Absolutely LOVE BarTaco. There is this sauce they make with cilantro mixed in and let me tell you how amazing it is. I get their fish tacos every time. The staff is professional and clean and the atmosphere is great as well. Definitely recommend!

Churros, Churros, Churros. Need I say more? They are delicious. We have been here many times. Food is excellent. Service matches. Two locations ITP. Their cocktails are overboard. Saw the bartender put three fresh limes in one margarita.

Food was so-so… –Chip appetizer was good, especially the green salsa –Chicken taco was great –Fish taco was very salty(batter?) –Pork taco meat was dry –Shrimp taco’s shrimp had a fishy taste smell Didn’t feel like a value at $ 2.50-$ 3.50 for a taco barely two bites in size. Service and ambiance were great

I have an amazing experience every time I come here. The servers are helpful, timely, and personable. I was with my male friends so we ordered a variety of tacos, all were good, the al pastor is great so are the fish tacos! We shared cocktails and churros, all so tasty. The old thymer cocktail was fantastic! The hot cocktail packs a serious punch as well, loved it! Can’t wait until summer is back so the beautiful space can all be used again!

Fresh tacos in a clean, hip atmosphere and for a decent price. My wife and I ate here on a whim and were really impressed. We were full on less than $ 25 of delicious, freshly made tacos. Other stuff like guac and churro looked amazing as well! But the real highlight was how fresh the food was. The tacos are pretty basic, meaning that there are not piles of seasonings or anything. It’s a slaw with a protein. They have three great sauces you can use, and we loved the jalapeño one. If we lived in ATL we’d come back here, a lot. Most tacos were $ 2.5 or $ 3.5 – fantastic pricing for what you get. It’s worth noting that there is a great bar, and an excellent outdoors area with a fireplace! Such a cool setup. We were so impressed and just thinking of the restaurant now makes me long to return. This is on the list of MUSTSEE for ATL.

First time visiting Bartaco(thanks to a recommendation by my best friend!) and we loved everything about it! The tacos were delicious(highly recommend the portobello for any non-meat eaters). The guacamole was amazing and the margaritas were so fresh! Our server, Matt was the best! An overall excellent experience! We will definitely be back!

Bar taco is always my favorite! This time I got to bring the hubs, the best friend and the best friend hubs! We choose here to celebrate New Years because it’s good and it’s a great atmosphere! Our server, Matt, was unknowingly hilarious and responded quickly to our every request. The margaritas were on point and as a foursome we ordered the Large Tray and added a couple extra tacos and sides. Perfect amount! All was delicious especially the grilled corn… I recommend getting it «off the cob» though. We also chatted with Todd and he(like Matt) was awesome, personable and very kind. Definitely one of my fav ATL spots! One request: come to Indianapolis!!!

Great guac. Average apps. Mediocre tacos. Bad service. The outdoor space is very well done, as is the interior.

Bar taco is amazing. Accommodating and fun. It’s pouring rain and they walked us to the door with umbrellas. Fantastic margaritas and awesome food for all diet types. Huge gluten free menu. Love love love this place! Great atlanta hot spot for celebs too.

So first things first: look at the title and realize it is a Tapas Style Restaurant — so the portions are small, but it’s to encourage you to try out a bunch of different things. The food is fantastic, so I recommend trying as much as you can. The drinks are great too, but to go along with the tapas style restaurant, they’re not huge drinks for the price… but their margaritas are still awesome. Their service can be slow, but I have been told that they’re working on that and look forward to seeing the change. My date and I had a bad experience recently, and the manager went far out of his way to make it up to us and make up for it. That should tell you something about this place, they truly care about your experience and want you to love their restaurant. Great food, awesome atmosphere, good drinks, and improving service. I definitely recommend this place to everyone that asks for a «good place to eat around here».

Location: Marietta St. in Midtown. Fav Item: Grilled Corn w/chilé seasoning. –Positives: Customer service is good. Ordering is similar to sushi bar. –Negatives: Too dark of an ambience for me, very packed and small, food wasn’t amazeballz. –Overall: Probably won’t come back to be honest. Quality of food wasn’t worth price nor were portions.

