We sat outside this past fall and shared the Chicken Tchoupitoulas appetizer as a bit of a pick-me-up while walking around campus and downtown. It was a pleasant time and the perfect spot for people-watching. I’d love to try a crêpe next time. They had some creative crêpe inventions on the menu.

Pauley’s is one of those things, I feel, everyone hears about in their first year of UGA. It’s something that seems so new and interesting that seems to just peak everyone’s interest. My friend’s and I have this usual game plan. Whoever’s birthday it is, they get to choose the location, and no one is allowed to tell them no. The birthday before mine, she forfeited Pauley’s and so it was up to me to live the crêpe dream and give this place a try. So off to Pauley’s on a random Wednesday night. Luckily, there was one large table left just for us! A perfect 8 seater table right by the window. It was a cute atmosphere. Very high ceilings and white all around. It wasn’t dark and it wasn’t super«bar”-ish. My friend suggested the Buffalo Chicken crêpe. She said it tasted almost like buffalo wings and I was ok about it except for the hot sauce, so I opted for the House Roast Beef. Plus, I didn’t want to go to Pauley’s to get something similar to bar food. My crêpe came and it was wrapped all nice and pretty with some arugula atop. I wished they had more arugula because it wasn’t enough green for all the meat. I remember at first bite it was so good, but as I kept eating it got less and less so. The caramelized onion was it’s downfall. By the end of the crêpe, it was becoming more and more difficult to finish. It was so sweet, and I usually don’t like sweets all too much, and having my meat be so sweet was even worse. That’s why I wished there was more arugula since I needed something to break it up. In the end, I felt pretty sick afterwards, unfortunately. :(The crepes weren’t anything special, I thought they would’ve had more flavor. The concept of it was what drew me in, but it didn’t seem to be executed so great to where it was something I would ever have a craving for. The crepes served no purpose really when a tortilla would do it the same if not better. The price of it is not terrible, though some crepes seem to be a lot more food than others. The Caprese and Buffalo Chicken were thin little pancakes compared to the House Roast Beef. Service was quite good on the upside. I have nothing to complain except for the food itself.

HANDSDOWNAMAZING. This is the very first time I tried a crêpe and I was not disappointed. Whether it is a savory crêpe or a dessert crêpe, both are filling and satisfying. For savory crepes, I recommend either The Lott or Buffalo Chicken. For dessert crepes, I recommend either the Nutella and Strawberries or the Peanut Butter. A great representation of Athens culture.

Pauley’s has great atmosphere and good crepes. I wish each crêpe wasn’t $ 8 though. I’ve only had their dessert crepes and they were really good with vanilla icecream.

Woohoo — pretty good food out here. Four of us had come in for dinner — I was hungry and I could definitley finish a crêpe and a side along with it. The food here is pretty good and I had the peanut butter crêpe(that was a really hard choice — was confused between the apple pie and this), along with a side of pasta salad. My friends had the falafel crêpe which was pretty good and the black bean hummus which was pretty good too. Overall the service was pretty good and their bar seemed good too, like it was a full bar(but we didn’t get anything to drink there). I really liked the pictures on the wall — it looked like appreciation photos for those who have had a certain number of beers in the bar. It is definitely a place to stop by, if you are crêpe and some drinks :).

Had a great experience here yesterday for watching the big game — UGA vs. USC. Even though the bar was really crowded we had a short wait. We sat outside and had a drink while waiting for our table, and the entire restaurant crew is friendly and efficient. I especially need to give a shout-out to Ben, who«rescued» me from a couple of situations from an unwelcome game-day fan. Next time in Athens, we’ll be back! Highly recommend the Terrapin Dip and Buffalo Chicken appetizers. Salads for our entrees were good size. No room for dessert but we’ll definitely try some crepes next time. They looked great!

There don’t seem to be enough servers here for the number of customers, so we had to wait a long time for our food(45 minutes to be exact). The quality of the food makes up for it though! I got a Caprese sandwich, and it was delicious. I also got the strawberry and Nutella crêpe, and it was also delicious! I don’t recommend going in starving like I did because the food takes a long time to come out, but it is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is nice.

