Rest safe with this Atlanta location as it will not have the same long lines as it does in the NYC locations. When in doubt, get the Shack Burger. It’s no gourmet burger, but still a lot better than McD’s. But I didn’t get the same satisfied reaction as I did with NYC’s Shake Shack burger. The cheese fries are not bad either. The ShackMeister Single burger won’t be filling for any adult; it’s more like a kid’s menu portion, so go for the Double burger instead. They have beer too but don’t think unique craft drafts. We went with the Terrapin Rye Pale Ale served in a plastic cup, and was very meh tasting. The prices are a bit steep for the portions provided but that’s Buckhead location for you. 1 hr free parking with validation by the restaurant.

This place is great, just as good as the original location in Madison Square Park, Manhattan. I’ve been to several highly rated spots in ATL(Grindhouse, Farm, Yeah!) and this place is just as good. It is a little more organized meaning less toppings to choose from but when you get down to it a simple double cheeseburger is an easy way to judge a tasty burger. I got a double with cheese; add a little lettuce, ketchup, and a dab of mayo. Delicious. Throw in a crinkle cut fry and a vanilla shake and you are bound to leave there with a smile on your face. Oh and they recently introduced the Chicken Shack sandwich for those who might not be a big burger fan. My wife got the Chicken Shack and thought it was really good, I asked if it was as good as Chick-fil-a and her look was a definite no, but I had a bite and also thought it was very good. I’ll get one next time minus the pickles :) I like the atmosphere and the modern look of the building. The tables are made from reclaimed wood from bowling alley lanes, made in Brooklyn NY. I’m a fan. Some reviews complain about the price, well they might be better of with MacD’s where the food is cheap and filling at best, fresh ground beef isn’t cheap these days… Easy in and out parking garage off Pharr Road, they will give you a validation ticket at the register.

The newest item on the menu, CHICK’N shack is so delicious! Very different from the chicken sandwich you get from chick-fil-A(don’t get me wrong, I LOVE chick-fil-A’s chicken sandwich!) where Chick’n shack’s chicken is the crispiest yet very thinly fried and the meat is very thick and juicy. Every bite was filled with delightful flavor with crunchy and soft texture. There aren’t very many kinds of veggies in the sandwich, only pickles and lettuce, but mmmmm the special sauce(different from the one in shack burger) definitely completes it. I also get the Peachtree shake every time I visit, because why not? I can get strawberry or chocolate shake from Wendy’s, Sonics, you name it, but peach milkshake is uncommon yet we’re in the state of Georgia! So let’s take advantage of it(assuming we’re the only Shake shack that offers this flavor)! I like to come during weird hours(like 2−5pm ish) to avoid the crowd because everyone loves Shake shack and it can get really busy. Sometimes you gotta sit on a dirty table because you’re holding a tray of burgers and starving but the workers don’t clean the tables quickly enough. But once you sit down and start eating, you won’t even notice the dirty table!

Some of the best and freshest burgers in town. This place is amazing and I will keep coming back just for the burgers. I highly recommend the Shack Burger and the Smoke Shack. You cannot go wrong with anything here! The burgers are some of the best in Atlanta because the quality and freshness of food has no comparison. My husband and I can put down some food so you know we got Doubles all around(he ate 2 burgers and 2 orders of fries). Make room for a concrete after because they are BOMB. Must absolutely try the Pecan Pie Oh My, this lil number has vanilla custard with big BIG chunks of H&F pecan pie.

Not sure what all the hype is about, this was average at best. I got the SmokeShack burger, it was small, and had a unique taste, not worth going back for. Any flavor the Shackcago dog had was grilled away and drowned in pickle relish. Nothing special about the cheese fries, either. To add insult to injury, The ticket to validate my parking didn’t work either. My guess is that people in Buckhead don’t have many affordable burger options, so this place is great for them, but we’re going to stay in the burbs and stick to 5Guys

I order the Smoked Stack because of the peppers… more on that later. The good: Anthony at the register, such a sweetheart and pleasant encounter for my first time here; kudos to him please management! My burger was prepared perfectly, was very moist and bacon was not fatty, actual MEAT; bun was buttered and did not get wet or fall apart the closer I got to the end of my meal. The crinkle fries were not greasy and salted just enough. Order was up quickly. The bad: Those peppers, I guess I was expecting some heat but instead got a big dose of vinegar. Cool lettuce and tomato would have sufficed or less of the pepper mixture. Lemonade regular size could be a touch larger for the price. Note that the lemonade is more tart than sweet here which I don’t mind. I would come back just to try a different burger on the menu. Outtie 5000.

This was an awesome spot! I love the scene. Although we spent $ 30 for 2 burgers, fries and drinks, it was pretty good. I would come again.

