Astro Dog

What is it about being drunk that makes you SO hungry and parched for junk food? I don’t know, all I know is Astro Dog was at the right place at the right time. Having exhausted most of our cash at MJQ’s cash only bar, we concluded it was time to leave.
As we exited, behold the Astro Dog stand sitting in front of the exit, permeating a mouthwatering aroma. With our last $ 5 (the stand is also cash only) we purchased the chili cheese dogs — which were luckily 2 for $ 5. The hot dogs were absolutely drenched in chili and cheese, definitely not waistline friendly but delicious none the less.
The guy running the stand was friendly and patient, and he makes a good dog, quick!

Whats better than stumbling out of the club after dancing the night away and stepping right into annnnnnnn ASTRO DOG! The smell of grilled onions and chilli is enough to sober you right up. Walking out of MJQ this past Wed. low and behold a hot dog stand. and not anyyy old hot dog stand but an ASTRO DOG hot dog which came with its own nicely planned out cosmic style chalkboard. The options were endless. Seattle style dog, slaw dog, chilli cheese dog, chips, drinks. What more can you ask for at 3am. well ok don’t answer that.
So I ordered the chilli cheese with onions and my girlfriend got the slaw dog. Dude, it was so damn good I got seconds. I couldn’t help but notice how amazing my girlfriend’s slaw dog looked so I got that the second time around. The slaw was absolutely good. the guy who operates the stand said he made it himself. Works for me!
Everything about the hot dog was fresh and flavorful as a hot dog at 3am can be lol. I cant say it was the alcohol because by that time I was completely sober. It was so good me and my friend sat in the car thinking of ways we can cash up on this idea. like the line of people outside the stand seriously had us thinking about opening our own lil hot dog stand lol. I mean there was more of a line for the hot dog stand then there was for the club!

ER MEH GERD. It’s late. I’m tired from work but not tired enough to go to sleep. As I step up onto the Star Bar patio, there is a delightful tinge of grilled onion to the air. What, there’s a late night hot dog stand here all of a sudden? Why did no one do this sooner? This guy is going to make a million bucks!
Astro Dog offers all-​beef and veggie dogs with all the toppings and stuff, including the unorthodox but delightful Seattle-​style dog, which features cream cheese and grilled onions. I never ate a hot dog in Seattle, but this one is good with Sriracha. Dogs run from $ 2.50 to $ 4. Bring ya money.
