay place to eat at in general. There are always lunch specials going on. The soups(miso and onion) are located near the drinks so you can get as much as you want. The food quality(to me) is like any other quicky Japenese place. Not super great, but not super shabby at all. You get a small 10% discount if you pay with cash. ;) Seating is plentiful. Parking is the same.

This place was perfect for me when I was in college! They have great sushi and it is really inexpensive. It’s also a ton healthier than anything else as cheap, like pizza. You can have a huge meal here for 8 bucks that taste amazing an makes you feel good or you could go to some sh$t fast food place that makes you feel like crap. The chef is really nice as well if you get to meet him!

This place has decent quality food for an amazing price. Expect the same quality in par with Ru Sans — except cheaper prices. I highly suggest anyone game for a sushi bargain to go here. The lunch special is around $ 8, and you get to choose 2 sushi rolls, an entrée, salad, and drink. A serving of rice is $ 1 extra for steamed or fried rice. Regardless of what you order you get unlimited«refills» of miso or onion soup. There’s nothing in the soup except broth, but you can add pieces of fried onion in it. My favorite roll was the raging bull dog. Pieces of tuna and shrimp wrapped up in crunchy pieces and masago. The scallop and masago maki roll is also awesome. Now that I live near here, I don’t see why this can’t be a frequent lunch spot :)
