Enjoyed a belated anniversary celebration here. The ambience is excellent. Very elegant with the numerous Picasso and Monett on the wall. Service was great, food was fabulous. The restaurant had complimentary champagne for us. Do indulge in the 3 speciality breads and the special butter that comes with it, so worth the extra«next day workout.» Our meals were so good we did not have time to take pictures as we could not wait to dive in We had the oysters, the peach salad, the trout and the codia, try them all delicious. They have music on Friday only on their lovely lanai, which is also available for dining. Everything about this place says 5 stars. Pricey, but worth the experience.

Came here on a lazy Friday afternoon for some food and a cigar. Sat out on the patio. Everything was really outstanding! The food, the service, the weather, not that you can really control the last one. Started with the Crispy Wianno Oysters. They were really great. The Pickled Peppers are a nice accompanying touch. I had the Pan Seared Virginia Wreckfish as an entrée. It’s one of the best pieces of fish I’ve ever had. The dish is served with Fennel, Baby Carrots, Pearl Onion, Broccoli, Globe Artichokes, and Basil Green Garlic Purée. I almost didn’t want to eat it because it was so pretty, but I’m sure as hell glad I did!!!

I know you’re taking your chances on Mother’s Day, but when you have a reservation, you show up on time, the place is half empty, why do you have to wait a half hour for a table? To rack up a bar bill, that’s why! Silly me. I dine out in Manhattan a lot. This was Manhattan prices with mediocre food. Morel soup was thick; salad was over salted. Didn’t stick around for the rest. Next time I’d go to St. Cecilia or the Ordinary. Better food, better prices, and they don’t make you wait at the bar when the place is half full.

Not a place that we will revisit soon. We went on Saturday night and I guess the first tip-off was that it wasn’t overly busy. At 7:00 pm, all 6 of us were able to walk in and sit at the bar and at least 2⁄3 of the tables were empty. Once seated it took forever to get drinks. Our server came over and introduced herself, but then took off before my husband and I could order drinks(the other 4 we were with already had drinks from the bar). It also took quite a while for someone to even come over with water. After our server finally came back and we were able to order drinks, another couple we were with discovered that they actually didn’t have full menus. We waited for those to be replaced and, after another lengthy absence, our server came back to take our appetizer order. Our appetizers arrive and look great, but aren’t exactly hot. Not worth sending back, but for the amount of time we waited for them, they should have at least been hot. Since all of us are still holding menus, it was a little awkward to try to eat while still holding onto a giant menu. As they plates are being cleared our server comes back to take our entrée order. It was just kind of an odd experience — she was kind of whispery and having weird side conversations with everyone while they ordered. She also didn’t really want to make recommendations or give opinions on any menu items, which i thought was odd for a server at a high end restaurant. The food comes out and, same as the appetizers, everything looks great, but it’s kinda cold. The portion sizes were kind of small as well. We all left still slightly hungry. Another thing that we thought was off, was there had been a lot of information about all the art work and we were told that you would be given an ipad loaded with info on all the pieces. Even though we commented about that, we were never offered the ipad or any additional information on the art. There are no bathrooms inside the restaurant itself, which isn’t a huge deal, but when we did use the restrooms, there seemed to be some sort of event going on and there was a huge line of 5+ others waiting. Definitely overpriced for both the food and the service. This restaurant is clearly just relying on their space inside the St. Regis for all of their appeal and their clientele.

Underwhelming and overpriced. We went to dinner here with 2 other couples on Saturday night and had a pretty bland & uninspired meal, complete with terribly-paced service, and a ridiculous check at the end. I’m more than willing to pay for a nice meal, but that’s not what we got here, so I felt robbed when we left the restaurant having paid such an exorbitant price for so little quality. I should have known something was up when we were seated and 2 of our menus were missing pages & out of order… it’s all about the DETAILS! Then it took an unusually long time for the server to arrive, which was especially annoying to the couple who arrived last and hadn’t had a chance to order drinks at the bar; nor did we have any water at the table. Each course was more boring and flavorless than the last. The presentation of most plates was pretty(with the exception of my gray & sad looking morel mushroom soup) but the flavor just wasn’t there. Hell, half the dishes were missing salt! Our apps arrived long before our server ever took our entrée order, which meant we were negotiating with menus while we attempted to eat our apps. If it wasn’t for the good company & conversation, I’d say this was a completely wasted Saturday night. Other notes: Our server was just… ODD. She was very nice but a little strange and kind of creepy. She kept sneaking up behind us, whispering in our ears, and was definitely in our personal space more than was necessary. It actually became a joke at our table who she would pop up on next. The ladies restrooms in both the hotel lobby and the floor near Atlas were a mess. They were missing TP, dirty and had hand towels overflowing all of the wastebaskets. I would definitely expect more from the St. Regis(again, DETAILS!) The bar and the artwork are the two redeeming qualities of this place. It may be worth checking out for a drink, but that would be it. Eater 38 was definitely wrong about this one. Save your money and go to St. Cecilia or Marcel.

