Very good Chinese food for the Athens area. They probably have the best egg rolls that I’ve ever had at any Chinese place. The atmosphere is good and the service is great. Good stuff.

I went to school here over 15 years ago and at the time Lams was the best Chinese in town. I guess everything changes. I was going to have dinner at Lams as I was traveling through Athens and despite the poor reviews I read on Unilocal decided to give it a chance. It is 5:30 on a Wednesday evening and almost no one is in the restaurant. The menus were tattered there was only one waitress and as I began to order I asked to have fried rice with my entrée. I was told that I could buy fried rice in addition to the white rice that came with the meal, but that was the only option. I told the waitress thank you very much but I’ll go elsewhere. As I left, I mentioned to the host/proprietor it’s a shame you can’t order fried rice with the meal he didn’t respond just smiled and I left. I will never go to Lams again I’m going to try a highly rated restaurant called China Fortune instead.

Experienced the worst food of the town! Consistent across all of us who ate. Cold soup, Disgusting taste, rude cook, expressionless front desk person, one poor waitress attending to all and cleaning tables. By the way, they even charge the hot sauce oil. Will never ever visit this place again!!!

Been coming here with my family for about 20 years now. Its unique! I loved their style of food, and haven’t found anything like it anywhere… Columbus, Ann Arbor, Brooklyn or NYC… I love it! And chain restaurants like«Panda» forget-about-it!!!

Lam’s. I just don’t get it. The food isn’t good or particularly cheap. I’ve had take-out twice and eaten in once. The Lam’s chicken that people rave about is nothing more than your traditional fried chicken chunks covered in sauce and served with rice. There isn’t anything really unique about it. I also had the chicken Lo Mein and was unimpressed with the amount of chicken or vegetables in the dish. It was only a small step above eating ramen noodles at home. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very creepy and quiet the one time I went there for dinner. The place doesn’t seem to ever be particularly busy. I just don’t get why someone would go here over China Panda.

Stopped here for lunch. Good food and value. I eat a lot of Chinese food all over the world so I cannot give them the highest rating but I would come back. The portion on the lunch menu are large! Service excellent! Ask for Danniell. She’s pretty and quickly attends to your request.

This has some of the better food I have found in the area. A generous selection to pick from, around 100 menu choices, from several Chinese cuisines. I particularly like that they have Szechuan options, good if you like hot stuff. However the Mongolian Beef is neither hot nor spicy and its main ingredient is green peppers, not good. The serve is fast and friendly. The portions are generous and the prices are good.