I finally got my hands on some Shake Shack. After YEARS of anticipation and obsessing from the west coast, I made my way into the atlanta location today for a SmokeShack. After the first bite, I almost shed a burger tear(literally). Hands down the BEST burger I have ever put between these jaws! Better than In n Out. And coming from a Cali native, that says A LOT! The beef was extra beefy, the bacon was extra smokey, and the cherry peppers they put on the burger gave it just the right sweet, salty, tangy bite(kinda like a pickle, but with way more jazz!). So simple. So meticulously crafted. So worth the wait. I also got a side of cheese fries, and let me tell you, that cheese sauce would make a shoe taste good! I have been converted to a Shake Shack lover. And to think, I’ve been in love with In-N-Out since I was a kid. I guess things do change!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm this is THE place to go to get your good old fashioned burger– I get the Shack Burger with extra cheese and last time I went I got the holiday special milkshake(peppermint chocolate). It was so good! Definitely recommend!

Nice Burgers! Actually… the best one in Atlanta! The place is pretty small and only 5 stars because of the poor poor POOR restroom…

Just tried Shake Shack for the first time today. Heard about it quite a bit so I was pretty happy to finally make it there. It was busy but the order takers were fast and pleasant. She was very nice about taking time to answer questions and did not make us feel rushed. The restaurant was nice and clean even though it was full of people. The staff was constantly walking around and cleaning off tables and sweeping floor was that was good. You can get parking validated if you park in the deck behind the restaurant with a purchase. Now to food. Maybe I had heard so much about how great the burgers were that I was expecting too much. While the food was good I would just as soon go to Five Guys and not have hassle of Buckhead. The fries were very good. The chocolate shake was too much chocolatey for my taste so I couldn’t finish it. Tried a S’mores concrete and once again it was okay but a little bland and tiny and too expensive. Overall it was okay but I would rate it as too expensive for what you get.

I had the Shack Stack burger, cheese fries and the Hannukuh custard. The burger was great and the shack sauce is delicious. I went here on a Saturday morning around noon and was able to order quickly. The restaurant is really cute and the service was pretty good, nothing over the top amazing. Free parking with restaurant validation. Overall a good experience.

Shake Shack is my all time favorite burger to eat. They are a little pricey, as can be expected with the Buckhead location. However, I’m sure the chain restaurant in general is on the more expensive side for a «fast food» joint. I’ve never had an issue with the food or my order being messed up in any of my visits here. But, I have also not eaten here during their busy hours. I tend to go during the«slow times» like around 3 – 4 pm. They do get SUPER packed during peak hours like lunch and dinner. My friends tend to think the fries are over-salted, but I never think they are. If that is a concern for you, request no salt/light salt? My favorite is the«smoke shack» burger that has bacon and cherry peppers on it… so delicious! Their cheese fries are also pretty damn good. Their shakes are pretty great too! I have yet to try their other food items like hot dogs since I am so hooked on their burgers. It is definitely better than the In n Out chain from Cali, in my opinion. Sooooo much better than Five Guys also.

I really like the burgers here. I ordered the Smoke Shack with crinkle fries. The burgers are made to order, so they are served Hot! The red peppers add a nice and interesting touch to the burgers. The crinkle fries are good. I am not a fan of the cheese sauce, but my husband likes the cheese sauce. The shakes are flavorful and thick, just like I like them!

Good burgers. They are not very big though. I wish there are more toppings options. I like Grindhouse Killers Burger better. The milkshake is veryyyy good. Just a little over priced($ 5. 1 small size)

SHACKBURGER Cheeseburger topped with lettuce, tomato and ShackSauce. I always get this one, single patty because it’s the perfect size, reminiscent of the In-n-Out burger size. It’s perfect because it doesn’t fill you up so much that you can’t breath, but leaves you just full enough to want it again. The patty is so moist and juicy and delicious. The cheeseburger is what I like more and I like to add too many things to it. It’s a good burger, period. SHACK-CAGODOG Dragged through the garden with Rick’s Picks Shack relish, onion, cucumber, pickle, tomato, sport pepper, celery salt and mustard. I ate half of this hot dog along with the burger above and it was perfect. SHACKMEISTERDOG Topped with Shack cheddar and American cheese sauce and crispy ShackMeister Ale-marinated shallots. The shallots make this hot dog phenomenal and I’ll get it from now on. I actually ate this WHOLE thing after the burger and then passed out, but it was so worth it.

