A1 Express Delivery Service

What an absolute joke. I placed an express messenger order yesterday. I thought I was placing the order with an actual courier/​messenger service; little did I know I was just placing it with a call center that then outsources to other courier services.
The problem with that is that they relayed the WRONG address to the messenger service and they went to another location. When the messenger called me to tell me he was here, I told him he was at the wrong address, and he told me to «go f*ck myself.»
It then took another 2 hours on phone calls with A1 express to figure out where my package was and how we could get it here. It was the absolute opposite of an efficient a quick process. I ended up arriving late to the tradeshow I was attending.
STAY AWAY!!!

This company based in Atlanta advertises nationally. I used them once before in Dallas, Texas and had an awesome driver named Cedric Henderson. My first experience left me with a 5 star opinion of the service.
The 2^nd time I called I had difficulties because the person answering the phone couldn’t find my first order and insisted I never did business with them, even though I had a credit card receipt. She also claimed she had never heard of Cedric even though he had come to pick up for me previously and was fabulous.
I decided to try A1 a 3^rd time this morning for a delivery 10 miles away. I entered all the information online and everything seemed great until I put in a business credit card number. I received an error even though I know the CC# is correct.
I called the Customer Care number provided and talked to Kathy. She started out being very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, when I told her the amount the items should be insured for (after she asked me), she turned suddenly unfriendly and borderline rude. She told me A1’s insurance would not cover more than a $ 1,000 and they were declining my delivery request and did not want my business. I understand that business has certain requirements, but she went from being super helpful to wanting to get me instantly off the phone.
I asked if she knew of a delivery company that might be able to take my delivery (computer server parts) she seemed annoyed that I had even asked and said no. Even if I had a package in the future which met A1’s insurance requirements I would never call them again.
Three strikes and you’re out. Maybe A1 is great in other cities, but my 3 experiences in Dallas ranged from really great to not good.
This story does have a happy ending. I was recommended to Dallas Courier and not only were they happy to accept my business, they arrived quickly and cost less than the quote I had initially received from A1. They said there was no issue with insurance. In fact, the driver said he delivered to the same company recently where we needed our boxes delivered.
I am going to use the new courier a few times before I write a review to see how they turn out, but so far so good. If A1 refuses your business in Dallas, don’t worry. There are lots of other great couriers out there who want it.

the worst ever!!! i called at 11am and it is 6pm and package no where to be found. first they closed my ticket stating that package was delivered and signed for but the package was still sitting at original pick up location??? then they said they made a mistake and they would pick up package at 3pm. it was 5pm and package no where to be found they stated that it was again delivered and signed for with a name that did not exist in this building. only to find out that the guy still had the package and a1express was lying about the package having been delivered and name of signature. horrific!!! will never ever use them ever again! mind you this was a package going from downtown to midtown!!!

They really saved the day. I called them at 9:00 at night to get a delivery in NJ before 10:00 am the next day. Very friendly service over the phone especially when I was not very calm. Plus it was cost-​effective. I’m making them my go-​to courier!

I used this service to send an envelope across Chicago. The website is easy to use, and the delivery man was on time to-​the-​minute. Although he had 4 hours to make the delivery, he took my package to it’s destination immediately. I’d use this service again.

I had an urgent document to get to our Attorneys this morning and no time to drive it over there myself.
The woman who answered my call was very polite and accurate. We got my information entered, I paid for the service with my credit card, and she said the Driver has a 90 Minute window to Pick-​up/​Deliver our package.
Everything is going smoothly so far!
I’m going to add the business now and then come back in a bit to finish my review and tell you how it all ends. In the meantime? If you have anything you need to get to someone in a Jiffy? Call A1!
It was just $ 92 to have something picked up in Milpitas, CA ASAP and delivered to Palo Alto, CA within a couple hours! Ease of mind is well worth it!
END OF THE STORY: They came within the 90 Minutes to pick up and immediately delivered our documents right away. I got an email confirmation of the order and then another one when it was personally delivered to our intended recipient. I will certainly call upon them again in the future when I need reliable courier service.