My review is for the fabulous Wednesday night experience I had on the patio at Atlas. Let me say I love trying all kinds of restaurants! I will most likely never eat a meal at Atlas because it is just too pricey for me to enjoy. I cannot spend that kind of money on food! However. What a gorgeous, sexy place! I loved the décor & the feel. Back in the day hubs & I enjoyed special evenings at Pano’s & Paul’s & I felt nostalgic walking into Atlas! I was with a group of friends & we were meeting on the patio for drinks & live music! The patio is perhaps the prettiest in Atlanta! The band. phenomenal! I remember the lead singer’s last name… Lushington… That’s all I remember! Must have had one too many glasses of the $ 5 champagne special! So I will return for drink specials on the patio. but that’s it! And that’s enough!

One of the best restaurants I have been to in Georgia and in general. Its a fine dining atmosphere with beautiful abstract art and décor. I expect nothing less from a place inside the st Regis. The service was excellent. The food very good. Sometimes at places like this the food is so unique that there are things that don’t really work but not at this place. I say this is a really good date night spot. I heard from my hotel that the owner put a lot of time and money into the art and concept in this place so if you want to feel fabulous for the night this is the place to go without feeling pretentious.

Dinner club outing brought me to Atlas. About 6 of us dined in on a Saturday evening. Valet parking is available — shared with Chops. Atlas will give you validation for this. Just make sure to tip. You can also self park in nearby parking decks but this is not validated. We were seated in a very nice booth. However, it was a bit tough to get in and out of. The meal started off with complimentary bread. You got your choice of three options– honey wheat, pretzel, and something else. I chose honey wheat. Don’t worry, you can always flag down the bread basket server if you want more. The butter was super cute. See my photo. Never seen anything like it. Either the bread or butter was a bit too salty. Not sure which since I had butter on each piece. Atlas is definitely on the higher end of what I typically pay when going out for dinner. $ 29 for a burger? Wow. I opted for the Black Angus Fillet Steak and Potatoes entrée — Horseradish and Shallot Crust, Dry Age Potato Confit, Spring Onion, Russet Potato Purée, Pommes Dauphine, Herb Roasted Mushrooms. No appetizer, but a friend let me taste hers. She ordered the TRUFFLEPOTATOPIEROGIDUMPLINGS: Slow-Braised Wagyu, Caramelized Onion Purée, Crisped Parmesan, Herb-Roasted Mushrooms. The dumplings’ appearance was a surprise. Kind of deconstructed, I guess you could say. But very yummy! The steak was about 8 oz. so good portion for the price. Cooked perfectly and tasty. I loved the various takes on the potato. The small baked potatoes could have been cooked a bit longer though. A friend order the BERRIESANDCREAM(Raspberry Tart, Mascarpone Cream, Basil Cremeux) to share. This was also very good. All the dishes had lovely presentation. Service was impeccable here. And we noted that all the servers were gorgeous. Must play a role in their hiring practices. That’s just an aside. No bearing on my rating. Very surprised by some of the low ratings thought. I kept remarking throughout the night how wonderful the meal and experience was. NOTE: You can get an iPAD that will tell you about all the lovely art that they have. However, since they had just switched out the art, the new info wasn’t loaded yet. So we didn’t get to experience that. Oh well. Next time, hopefully.