Parking: There’s a parking deck that is free for the first hour. You’ll turn into the shopping center either right before or right after Shake Shack(depending on which direction you come from) and should see a deck labeled«Parking». Shake Shack is a fast food restaurant so you order at the counter and they give you one of those waiting buzzers that vibrate/light up when your food is ready. They’re fairly quick about getting the food out. There are burgers and hot dogs to choose from. I had the Shack Burger which you can get as a single or double stack and it was delicious. The burger had cheese, tomato, lettuce, and a mayo based sauce that is sooo good. Although the burger was simple, it was well executed and the ingredients were fresh. I also had the crinkle cut fries which are SOGOOD– perfectly golden and crispy. The first time, I got the fries with cheese on them though and thought that was a big mistake because it made them soggy and I don’t even like cheese that much. I tried the frozen custard as well and thought it was good but I didn’t love it. Price wise, I would say it’s a bit expensive, but the quality is there! I would definitely come back again! Pro tip: Eat upstairs in the outdoor, rooftop patio area!

My girlfriends and I dined here for lunch on a Saturday. We arrived shortly before noon, and thank goodness we did because the line that was forming when we arrived grew out the door when we left. The line moves pretty swiftly so we were at the counter placing our orders in no time. Not wanting to spare any details on my first experience, I ordered the single ShackBurger, a side of fries, and a strawberry milkshake. Although the place was not yet very busy, we still had to scout for a table. Luckily, we followed a couple who was on their way out and were able to snag some seats, beating out another family who was waiting on a table. Only after a very short wait, my buzzer went off and VOILA! Food is ready. After hearing all the rave about Shake Shack, I had pure excitement going into this meal. I found the burger, while delicious, came off slightly too salty for my tastes. Every ingredient in the burger tasted very fresh and the burger was well crafted, not hastily thrown together. The fries are hot, tasty, crispy, very delicious, and incredibly addicting! I would highly recommend ordering these. The strawberry milkshake is good, but average. I was a bit disappointed that there weren’t any chunks of real strawberry in the shake. Next time, I would probably skip the calories and forego ordering the milkshake. Overall, I think this place is a little hyped up but still offers better-than-average fast food. A bit pricey(my meal was $ 15), but definitely worth a try!

I went in with slightly high expectations and that may have been the problem. It’s still pretty new, and I’ve heard about the chain before from Bourdain’s show on NY. Unfortunately, my first experience was less than desired, but I may go back one day. The positives: it’s cute and clean all around. Ample seating indoors, lots of natural light, and a lovely rooftop seating area upstairs. Great way to take in the Buckhead skyline. Solid 4 stars for the ambiance. The staff was decent too, but you don’t interact with them much outside of ordering and picking up food. So you get the little light up controllers that will notify you when your order is ready. Some of them have some funny remarks on them– see attached pictures. The food itself was OK. I got a SmokeShack– bacon cheeseburger, got the double patty version, with cherry peppers and ShackSauce. Beef was juicy, cheese was melted and good, but it wasn’t quite«wow”-ing. I enjoyed it but didn’t want to finish the whole thing, which is kinda sad. Ditto for the shake. I ordered the coffee Fair Shake. It tasted more like toffee than coffee. Definitely not the mocha-esque flavor I was craving. These were 3-star dishes, and unfortunately I paid more than what I felt they’re worth– $ 10 for the burger(no fries) and $ 5 for a rather small shake. I try to use Five Guys as a bench mark. Any burger joint that you want to go out of your way to eat should be able to beat Five Guy’s– Shake Shack doesn’t do that. In addition, I’m not the biggest fan of driving around in Buckhead because of the congestion at certain times. You also have to pay for parking unless you’re really savvy(which I am not). So when you add these factors in too, you’re better off heading somewhere else to satisfy the burger craving.

I really like our Shake Shake incarnation, via NYC. And not just because I had a bounty of good news yesterday, right before lunching. Or just because of the perfect view of the spring fleurs along the Peachtree sidewalk I had from our table. Because I really like everything about my first visit. Why?(Imma try bullets v loquaciousness this time) *NPWH. Counter staff, manager, server/busser. *Love.The.Vibe. It just works. *You can actually catch a time with no line. We did, at 1ish pm on a Tues, so y’all who say it’s *too busy*, pshh. *The shack burger is what I call down-and-dirty, old school, classic burgerdom. Hand sized, made just right, simple and perfect. *I have an aversion to crinkle fries but I took a chance– and I love theirs of crispy goodness. *You all who say it’s pricey? Tell me where you can get a classic chee-burger for $ 5 and change, besides McDs. Oh, and I meant a good-enough-one-to-get-again, not just because you’re going with drive thru… *And that NPWH thing? The busser lady overheard my trilling about good news and brought a complimentary custard: the oatmeal whatever one is rich(maybe a bit too for me to have more than a couple bites) and tasty. Note– the small size is definitely share worthy. For whatever combination of reasons, I like me some SS. Will return. As long as I can park in the garage and not valet. Pretty sure I can figure that one out.
