My first facial experience with Tamara was wonderful. She was extremely kind and welcoming. I would have liked to know what each step of the facial was, but it did seem like she did a lot– plus I did appreciate that she just let me relax– which I definitely did! Her prices are extremely reasonable– I got a 90 minute facial for a lower price than a 60 minute facial at other places. I sense that Tamara is also just a good person– when I asked her how often I should come back she said she didn’t think I needed to come very often because my skin looked good and that I should just come back when I felt like my skin needed it. This answer showed me that she cares about what she does and isn’t just in it for a pay check! Overall it was an extremely soothing experience and I will definitely be back to see her again!

Wow… I have been going to Tamara at «Facials by Tamara» since 1996… a solid 19 years. Tamara is just an incredible professional… I have used her full body waxing services and facials on many, many occasions and have always walked away a very satisfied and happy customer. Her salon is clean and immaculate. Tamara is also very, very accommodating schedule wise and has always tried to fit me in even on short notice. It has taken me years to write this review… but I am glad that I am finally doing it now so that others may benefit from a great salon. I started going to Tamara when my daughter was 2 years old and now she is 21 years and Tamara’s new customer!
I find Tamara’s facials to be extremely thorough and yet relaxing. She uses the best of products and gives you her 100%…you never feel rushed but on the contrary feel that she is always giving you her very, very best. It is a pleasure to do business with Tamara.

Tamara is the best! I have been coming to her for almost 15 years now. She makes my skin look younger and younger each visit. She gives such an amazing facial. She has a nice choices of masks as well. Her products are top of the line and some of the best I have ever used from moisturizers, cleansers to scrubs. She does such a great waxing as well. She makes it painless. Tamara as a person is so warm and kind, she makes you feel wonderful from the minute you enter her office to when you look at the final work in the mirror. She is a great great person! Excellent.

I have suffered from really bad acne for years and I have tried everything to get rid of it. Then a friend of my mom recommended I go there. Since then my skin is better than ever. She literally has done miracles to my face. I love going to her. She has also done my eyebrows which come out beautiful and my upper lip. I love going to Tamara she is so kind, friendly and gentle and makes the process very easy and enjoyable. She also recommends creams which you can buy there that definitely help you with your skin. I definitely recommend her to everyone.

I am very discerning when it comes to skin care — and when it comes to aestheticians, I’m as picky and well researched as it comes. I always avoided big spas in hotels because I don’t believe their aestheticians are well trained which is why I went out of my way to find an aesthetician with experience and skill. It took me a while but when I finally found Tamara I was absolutely stunned by how nice and young my skin can look without a huge amount of expense. Tamara is experienced (her mom is also an aesthetician) and what I am most impressed by is her willingness to go to specialty trade shows to find the absolute best products and technology for her clients. She is not only skilled at facials but her continual research makes her skills that much better. I have never met a better aesthetician in my life and my skin is my proof!
On top of that, Tamara is kind and is never pushy. She custom tailors the facial to your skin type and all my friends who I referred to her are all regulars now! I cannot tell you how nice my skin looks thanks to Tamara — she is a miracle worker!!!

You know the drill: you wake up, hate your skin, plop down tons of money the same day at Sephora to make you feel better… and it doesn’t work (not even that hot pink Sonicare-​like contraption you use to wash your face every day). Then it hits you, it’s time for a facial. Well, every time I’ve entered the latter phase of this on-​going skin nightmare, the service has resulted in flat results (lame extractions and a useless mask). I was referred to Tamara by a friend with beautiful skin, and am beyond thankful for the tip. Tamara is extremely meticulous; I think she extracted the last ten years of crap from my face today. The best part, even after having had major extractions, my über sensitive skin was only a tad on the red side for an hour. My pores are smaller, and technically, I weigh less. Yay!

Tamara offers a collagen mask that is lovely and hard to come by otherwise. She does an impeccable job at cleaning pore and she seems to really care about making her clients look beautiful.

Tamara is a miracle worker! I have been seeing her going on 7 years now. Prior to going to Tamara, I tried everything for my acne (proactive, acutane, spa treatments, etc.) You name it, I tried it. A friend referred me to her; after the first visit I saw immediate results and lasting benefits. My life was changed. I went from masking my acne with tons of foundation to be able to go out in public with a bare face.
Tamara is not only a fabulous esthetician; she is warm, friendly and honest. She doesn’t try to push products. She recommends items that may help, but never tries to make you buy anything. I recommend her highly to anyone wanting to rid their life of acne or just wanting to get that perfect glow in their complexion.

Tamara is amazing. She’s warm, sensitive, and accommodating. She provides a clean, relaxing environment and gives the best facial ever. Her prices are reasonable, especially for this area, and parking is ample. I look forward to seeing her. A real plus is that she always willing to try to meet your needs, both in terms of schedule as well as service. She’s on time, which is important for me. With an enormous amount of integrity, she’s the full package.

Tamara is my life saver! I have been suffering from moderate to severe acne since my teen years, and I have tried every remedy known to man – Proactive, Acutane, various topicals, antibiotics. Nothing seemed to work. A coworker mentioned Tamara to me about 3 years ago and she was then, and always will be my miracle. Literally the day after my first visit, I began to see major improvements in my skin. MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS. I always joke around with Tamara that she should carry a book of before and after pictures, because she is just that effective.
As others have mentioned, this is not a «typical» spa experience. What Tamara performs is magic in her room and to top things off, she is the sweetest woman ever! Trust me, she is the best kept secret around! She has changed my life.

Tamara is beyond amazing! I’ve had 4 facials from other places in the Menlo Park/​Palo Alto area & Tamara’s delivered the most amazing results on this 63 year old’s skin, I couldn’t stop hugging her. She was quietly professional, didn’t try to sell me things, asked if I wanted it quiet or have soft music. I just can’t say enough great things about her except that I’ve told all my friends & I’m Unilocaling for her because she really is the very best! Don’t even bother going anywhere else!

I will never go to anyone else for a facial or waxing! Tamara is the most genuine, hardworking person you will ever meet. She is so good at what she does! Tamara does fantastic facials as well as waxing and other skin care work. I go to her for all of these things. This is not a spa experience — she has a space in a plastic surgery (?) office. As someone else said, there are no fancy robes or zen music. She’s an independent who has reasonable prices and delivers high quality services.
No wonder she has such a loyal clientele. Maybe I should’ve kept her a secret…
