Great place to grab a drink. Little appetizers are good. Great location. Impeccable service. Always come here for good music and drink. Quiet and nice. Valet so it’s very easy and you don’t run into the younger crowd.

The atmosphere is amazing. The cocktails are good. The French onion soup was simply scrumptious. However, the noodles I ordered were subpar. I think I’ll stick to the soup next time and order a different fish. I actually like this place and I think I just made the wrong choice.

Was here for a welcome cocktail hour for a wedding. Nice lounge vibe, DJ on Fridays, prices are what you expect for the Four Seasons but everyone liked their food. Mad I didn’t know there was an off menu burger though!

Definitely a classy place, but one would only imagine with its location inside the Four Seasons! We went here for special occasion drinks with some girlfriends the other night and really enjoyed the chic atmosphere and comfy lounge seating. They had advertised live jazz music online, however when we arrived, there was a «DJ» with a couple dozen records. The music faded into the background and didn’t hold much of our attention. The Lady Victoria cocktail, while potent for its ladylike size, is a delicate blend of vodka lemonade and rosemary. The complimentary bar snacks of pretzels with beer cheese and spiced nuts added nicely to the tastes. Our waitress was very nice, but after she recommended the two most expensive cocktails on the menu and we declined at the high price tags, she seems to be much less interested in serving us…

I went for dinner and drinks with a friend and honestly wasn’t expecting to like the food as much as I did. Sounds stupid right? I guess I never really have high hopes for food inside a hotel. Even Atlas fell a bit flat for me, despite the grandeur. It’s a good thing to be pleasantly surprised. For my drink I got a copper kettle, basically a slightly sweeter gin and tonic. Quite refreshing and easy to drink. Burrata with 4 little slices of toast and pistachios for an app. Smooth in your mouth. Who doesn’t love burrata? Lactose intolerant people shut your mouths right now. For my main I went with the cacio e pepe AND the georgia shrimp with broccolini. Got to make sure I get my protein in. The cacio e pepe was perfect. It combines 2 of my favorites; cheese and noodles. Great comfort food. I’ve made it at home and mine definitely wasn’t as rich as Bar Margots version. The shrimp was fantastic. Four large shrimp with the heads on, perfect to suck those lil’ brains. Perfectly cooked broccolini. It also had a nice bit of spice to it. I tasted my friends shrimp suga(shrimp with rice dumplings) and it was pretty good. A bit too mild on the spice, but the rice dumplings tastes exactly like the rice cakes that came under calamari at Sobban(so sad it’s gone). For dessert we got the lemon tart and the banana cream pie. Don’t judge… we were celebrating a birthday. The tart was ok. I wish it was more tart in the taste department. The banana cream pie was both of our faves. It comes out all warm and gooey. The bananas are fried i.e. carmelized so it adds a good strong flavor. I’d skip the tart next time and go straight for the banana pie. Service was fantastic. Quick, helpful, honest. A+

What can I say, this place is fabulous. Ford Fry and the Four Seasons are a great team here. Both the food and service are top notch. You’ve got to try the beef tartare and one of everything from the mouth-watering cocktail list. The atmosphere is perfect for almost any occasion; I’m very much looking forward to my next visit. Big shout out to Chuan, you made our week!

Stopped in on a rainy Wednesday evening with my wife and two colleagues for an after dinner drink. The bar is up a floor from the marbled lobby of the Four Seasons tucked in a corner. It is very relaxing and quiet enough to carry on conversation with ease although my wife thought it was a little dark. Service was impeccable all evening. We ordered a bottle of red wine off their rather impressive wine list to enjoy along with shrimp and for lack of a better name crab on toast. Both dishes were fabulous and devoured promptly. It was an eclectic crowd this evening which made for some interesting people watching as we winded down. Turns out this is a favorite spot of one of my colleagues and I now see why. Hope to get a chance to return the next time I am in Atlanta.

