Let me start off by saying, I’m a huge fan of Bartaco and LOVE their food, drinks, etc. That being said, this particular location does not have the same vibe and feel as the others. I came here with my boyfriend one night a couple of weeks ago and had a great atmosphere, but the drinks were not the same quality/taste as the ones we have had at the other Atlanta locations, as well as the one in DC. So, that was disappointing. The food was very good. Okay…now here’s the reason my friends and I will not be heading back to Inman Park Bartaco. We were there on a Friday night and looking for the Bartaco chill, but fun bar scene. This was NOT the atmosphere. We walked into BLARING music and a wanna-be club scene. We spent the entire dinner in the dark screaming over each other. When we asked the server about it, even she seemed annoyed, because she couldn’t hear any of the customers. We tried to sit outside to avoid the noise, but it was freezing so this wasn’t an option(even with the heaters). Bartaco is a chain and should strive to meet the consistency and expectations that have been set for the restaurant. Making it into a club is a huge mistake and very disappointing. We will continue to visit Buckhead, but will not visiting the Bartaco in our Inman Park neighborhood anymore.

Everything was good as usual* I tried the duck for the first time and My usual Baja and sesame ribeye. Service was great and I even got a sample of the plantains which I may get on My next visit but after one or two bites I was full. So it’s something to share. I also got the cucumber salad which is now one of My favorites* Always a pleasant experience when I visit here . Both locations are now My go to for a light and tasty meal*

Service was good but the food here is bad. Skip this restaurant and grab a taco box from the grocery store, you’ll be better satisfied.

Service @ this location was by far 100% better than the West Midtown-Marietta St. location. With that being said, my server Daniel was attentive knowledgeable and quick. Food was good no complaints at all– we ordered the Baja, Chicken, Chorizo, Fried Oyster, Sesame RibEye, sweet plantain, and the Granada – alcoholic beverage. The Granda was Soo refreshing, not overwhelming. Only thing is i wish the food actually came out hot. Perhaps warming the taco shells first. Definitely will be back!

Bartaco is a beautifully appointed Taco-Tapas restaurant in Inman Park. I fell in love with the ambiance, but am still thinking about what food I’d fall in love with as well. Upon arrival, you’ll pretty much have to park in the parking deck in the residential complex behind Bartaco.(There is very little on-street parking.) I can see that being a bit daunting for those that dislike parking decks. When you enter the space a couple of things will immediately catch your eye. First, there are beautiful floor to ceiling-ish windows which show N. Highland. That’s worth the trip all by itself. The night I went, they played 60s-70s era Reggae music, which added to the feel good vibe that the designers of the inside got perfectly. The restaurant has a white and blue nautical feel with servers to match. The service is excellent. Folks were friendly and attentive. Here’s the issue that prevents 5-stars. Bartaco is in this class of restaurants that want to take Mexican tacos and use higher quality ingredients, or maybe uplift the dishes. Here’s the problem, let’s make sure that the food is super tasty just before we go messing with the ingredients. The food is clean and uncomplicated, but not better than the same tacos you’d find a Tacos Villa on Cobb Parkway or La Pastorcita on Buford Highway — even though the ambiance at both places do not hold a candle here. I had a margarita. It was clean, but the lime juice made it not sweet. I appreciated the non-koolaid flavor, but a little sweetness, even if natural would help. The tacos were decent, but not amazing. The fish taco was like beautifully piece of fried cod. But it didn’t have the lick your fingers good quality of Tacqueria del Sol. The oyster tacos shined when I had them. So Bartaco has all of the ambiance that you’d expect from an Inman Park fave, but I did not have that one super yummy dish that will make you return, no matter what the cost. In future trips, I hope to find it, but did not when I went. It’s good, but still not great. That said, the front of the house is stunning and maybe worth the trip, just for that.