This is an amazing place great food and great servers. Only reason a star is taken off is because they messed up my order. But they right away went back and fixed it by making a brand new order

Two stars because when the kitchen is open the dessert crepes are wonderful. Apparently the posted kitchen hours on the menu and website are not accurate. Kitchen closes at 10 not 11.

Yay really enjoyed this place! This is the first dedicated crêpe bar I went to; they should definitely open more of these! I came here for lunch during a healthcare conference in Athens, after hearing recommendations from friends that have been here before. Walking in, you’d be greeted by the friendly staff, and the blue walls with the newspaper clippings and the wooden tables and chairs. My other friends went for the typical sweet crepes with nutella and strawberries, but since it was lunchtime, I went for the Buffalo Chicken crêpe out of curiosity. To sum it up, it was classy, yet trashy. The buffalo chicken is reminiscent of your typical bar wings, with the spicy and vinegar-y taste to it. The shredded lettuce gives it a crunch, and the umami from the tomatoes helped it too. The crêpe brought the whole concoction together, kinda resembling a buffalo chicken wrap. To top it off, it was covered with hot sauce and ranch. Next time I’m in Athens, I’ll definitely come here again. It would be a 4-star review, but I tacked on the extra star because of the atmosphere and the minimalist interior of the store. Wholeheartedly recommend this establishment.

Sub-par over priced food, poor and unknowledgeable service. It’s a beer bar with 20 year old servers who know nothing about beer.

I had the Brie BLT and shared the Strawberries & Nutella crêpe with my friend. Both were really good. They also have various kinds of beers which is nice! I can’t wait to go back to try more!

Lot’s of beers, buffalo chicken crepes. That is all. Great selection of beers by the bottle and on draft. I come here every time I go back to athens. I am always pleased with the food, but the service could be better. However, in a college town you cannot expect good service.

Crepes are a bit overpriced and not too large(or fancy enough to justify such a price/size combo); place is more a bar than anything else and the service isn’t that good.

I love crepes. It is one of those things that if a see a place that sells crepes, I’m immediately drawn to it. Thankfully my friends already had this on their list of places to eat in Athens for the day, but if they didn’t, I’d pull them in insisting that we’d have to eat there. Again, we ordered to go since we had a lot of places to hit up on our day trip in Athens. We had just gotten plenty of other savory dishes, so we ordered a dessert crêpe: the strawberry and nutella. It was a pretty standard dessert crêpe, but I was glad there wasn’t an absurd amount of nutella like some other places have. The crêpe itself was a nice consistency and wasn’t too thin/crispy, nor too soggy. However, since we took it to go, we didn’t get to see how service was normally. We got our food in about 10 minutes as well, which is pretty good, so I’m happy about that. The other thing that I love about Pauley’s is their bar and how many drink selections they have! Not that I’m a big drinker, but I definitely appreciate their dedication to raising spirits :) *Disclaimer: Came here for a day trip in Athens, quickly hitting up some of the local faves.

Despite some other negative reviews, I love Pauley’s. It has a great food menu, cheap wine, and an extensive beer selection. If you want a place to eat, drink, enjoy a sports game or just a nice afternoon with friends for a low price, then Pauley’s is perfect. Many other reviewers have touched on its tendency for slow service. While I have experienced this as well, one has to keep in mind that the business is run entirely by college kids. Pauley’s is not a five-star dining establishment, so if you are looking for that kind of service then I recommend picking a difference restaurant. The servers are always friendly and hard-working, which is good enough for me. The menu at Pauley’s offers everything from appetizers(get the brie — OMG yum) to salads to sandwiches and to crepes(their specialty). While these crepes aren’t what you’ll find in Paris, they are delicious and innovative. Who knew a buffalo chicken crêpe could be so delicious? Again, this is not five-star quality food. However it does hit the spot when you’re enjoying a few unique beers or half-off bottles of wine($ 7 — yes please). Overall I love this place. The food tastes good, the drinks are great, and the price is right. Its got the perfect environment for spending time with friends in an awesome college town. Go Dawgs!

When I walked in I was reminded me of a place I visited along the downtown mall in Charlottesville, VA(also a university town). By the time I arrived the kitchen was closed(11PM on Saturday), so I just had a beer — the Southern Pecan Nut Brown Ale. I would like to come back to try their crepes.