Excellent food and drinks!!! I had some of the best crafted cocktails here created by very experienced bartenders. Jo was my favorite. He gave a little entertainment while making drinks and was very friendly. The DJ was very good, too. I forgot his name, but he played a very soulful mix with great throwbacks. The whole environment is super cool. The food is awesome! Portion sizes are a little small, but the meat ratio is large. I like the unique flavors. It is not what you expect at a hotel bar. The food is crafted, too. I hope this place continues to do well.

We stopped by Ford Fry’s restaurant within the Four Seasons Hotel last night to get the night started off right. He’s the guy behind Superica and The Optimist. This was the first time I’ve checked it out. We had awesome blue cheese-stuffed olive martinis and some yummy bar snacks: tuna tartare, the deviled eggs with Serrano ham and the crab fried rice. Loved the décor and bar and will be back again for sure soon.

I have been anticipating trying Bar Margot, and wow! What an experience! I sat at the bar as part of my birthday celebration with a friend and our bartender Joe gave us impeccable service. He made me a delicious coffee-based cocktail that I enjoyed with my dessert(chocolate cake with salted caramel ice cream I believe). The crab curry fried rice is a winner and so are the deviled eggs with ham. I wish I didn’t devour my food so quickly so I could have taken more pics to post in this review, but it was all so darned good! Can’t wait to visit this gem again!

Went here for a weeknight dinner and am looking forward to going back. We arrived at 6:15 and were seated right away in the lounge area outside of the bar. I really enjoyed this spot because the seating was comfortable and the view of the Four Seasons holiday decorations was beautiful. Service is excellent. Our drink orders were taken within 2 – 3 minutes of being seated. Then we asked for some appetizer recommendation. The waiter(or the manager. not sure) suggested the Burrata and Crab Toast. Both dishes were huge hits. We even ordered a second Burrata because it was so yummy. Next, we ordered our entrees. The Twice Fried Chicken(delicious and spicy), the Babette Steak(everyone loved) and the Ricotta Gnudi(melt in your mouth deliciousness). All entrees came out hot and perfectly cooked. One thing to note, the entrée portions are quite small and served a la carte. Fortunately our appetites were not ravenous(from the appetizers), because my order of Gnudi was $ 15 and only had 4TINY bite sized pieces. For the price, I would have expected 6 – 8 pieces. By the time I let everyone at the table have a taste, I literally had 2 ½ bites of food for my dinner. I took away one star for the price/small portions. Our total bill came to abut $ 200. I mean it was a fun and relaxing experience and I would like to go back, but for the price, I would expect larger portions of the entrees.

I was never a huge fan of Park 75(Four Seasons’ previous restaurant), so the announcement that Ford Fry was taking over the space came as a relief. I’m a huge fan of all of Ford Fry’s restaurants, and Bar Margot has the ability to be one of the best, as long as it sorts out all of its service issues(and it has quite a number), which is currently hampering the restaurant in finding its own place beyond bland Four Seasons hotel restaurant. Ambiance: Park 75 always struck me as stuffy and dated. By contrast, Bar Margot feels young, sleek, and modern. Instead of dining chairs, there are couches and inviting booths. Anchored by a huge bar, the restaurant feels more lounge than typical hotel restaurant. In fact, when we stopped by for a weekday lunch, the waiter asked if we were here for drinks only(ha!) Service: Here is where Bar Margot loses all of its stars. The service leaves quite a lot to be desired. We ordered appetizers and mains, but the appetizers never came. Instead, after almost ONEHOUR of waiting, all the food(mains + appetizers) came out at once. Thankfully, we had ordered a cold appetizer, but otherwise, that is unacceptable. Our waiter checked in on us maybe twice during that time. Our water and iced tea glasses remained unfilled. During our hour-long wait, we noticed a restaurant manager checking in on various tables, but never once inquired as to our table/long wait time. Food: Thankfully, the food made up for the terrible service. The crab toast appetizer was light, fresh, and well-seasoned. The lobster club was appropriately decadent and a large size serving. The seasonal greens salad with grilled tuna was flavorful and a good lunch size portion. Ford Fry’s food does not disappoint! Price: Bar Margot is expensive, but it’s to be expected of a restaurant in the Four Seasons, so no surprises. Our lunch entrees were between $ 20 – 23 and the crab toast was $ 15. I would say the NA drinks(coffee, iced tea, etc.) are overpriced for what they are, so just keep that in mind. Parking: We ended up walking over from our office in Midtown, but there is complimentary valet.