I cannot say enough good things about this establishment. From the impressive wine list to the chef coming to our table and speaking with us. I have the lamb which was absolutely perfect. My friend that accompany me is a chef from Canada a very meticulous about his food and he was very impressed. We had the crème brûlée for dessert which is always delicious when done right and of course this was done perfectly

I came again for the third time and it was the best meal I’ve ever had!!! We had Hugo as our server, Will and Alicia assisted and Caleb as the beverage director. Also Godwill or Godfree was housekeeping who informed me of the 6pm free champagne!!! We hardly get a night out and this was due in a long time!!! Our wedding is in two months and I wish we could cater because we would! Will be a regular from now on!!! Love this place! Service was the best!!!

An impressive culinary adventure awaits you at Atlas! Located inside the Four Seasons, the restaurant draws a decidedly mature, sophisticated crowd. It’s always abuzz with couples and groups, celebrating anniversaries, birthdays, etc… Once seated at our table, we were greeted by a young man who took our drink orders & reviewed the menu. We selected the lightly cured yellowtail hiramasa($ 20) & the fettuccine Alfredo with UGA caviar($ 26) as our appetizers. The yellowtail had a wonderful flavor profile but the portion was so small we really didn’t get to savor it & enjoy it. Delicious but sadly too scant! The fettuccine, on the other hand, was slightly more substantial but flavorless — and the caviar didn’t add anything exceptional to the dish. What I enjoyed most was my entrée, the pan roasted black bass($ 37)! It was sensational! Cooked perfectly, it was crisp on the outside & tender on the inside. It had a great salty, savory taste to it balanced by sunchokes & vinaigrette. And the desserts were also impressive! You can’t go wrong with the manjari chocolate mousse($ 10)!! With ingredients like hazelnut, caramel, praline — what more could a girl want?!! It was the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner.

3.5 stars. I came here recently for dinner and ate at the lounge. I read about this place from the Eater 38 list for Atlanta, so decided it was worth trying. I ordered the 3-course tasting menu and had the roasted sunchoke and leek soup, pan seared wreckfish, and roasted cauliflower risotto. While the soup was a bit under-seasoned, I felt the risotto was a bit too salty. However, the wreckfish was quite tasty and the perfect texture. The server convinced me to order dessert, so I got the huckleberry donuts and substituted toasted almond ice cream. While the rest of the food was just okay IMO, dessert was BYFAR the best thing I ordered here — the donuts were the perfect size and just the right amount of sweet. I’m not sure I quite understand the hype around this place, but perhaps I just didn’t order the right items. –L.

The food was outstanding. I had risotto and it was amazing. The flavors exploded. The breads were nice too. The restaurant could have been a 5 but the beer selection was the worst I have ever seen in a restaurant. There were about 10 beers and none of them were what I wanted. There was one porter and a lot of lighter beers. I like Amber ales or even wheat beers. Nothing even close

This place surprised me. It wasn’t on my radar as a must try restaurant but wow — it should’ve been! Our server recommended the oysters and beef pirogies to start. The oysters were fried with pickled peppers, avocado mousse on top — incredible flavors! The beef was tender and the potato dumplings flavorful. Great start! For entrees we had the fresh fish — cod over mushrooms, broccoli tips and wild rice. I love that they didn’t try to over season this dish. Simple fresh and light. Second entrée was bone marrow crusted tenderloin with mushrooms, wax beans and puréed potato. Wax beans aside this, too, was a perfect flavor combination. Overall so impressed with the food. I couldn’t give it the 5 stars only because service was a tiny bit slow and dessert was not even close to the quality of apps/entrees. The vibe is modern yet classic — dark colors and dim lighting, full of collectors art. If you ask, your server will bring you an iPad showcasing the art. Even a piece from Van Gogh and Picasso!

Overall 2 stars but for how expensive this place is, it hardly deserves 1. Appetizers were above average but roughly $ 20 each plate for 3 or 4 bites of unexceptional food just isn’t worth it. The scallops and trout were solid but unspectacular but the $ 60 ribeye was without exaggeration, the worst piece of meat I’ve ever eaten. We ordered it medium and it came out slightly rare which ended up being okay but the flavor was absolutely terrible. Under-seasoned and it tasted like blood. Absolutely disgusting. The service was actually pretty good for the most part until dessert which took over 20 minutes to come out, longer than our entrees. We were celebrating a birthday as well and they charged us for the birthday dessert. You would think restaurants would know better than that by now. The patio area was very nice by any measure and the weather was really the only thing keeping us from complaining too much. For the price, I can’t imagine why anybody would eat here. Even if everything was half the price, I still couldn’t give this place more than 3 stars. There are so many better restaurants in the area.