This is a fun place, especially if you can sit outside under the lights and stars. My friend T and I split the small tray once our waiter George told us we could pick the items(vs the chef). The small included 6 tacos, 2 tamales, guacamole and chips and 2 sides. An excellent deal for $ 26! And perfect for 2 – 3 people. T had a Baja fish taco, duck taco and a shrimp taco minus the curry sauce. I also tried the fish taco plus a spicy chorizo taco and fried oyster taco. All were delicious! We also sampled the taco they’d just showcased on a Cooking Channel show, wild boar. Yum! We both liked the guac a lot. Nice and lime-y, with a punch of heat! Tamales were good, but the tacos(and drinks) are the star. Our side choices were the Mexican street corn and pineapple with lime. Killer. Drinks: we tried their Bartaco margarita(strong, fresh), the Old Thymer(a tasty sipper) and the Sashito(which knocked poor T for a loop!). All recommended. Management: Visiting FL manager Brittany made T and me feel like VIPs — I will visit her if I ever get near her FL location. Head honcho Lee also made us feel special by visiting our table to check in. Natale, a newer manager, stopped by to check on us too, recommending our 2nd round of drinks for us. Take advantage of their valet parking — pull in just in front of the building. Can’t wait to return!

I love me some tacos, good drinks, and a great scene. Bar Taco had all these. We started with a couple drinks. The Sashito was great, with a smooth watermelon flavor without tasting too sweet or artificial. If you want something minty and like cucumber, the Port Chester Reviver is a solid choice. Finally, the Old Thymer was also yummy and perfect considering how much I love bourbon. For food, we started with a delicious yet surprisingly authentic Pork Tamale. For tacos I had the baja fish, curry shrimp, and pork belly. The curry shrimp was average and the pork belly was good. But my favorite was the baja fish, which was crispy and fresh. The only knock I had on the tacos was the tortilla — a huge disappointment given how solid everything else was. Finally, the service and atmosphere were nice with a casual yet classy feel.

Being the second bartaco location I visit in the last month, I will say I am still impressed. Now, before you say that the word impressed and three stars don’t quite go hand in hand, let me elaborate. The vibes are totally there. It’s rustic, industrial look is awesome and you can’t beat the price to quality ratio. However, there are a few things that disappointed me. Guacamole. This is not guacamole, it’s a pathetic attempt at mixing avocado with an immense amount of lime. Seriously, why so much lime? It was just drenched in lime juice and was one of the worst guacs I’ve ever had. My favorites? The oyster taco, the falafel taco and the rice bowls. All of them were delicious and it’s hard to go wrong. Unfortunately, one more disappointment on this visit. The chips were very stale. I mentioned that to the waiter, so hopefully they get some fresh ones next time. Overall, despite my amazing first impression at the other location, I was let down this time… but will give it another shot.

I made a terrible mistake in ordering only two tacos, I could have eaten this restaurant clean out of business. Surprisingly, for a Saturday night, we were able to get a table easily at a nice outdoor patio spot for a party of 6, win! I had the Duck Taco and the Pork Belly Taco, I wish I could tell you which was better, but you know the cliché old saying, that’d be like picking a favorite child. So I’m going to tell you just to order both of these. and then some. and then some more. We’re gunning for taco gluttony here. DEATHBYTACOS!

Came to Bartaco for drinks and dinner. We were seated in the back patio area, which is actually pretty cute. Decent service, good drinks, and good food here. Complimentary valet, too. Drinks: –Our server made sure to tell us that the cocktails take a little while to come out since apparently the bartenders put a lot of love into them. Lol. I didn’t mind at all, because they were good! –Bartaco Margarita($ 9.50) — I’m not even a huge fan of margaritas, but I felt like I couldn’t not order one at a mexican restaurant! I actually thought their version was pretty good. It’s made with Maestro Dobel Reposado, Luxardo Triple Sec, agave syrup, and lime juice. –Sashito($ 8) — Made with Campari, triple sec, watermelon, lemon juice, Angostura bitters. I really liked this cocktail too, and the watermelon made it unique. Food: –We ordered the large tray($ 38), plus a few tacos since we had 5 people to feed. It comes with the chef’s selection of tacos, tamales, and some sides. The pork belly taco was the best thing I tried out of everything. –It was my girlfriend’s birthday, so they brought her out a couple free churros with some chocolate dipping sauce. This was nice, but they were really bad. I had never had a churro I didn’t like until then. The chocolate sauce wasn’t even that great. Oh well, it was free! This was my first time coming here, and I liked it for the most part. If I come back, it will be for the yummy drinks and those delicious pork belly tacos!