Great Midtown spot. I have only been here once so far. Cocktails were tasty priced right at $ 14. I had a couple of bites to eat. Food was great! Service was attentive without being hovering. I will be back for a more in depth review.

What’s happened here is very unfortunate. What used to be an elegant but comfortable gathering spot where locals and hotel guests mixed easily is now essentially a nightclub. Thumping music makes conversation difficult and can be heard throughout the lobby downstairs. Now you have to be seated by a maître d’ or have a reservation, rather than just coming in and picking your own spot. Since this is the only dining in the hotel currently, it also adds to the crowding. Alas, one of Atlanta’s best civilized watering holes is now gone. The service is still primo, though, despite the new procedures. A very grungy-looking Owen Wilson was at the bar the night we were there, so it seems celebrities may still stop by while in town.

I am not on the Margot train here! Found this bar to be lackluster on numerous points. It’s not necessary horrible, but just not worth the money in my opinion. THISIS A FIVESTARHOTEL? Now, I know this is not directly related to the bar, but since it’s inside the Four Seasons, I simply had to comment. The décor looks so dated and old, I would have never expected this to be a Four Seasons property. My personal opinion is that even when this post modern property was built, they skipped out on investing the quality of design. The bar, despite having been remodeled holds no comparison to some of the finer bars in Atlanta and other cities either. Take simple examples, like the St Regis bar that sets a different bar for comparison. No pun intended. VERYVERYOVERPRICED. The wine menu was marked up ridiculously, for no apparent reason. Multiples of four times the cost of the same bottles and they stock only the finer wines, meaning, you better be ready to drop some cash. SERVERDIDNTEVENCOME. Our server disappeared completely and didn’t even come to the table, so I left and didn’t want to cause a scene. Unacceptable experience when they are already not investing into proper renovations(note the word proper) and stocking very expensive wines. Service should be flawless.

My husband and I stopped in for a cocktail on our way home from a party, but the menu was so tempting we ate some of the most delectable food I’ve ever tasted. I thought the food at Marcel was the Ford Fry pinnacle in terms of cuisine, however the Ricotta Gnudi appetizer and the Chicken Mattone were phenomenal and perfect for sharing. The vibe is sexy and chic, based on the type of the spot the character, Margot, from the film The Royal Tenenbaums would go, which love her or hate her was portrayed superbly by Gwyneth Paltrow. If you’re not familiar with wines from the Justin Winery, try the half bottle of their Cabernet. Then get yourself somewhere to buy a bottle of their best offering, Iscoceles, light a candle and listen to your favorite album. I’d suggest Adele, Norah Jones, or Stevie Nicks.

Very nice high class bar with small bites to offer on second floor of Four Seasons. Went here late after dinner at La Grotta, the new décor and hipper more upbeat music really made a difference in this space. They have a wide variety of drinks, wine, beer and my favorite champagne. Very friendly and prompt service