The inside of this restaurant is beautiful. Didn’t get a chance to see the patio area but there are priceless works of art surrounding you as you eat. Their kitchen is open so you can see most of what’s going on. I didn’t like that they don’t have their own restroom so you have to leave every time you want to use the restroom. The presentation of the food is gorgeous and service was great. Our guys repertoire seemed very rehearsed and some of the suggestions were off but whatever. I had the Cobia for dinner and everything seemed okay except a bite or two in, I discovered that there were bones in it because I bit into some. No Bueno. I informed the server who then got managers involved and two of them came over to apologize for the mishap. That was great. They brought out a fresh plate and the second one actually tasted very different– Markedly better than the one with the bones I had before. Anyway, the coursing got messed up and I ended up taking more than half of it to go so I didn’t really get to enjoy the dish because it’s best served fresh. Pretty surprised that they didn’t comp the dish that was messed up off the check. Negative points for that missing level of service. Come on, St Regis. I thought you were better than that. Also had the hamachi starter and the short rib pierogis. Both were great. Friend had the veal with sweetbreads. That was also good. For dessert, we finished with the olive oil cake. Very light and tasty. Makes me wish I had ordered a couple different desserts. Oink. Would’ve given this place a better rating but considering the venue, the check thing annoyed me. I wasn’t trying to get a free meal– I’d much rather have had my meal come out perfect the first time so that I could enjoy it with my eating partner instead of taking most of it to go. But if you know you messed up, you shouldn’t make a customer pay for it.

I’ve been blessed to have eaten across the country and world at some amazing spots but never while looking at a few million dollars of fine art. This was so far beyond the generic TCG, Mortons, Ruth what-the-f is her name, blah blah blah crap that we drop top dollar on. Start with the décor. The space has a warm feeling without the dark wood paneled pretentious crap mentioned above. The bar has limited seating but arm chairs are laid out in a manner that allows you to have a conversation and contemplate the day prior to your meal. If I could be so bold as to recommend a fine small batch bourbon while appreciating the Chagall displayed in perfect light. Moving on to the dinning room, I’m sure it’s everyday that the unwashed dine beneath works of Picasso, Matisse and Francis Bacon. We had a team of exceptional servers that fully explained the small but well varied menu. I chose the Vidalia Onion Soup to start and Lamb Loin for the main course. The food was simple, complex, well crafted and perfectly executed if I could be so verbose as to include all of those adjectives. This was truly a dining experience. For those who get upset at having to wait, I’m sorry but people will flock to and pay for value. I was shocked at how busy the dining room was on a Monday night. You may not appreciate everything here but if you don’t, Golden Corral is right down the street.

Three of us had an awesome dinner here. We started with the oysters, rabbit confit and Waygu beef pierogi. All of these were great. The Waygu beef pierogi was the best fish of the night. The rabbit confit was served over handcut pappardelle, it was a great starter, light but rich. Dinner was Venison with barley porridge and parsnip. Delicious. Steelhead Trout with flageolet beans and squid ink pasta. Blue Ridge Trout with mustard greens, cranberries and sweet potatoes. Superb dinner, each plate was beautiful. Atmosphere is subdued, service was excellent. Liz did a great job of taking care of us.

Atmosphere is nice, yet this place misses some major points: — POOR drinks preparations. All the drinks were just bad. Moscow Mules were loaded with lime juice to the point where I thought I was just eating a lime straight up. Horse’s Neck was also in bad proportions and did not even taste like a horse’s neck. Not to get picky, but you should also not be using a potato peeler, but a lemon zester to make a proper horse’s neck twist. They can take lessons from St Regis bar next to them. — SAVORY dumplings/pierogies were the highlight of the meal for me. Prepared very very well and maybe have been some of the best I’ve ever had. This is the sole reason this restaurant got saved from a 1 star review. — LACKING food. Yes, I mean literally. They were out of lamb and another dish that I wanted to order. — OVERSALTED biscuits. Did the chef decide to unload the last bucket of salt into these things? I don’t know. Sure, you might think I am getting picky here, the atmosphere is very nice. But for the prices that I am paying, I expect near perfection and this was so far from it that 2 stars is a very generous rating.