After a Hop City tasting event at Octane, my bf and I felt hungry and stumbled upon bartaco! We sat outside to enjoy the warm weather. The place is very blue and white and we felt as if we had left Atlanta and stepped into a Caribbean island. We ordered: plantains — so good! so freshly fried, sweet, and with a unique spicy heat! pretty overpriced at 5 for $ 4 though. these were the tacos we got: baja fish — freshly fried. This was my favorite of all the tapas we ordered. fried oyster — freshly fried. very soft inside, as you would expect. pork belly — the pork tasted excellent but some vinegar-tasting sauce was added to it. would have been best without it duck — didn’t taste too duck-like but pleasant nonetheless. sesame ribeye — liked the addition of daikon. the sauce was very intensely flavored and was the only one to give a strong aftertaste. tasty, just a bit strong. We were given a coupon for a future take out order, yet the tacos here were a bit smaller than we would have liked, so we left feeling a bit unsatisfied for the price we were paying already. Food is tasty, but a bit out of value for us. We will stick with Taqueria del Sol for now. Our colorful-haired waitress gave us very good service. Bathrooms are clean too. A lot of date-like ambiance going on here too.

Parking: Valet and street parking, but I parked in the lot across the street where HopCity is. Environment: There’s indoor and outdoor seating and both are spacious. The decorations and server uniform(blue/white checkered button down + white pants) give it a sleek beach vibe. You can also sit and order at the bar. Service: You fill out what you want on a piece of paper and the waiter comes by to put your order in. There’s also a card that you can put up to flag your waiter down. The wait staff are all very friendly and helpful. Food: Each taco is either $ 2.5 or $ 3.5 +Pork belly taco — HOLY F THISISACTUALLYSOSOSOSOSOSOOGOOD. I wish I could have one everyday. +Baja fish taco — Lightly battered and fried fish taco that was very good and not heavy +Veracruz fish taco — Pretty tasty +Sesame ribeye taco — Pretty good but a little too salty imo +Duck taco — I found this one to be too saucy, but still good +Wild boar taco — Not a huge fan, kind of like a drier/gamier carnitas +Chips and salsa verde — HUGEFAN so good love love love +Grilled corn side — Comes either on or off the cob with lime, cayenne, and cotija cheese. I personally thought it was too cheesy. +Churros and chocolate sauce — REALLY delicious and not too sweet, especially with the dark chocolate sauce, though I thought the churros on their own were just as good. Drinks: +Port chester reviver — gin + mint + mango nectar + lime juice + long slice of cucumber. Tasty and light/refreshing +Breckenridge agave wheat beer — Liked it a lot! My only gripe is that the portions are a tad small, though they are tapas afterall. Definitely willing to come back many times!!!

Found this place on Unilocal and we were in town for the day so we checked it out. We were seated right away and the staff was pleasant. The service was great, informative but not overdoing it and not hovering. The food was pretty good. I had the chorizo taco and it wasn’t that great but everything else we had was delicious. Parking is a pain if you want to self park but they do have valet and it wasn’t a long wait for us(around 2PM on a Friday). Definitely check this out if you can.

The food and ambiance are great! Sure, it is a bit pricey. As with tapas, sometimes I forget and order too much food to fill myself up and get a shocker when the bill comes out. One time, I shared a small tray(lunch special) with a friend. Thanks to their error and giving us more tacos, I was full and thought the price to be reasonable. The tray came with the fish taco(my favorite for the perfect amount of crispiness), rib eye(wonderfully flavorful), and chicken(tender but not very flavorful). A few months later, I came back to find that the pork belly rice bowl is delicious. The bowl was generous with the amount of pork belly. The meat was glazed well and thin enough to appreciate the evenly distributed flavors. I’d say the meat is the star of this bowl and the brown rice, red and yellow bell peppers, and onion were the supporting cast. I thoroughly enjoyed that pork belly more than the single thick one in my taco. I had to squeeze some lime on that baby to give it more flavor. I wouldn’t get the pork belly taco again. However, the sesame rib eye is great and full of flavors! The mushroom mole tamale is filled with tender mushroom and flavorful stuffing. Quality ingredients! It tastes fresh and not dry. Guacamole was too sour. The chef disagreed but made a different batch which we declined and offered us salsa which we also declined. I got several glasses of piña colada a few months ago. I thought it was the best I’ve ever had. I like the dark cherry added as garnish. I ate that up. I love the décor. During a nice spring afternoon I felt like I was relaxing at a patio along the beach. This time there is plenty of shade in the patio. Service is good and quick for two people. Parking is difficult at lunch as most of the streets were already lined with cars. The parking structure mentioned parking for other restaurants but not this. We ended up using bartaco’s complimentary valet services.