Hotel bars are always a bit of a tough sell… you have to be creative & interesting to draw regular clientele and also be traditional and well-rounded enough to appease to the hotel guests. Bar Margot updated the former Four Seasons bar and with Ford Fry’s influence… it is still lounge-y, chic and upscale but feels a bit less uptight/formal and traditional as its former iteration. The tiny table we sat at was low and the chair were cushy and comfortable, but if you want a higher dining surface, you may want to sit at the bar because all the tables are low and lounge-y. The bar does have TV’s though… it had a college football game on while I was there. I don’t mind TV’s in upscale bars since I’m a sports fan, but some people may not like this. I also like the location… it is within walking distance of the Woodruff Center so if you are going to the Atlanta Symphony or Alliance Theatre, this is a good pre-show dining and/or drinks option. Cocktails were great… there is a large full bar with a fairly sizable menu of beer, wine and cocktails so everyone should find something they like. I had a couple gin based cocktails that were well made and tasty. I can see chef Fry’s influence on the menu, especially with the seafood dishes. The menu items are pretty classic but with some creative twists that gives them a reinvented spin. Most of the menu has shareable plates… the menu may change over time but when I visited, we tried the following: Crab toast– delicious, large chunks of crab on thick toasted bread, with herbs & microgreens. Hamachi with thin sliced cucumber, jalapeño– very fresh fish with refreshing veggies & microgreens. Pasta– cacio y pepe(cheese & pepper) with homemade tagliatelle noodles. Simple & clean, not too heavy. Lamb ribs– meaty with a couple Mediterranean inspired dipping sauces… I like the spin that separates it from traditional pork or beef ribs. Best dish of the night? It had to be the crab fried rice from the sharable appetizer section of the menu… it had a hint of curry, big chunks of crab, chopped peanuts, and some of the rice was a bit crispy(the same way paella rice can get that crispness from the cooking pan). While it has Asian(curry, chopped peanuts) & Spanish(seafood, paella style crispy bits of rice) influences, it is definitely its own«nationality» as a true fusion dish. Love this… hope it stays on the menu for awhile. Service was great… I found the servers to be attentive and friendly. They spaced out the dishes accordingly so that we never had more than two plates on our tiny table at one time(at our request). It was a little bit strange that they kept asking what our name for the table would be… I know it was to keep the orders organized, but you would think the hostess and servers would communicate this to each other so they would only have to ask us once. Otherwise, I like the direction this renovated bar/lounge is heading… worth a revisit if you had haven’t been to the Four Seasons bar in awhile.

We came here last Friday night right after seeing the symphony(a nice quick walk). It was the first Friday that they were open(they had opened the previous Monday). The food was fantastic. My wife and I shared the endive-blue cheese-pear salad and the steak. Delicious. The cocktails were tasty too — I had what was basically a fancy G&T, and my wife had a vodka drink(which she liked but thought too weak). The atmosphere was nice. It was a pretty standard looking hotel bar/lounge. I know that it is named after a character from a Wes Anderson movie, but I didn’t see anything in the décor based on the movie. Unfortunately we were seated in an extension of the lounge, which was basically the hotel lobby. As a result, the ambiance wasn’t as cool, and the wait staff I think had trouble finding us when we needed them. Which reminds me… The service was atrocious. We had at least 3 different servers, who weren’t communicating with each other. Our first round of drinks took about 20 minutes to come out. So did our second. After the first, one of our servers said the first round would be comped, but when the bill came it wasn’t.(We weren’t even going to bother complaining, but luckily the original server noticed it and took it off the bill.) I think everyone working here is trying hard, but their systems are not running well. Obviously, this could be because they just opened. Unless you are staying at the Four Seasons and want to get drunk without leaving your hotel, I wouldn’t come here, at least until they get the kinks worked out.

This is how a bar should be. Quiet enough to hold a conversation, very comfortable, and outstanding service. Great cocktails and a nice whisky list. An excellent late night food menu, although a bit pricey. The fish and chips were terrific. The fried cod was done perfectly. They list the«chips» in parentheses on the menu because they are potato wedges rather than fries but they were delicious. My friend’s sandwich was also very good. Even though I was staying at the W, it was well worth walking a couple blocks to come to this bar. Probably the best bar in Midtown, I highly recommend it.
