Atkinson House of Pizza

Worst pizza place around. rude people behind the counter and terrible pizza. The crust takes up a quarter of a slice. Use more ingredients and push the sauce to the edge of the crust. Their sandwiches and sub aren’t much better. Any place is better

We just moved here last September and were looking for a good take out place. It took us a couple months to find Atkinson house but once we did we were in love! I’m obsessed with their steak tips and my kids love their pizza! We’ve gotten a lot of food from here and every time has been amazing! The mama bear in charge there is such a sweetheart! You can tell she works her butt off every day! The other folks working there are very pleasant as well!

The food is pretty good. I was suspicious of the cleanliness of the back when I saw their terrible patchwork bathroom. My suspicion was confirmed after seeing a picture of someone’s dog on the counters I’m going to pass by from now on.

Food isnt bad. although if u dont know. They have no problem letting ther dog walk all over the food prep tables. which is disgusting and dangerous. I wouldnt want dog hair or dog snot that you cant see in your food. And to top it all off the owner is an asshole big time.

We just moved to Danville from MA and needed to find a good place close by. We have been here twice and both time the food was very good with fast service.

It was the worst meal I ever had eaten there. The buffalo chicken was off cooked like it just came out of the microwave. The Roast Beef dinner sucked French fries and onion rings where so hard and over cooked you couldn’t bite into them. The roast beef was ice cold with little sauce. It will be my last time going there. We used to go there all the time and the food was so good it brought us back for more but today was a total turn off

My husband and I have tried this place a couple of times and haven’t been happy. The food is not great, it is expensive for what they give you and the service leaves something to be desired as well.
Recently we ordered two pizza’s from them. They told us it would take 45 minutes for it to be delivered. This was a Tuesday so I didn’t think it would be that busy. After an hour my husband called and they said the driver was on his way. When we finally did get our pizza’s they were not even correct. We ordered a cheese and a pepperoni and mushroom. They didn’t give us the mushrooms. We double checked the slip and it was written right on there. With all the pizza places available I won’t be going to this one again.

Really sad to see that people still enjoying eating here. They close for extended periods of time, customer service is poor, and from what I hear the way they treat their own employees is even worse. What ever did happen to all of the familiar faces behind the counter? I have heard far too much through the grapevine to give this place my business any longer. I hear that the tip jar doesn’t even go to staff!!!

Really sad to see so many negative reviews because I think this place is great. I’ve never had a bad experience; everyone is super friendly. Roast beef is great and pizza is pretty good too. Delicious sandwiches and sides. I highly recommend!

The first time I went about two months ago the place was great, the roast beef one of the best I had. I went another time closed for vacation. Then yesterday I made my third official trip and ordered pizza roll, medium beef with sauce, onion rings, and a root beer. The roast beef presentation was awful. The sauce looked like it was barely coating the bun giving it a gross sickening appeal to it. That’s not how you serve food. At least drizzle it and make it like an art for 15 bucks for what I ordered. Common sense. Treat your sandwiches with class not like a Sonic or McDonalds. You guys are better than that. Won’t be back, that was nasty.

Place is simply a dump. Food made me sick the prices are just to over priced for what they give you. The service sucks the owner is obnoxious. If you want a half ass quantity pizza and meal an a trip to the restroom every hour go here. If you want quality go 10 mins up the road to Romanos pizza in Salem NH now that quality compared to this shit hole.

Wasn’t a fan. It’s OK I guess if really hungry and no options. The people were nice, the food wasn’t terrible, just bland /​not too good. Onion rings are soggy and hanging. (I like mine round & crispy). Pizza was OK, I’m more of an Italian pizza person, not Greek. Roast beef Sammy was OK, very dry though… I wish Big Daddys was closer, we have AHOP and Tessi’s, both are OK but not awesome… Didnt get any lip from an owner, if I did I would just slap him anyways…

We LOVE the roast beef sandwiches here. They are better than Kelly’s! The service has always been friendly and the prices are standard for the area.

I tried to like this place. But everytime I go back unfortunately is just consistently bad. Every single time I’ve ordered chicken wings they’ve been WAY over cooked. The roast beef sandwiches are very good but they never put enough sauce on them unlike chicks roast beef which loads it with sauce.
I’ll probably try this place a few more times and give constructive feedback to them but there are too many other places that are better and more consistent.

This place is Amazing! Best Pizza and Roast Beef around! I don’t know why so many reviews have 3 stars and under. Must be just jealous people, or other businesses writing in fake reviews.
I live in Sandown and I’ve been coming here since they opened, which was about 4 years ago. The Atmosphere is perfect, it’s huge inside! Couches to sit on and 2 big screen tv’s to watch while you’re waiting. The owners and the staff are the nicest people you’ll meet and very courteous.
Anything you want to order is Delicious and very good prices. My favorite was the Super 3 Way and now they have a new sandwich, the Golden BBQ Finger Sandwich. Seriously you have to try it!

I’ve been here quite a bit in the past few years and it always seems to be consistent. Now whether that’s a good thing or not is up to what you are getting.
I love their calzones. Good dough, full of cheese and toppings. I’ve never had a bad one. The pizza is pretty good too but, I choose the calzone, all day.
On the other hand, their subs aren’t the best. The pastrami always tend to be well done and dried out and the steak and cheese isn’t as good as Tessi’s right up 111. A good place though.
Overall: B+

I’m really surprised at such a low review for this place. This is something Atkinson should be thankful for because not only is it a place that will actually deliver to Atkinson, but the food is pretty great and not expensive at all. I don’t know where else you folks get your pizza that you pay less than these prices… Ellio’s in Market Basket?
They are also very nice people that run the place, I’ve never had a customer service issue and have been here at least a hundred times since my family moved to Atkinson.
There’s a big screen TV and leather couches to chill on while you wait.
The roast beef and pastrami are great, the pizza is always awesome and a small with 3 toppings will cost you less than 10 bucks and fill you up. Pizza rolls, waffle fries and the burgers are all other great indulgences. It’s a large menu, much more than pizza and subs. Stop by if you have the time and give it a try.

Awful service. Had food delivered and the kid didn’t have our diet coke and acted all offended when we asked about the diet coke. «They didnt tell me you had a diet coke» (it said diet coke on the slip he had and we paid for it) we told him that and asked him to please bring us one. He said he would then never came back. So rude. We just won’t go there again and will go to one of the other many sub shops that are more professional. Food was not great either.

I’ve tried it here a few times. My husband has liked what he got, but I’ve tried a couple things and its usually a miss for me. The couple times I ate in there were teenager delivery people or just kids hanging around on the couches there which felt awkward to me. It’s a nice place and convenient for people in that area, but I just haven’t found a healthy and yummy choice that I like yet. I’m not discounting this place completely but it’s not my first choice either.

I think the bad reviews must be people with a gripe. I go for pizza often and it is always good. I have also had the buffalo chicken salad, the garden salad and the spaghetti and meatballs and have always been happy. Hot, good quality food and the people behind the counter are always nice.
The mountain pizza is excellent and tonight I am trying the roast beef.