Called Monday morning in last minute hopes to get a reservation for 12 – 15 and ended up having around 20 but the staff remained FANTASTIC! The tacos were great and the drinks were amazing! It wS my bday and they brought out churros with a candle which made my day! Everyone loved the guacamole and the salsa was good too. Can’t wait to keep supporting this restaurant

I just love this place so much! First off, if you get Lauren or Kyle, you’re in luck! They’re the best– So sweet, nice, and personable. There are many positive things I’d like to say about this restaurant. Like I said, Lauren and Kyle are great, and the rest of the staff seems to be very friendly, as well. Many works, including managers, came up and talked to us. That’s what this place seems to be all about! They’re really good at customer service and make every guests’ experience special! The atmosphere is awesome, too. This place is so cute. :) It has a nice, laid back, beachy feel. Finally, the food is so yummy! I had the Mahi Mahi and duck taco with black bean salad. The portions are small, but it’s delicious. I also tried the grilled corn. It’s spicy, but I recommended it. I can’t wait to go back and try other tacos!

The food is southwestern style so there are lots of great dishes that include fresh spices and peppers. My cousin sampled the«Ribeye Rice Bowl» and said it was delicious. For my dishes I chose tacos: the«Baja Fish» taco and«Portobello and Fresco Queso» taco. They were delish! The service was prompt and the staff very through on explaining questions I had about the dishes(not that l had many). Everything is served family-kitchen-style so it’s always fresh and made to order. The ambience is laid back and relaxing and the lighting is really unique; they were wicker basket and added a cozy feel for me. The music was perfect and kept the«good time» flow going. I recommend giving this place a shot! Hats off to the staff, chef and even my fellow patrons who made this a great stop!

Amazing! What else needs to be said? Trendy Nice mood Friendly Parking Good prices This is the kind of place you sit for 2 ½ hours without even realizing it! Music is good too, not too loud. Agave margarita 10⁄10 Corn off the cob 10⁄10 Plantains 8⁄10(would be a ten if gluten free) Rice bowl 9⁄10 I feel like Miami and Los Angeles are just miles from mi casa!!!

Great food, fresh, fast and the price is RIGHT! ! I always get fish tacos when I’m here and they are good. The margaritas are freshly made and don’t have a lot of the premix taste to them. The staff at the bar are cool and down to earth. They take care of you and can make some strong drinks. Daniel is pretty cool, he has a way of making you feel«right at home»!! I really like this place and the ambience. … I’ll be back!

I’ve been a fan of the bartaco chain after visiting the Westside location on several occasions. Like its counterpart on Marietta Street, the Inman Park location features beautifully executed coastal décor, friendly faces and an approachable menu. But the difference in location made a huge impact on the dining experience. As the new space is located on the newly renovated, often busy part of Highland, the restaurant was packed. However, I visited with a party of three on a Friday evening, and we were seated very quickly(within 10 minutes). The experience is part table service, part self service, and the restaurant uses sushi-style menu cards to take your order. Your server takes beverage and appetizer orders. We ordered guacamole and a cocktail each. The chips arrived maybe 15 minutes after ordering. The drinks took another 20 or so. The guac was long gone by that time. We placed our food order quickly after, but it took ages to arrive, maybe another 40 – 45. It took long enough a manager came by and apologized for the delay and we received a significant discount on our meal. The tacos were delicious and the flavors were fresh, plates well prepared, but waiting definitely made the experience a bummer. The check took yet another 30 minutes to arrive, long enough that one of our party left because we had been there so long. I was excited to have another taco spot closer to home, but I will probably only come back to this location on off-peak days or hours.

I noticed that bartaco had opened when I took a walk through Inman park from work. It looked cool and inviting and what kind of self respecting human doesn’t like tacos? I visited today with some co workers and the food was good. One of them said the duck taco was excellent. The rice bowl with sesame short rib was pretty good too. The service was quality as well. The reason for 3 stars is the prices and how they relate to the amount of food in your order. As in… they do not correlate. 2.50 for a taco that is 2 bites to eat is too much. Just call yourself a tapas place. I know the price of tacos at many other similar restaurants and these are similarly priced, but twice the size.

This is a great small plates type of place. Small tacos, but great flavor. The appetizers and other small plates that come along in the menu are great too. Don’t expect big portions for the price you are paying. The atmosphere is chill and fun and great to come with your friends to hang out, wine and dine. I usually order the pork pastor, fried oyster, pork belly, and the duck tacos. The guacamole is great, you can’t go wrong with that. The spicy cucumber salad was okay, definetly order the grilled corn and the plantains.

