Happy China Buffet

Poor excuse for a buffet, spend the extra money and go somewhere else. What did I eat cat meat or dog meat, it sure as shit wasn’t beef or chicken.

Cheap Chinese buffet with average to below average food selection. Food that was fresh out was tasty but most had been sitting out and cooled quite a bit. Cheap Chinese buffet summarizes this place pretty accurately, with all it entails.

This was my favorite place to eat buffet Chinese in all of Athens. I loved it, until today! I found a charge on my bank account from when I did not pay with my debit card. I called and asked, they said that they had charged everyone from MAY 17 for the tips that were not left, but I had payed my tip! They refused to do anything unless I came in. I used to go in there 2 to 4 times a week. I will never go there again!

$ 4.99 for lunch on the weekdays (before 3pm).
$ 6.99 for dinner on weekdays, and all day pricing for the weekend.
There were 4 «serving bar» areas. 2 of them were reserved for hot foods, ie peking chicken, general tso chicken, sesame chicken, chicken with broccoli… then there was chili shrimp, garlic shrimp, stiry fry shrimp, shrimp blah blah blah (reminded me of Bubba in Forrest Gump).
Another bar was for cold style foods, like cocktail shrimp, mussels, salad, condiments, etc. The last bar was for dessert (variety of cakes, fruit, and jello). To the side, they also have soft serve icecream.
Very basic Chinese food and not super impressive. Yes, I did like the variety and the pricing, but the food just didn’t stick out to me, even for a buffet. However, I am super super super thankful for the HOT tea they served. Came in a tea pot and my own little cup. And it was steaming hot :) But that’s not saying much if I’m coming for the food and instead raving about their hot tea.

Very impressed by the fresh food and selection. My expectations weren’t high based on the outside, but it turned out to be better than decent! We’ll be back!

This is a small out of the way place that I go to when I have evening Chinese cravings. Not really fancy, but they’ve got a decent buffet. My favorite offerings would be the Lo Mein and the garlic shrimp. Never too busy, so you can come in and get out when you need a quick meal. Plus the waitstaff is good.