Loved dining here with my girlfriends on a Friday night. We sat outside near the heaters. The staff turned on the fireplace and there are warm(clean) soft blankets for your lap. There is plenty of space outside — but the vibe is quaint and relaxed The Staff is A+ … Very attentive and friendly, it’s a relaxed and causal atmosphere, good place for friends and dates alike. Our server was Kyle, and he made an extra effort to make our small group settle into our Friday night dinner– and we appreciated that Parking is validated — but … We still ended up paying $ 2 … Parking was in the deck behind the building, look for the sandwich board sign The food was great. Lots of non-meat option. I had the falafel, the baja, and the mushroom taco. All were tasty, but the falafel was the most original and the most authentic taco Guac — just a tip, get the bigger size — it’s good and the small won’t last long! No draft! Had Pacifico in a glass, perfect pairing!

Love this location!!! Not only is the food amazing, our server, Plum is awesome! She’s very attentive and personable. She really made us feel like family here. When you come here, please ask for her! She gives great suggestions and knows/addresses you by name. This location seems less crowded than West Midtown location, however it a Tuesday. We will definitely be back, often!

I joined a group already gathered at the low tables in front of the fireplace around 7:30 on a Wednesday. The server was attentive in terms of making sure each person who arrived was greeted and the drink order was taken. I chose the sangria, a white sangria, and dug in to the chips and guacamole already at the table. We kept nibbling and drinking as a few more joined us. Eventually, we did ask the server if we could order. We choose the large tray which came with a large guacamole, 9 tacos, 2 tamales, and 4 sides. I also got the gazpacho to start. The guacamole was out in no time flat, and the gazpacho shortly after that, but the tacos took another 15 – 20 minutes. I thought the guac was pretty tasty — the right balance of lime juice and salt. I enjoyed the gazpacho, which was smooth with a few bits of peppers and diced tomatoes(I normally prefer mine to be on the chunky side), with some oil and house made croutons on top. The tamales were good, with lots of pork or mushroom. I really enjoyed the spicy cucumber salad and grilled corn, which for us was cut off the cob. I saw others had ordered where it was served on the cob, so I’m thinking ours was cut off since the tray was designed to be shared. The chorizo taco was good, though not particularly memorable. Our server disappeared while we were eating, so we had to have another server track her down when it was time for the check, but she handled the check well, dealing with us writing amounts, and paying in cash and with cards. All in all a good experience, enough so to make me want to try the bartaco closer to my house.

We will definitely return. On our way back home from a walk on the Beltline, we were going to stop in Inman Park. Our original intention was not Bartaco, in fact I didn’t even know one had opened there. When I saw it, we changed our plans. I knew the one in Midtown gets good reviews. The restaurant was fairly empty. We chose to sit at the bar. We were immediately greeted by Jacqueline who told us about Bartaco’s operations i.e. everything is fresh and made to order, you review the menu and then write your order ticket for the items you want, you have a clip and a blue plastic indicator to show when you want service. We had four types of tacos(mahi mahi, ribeye, duck and pork). They were all very good. A little kick but not terribly hot. We also had the ceviche and beans. The service was super personable and the set-up for the employees appears to be super functional. The décor is very reminiscent of the northeastern coast. Overall this is a Yes!

I had no idea until a few hours before I went that there was a new Bartaco closer to me. With my sister in town, off we went as part of a Saturday night bar/eatery hop. I think I was the last to know as this place was hopping but no surprise. It’s directly across from Barcelona Wine Bar and already pulling a good crowd, granted it was the weekend. Wait time for a table was over an hour but around 45 mins we were able to snag seats at the bar. We were given complimentary guacamole and chips which were really good. I like that they put jalapeños in it so there’s a little but of a kick. FYI for those sensitive to heat. In fact, everything had a bit of a kick which I enjoyed. Despite the belligerent antics of a too-drunk jackhole who wouldn’t leave us alone and was eventually escorted out, we had a great time. We stuck to a few tacos and the corn and cucumber salads and a few drinks. I love their caipirinhas and the very awesome bartender — Jamison/Jameson(?) — made us some super spicy margaritas that definitely packed a punch. A slow sipper done very well. He and the rest of the barstaff were fantastic in terms of service. For their first weekend, they handled the crowds well. I’m sure I’ll return to hang out but will probably skip the weekends.
