Batteries Plus Bulbs

The people at his place are so helpful. And they’ve had just about everything I’ve ever come in looking for.

Went in today to get the battery replaced on my watch. Very courteous service. Not only replaced the battery, setting the date and time, but also replaced a pin on the band that needed replacement. No extra charge. These guys are awesome.

I called this location to make sure they had my car battery in stock and I also asked if they charged for installation– the employee (woman) I talked with said there was no charge. One hour later I arrive and they say it’ll be an extra $ 30 for installation!
They insist I never asked, which I did– because being fairly handy, I would have brought my tools to switch out the batteries myself at the store (plus once I got back home, my wife said she heard me ask them on the phone before I left!). So being frugal, I attempted to remove my old battery myself (I always keep a few tools in my VW) which was I wasn’t able to do because of extreme oxidation on the battery terminals. Annoyed after working on it for 20 minutes on my own, right next to their front door, I had to go back inside the store and say I wanted them to install it in order for the other employee (man) to come out and help.
He came out and together we worked on it for another 20 minutes before we were able to remove my old battery, the new battery attached in a few seconds.
In the end, the employee who helped me install the battery didn’t charge me the $ 30 for installation which I absolutely appreciate (I assume he was a manager). Had he still charged me the fee, this would be a 1 star review, but he helped make it right, monetarily at least. I’m still only giving this store 2 stars though as the experience sucked and both employees were not friendly and never cracked a smile.
I’ll be heading to the Decatur location next time.

Be careful when you go in here, your head might explode

Finally, someone knows what they are talking about. Chris and Victor make this BPB store. I learned so much! And just installed my Duracell Procell LED lightbulb in my kitchen. I have tried so many bulbs to make my kitchen bright and nothing has worked. But, Chris to the rescue! I love it! And I even bought replacement bulbs for my make up mirror that were 2x the price online. My heros!

First review for the «New Year» is on a positive note.
I have come here a few times needing batteries for two different watches ($ 14.00 each), a car alarm ($ 10.00) and for a remote to an apartment I used to live down the street «so why did it take so long to write about it,» I thought I had.
A couple of days ago a neighbor let me know (while giving me a jump) that Batteries Plus also will check your car battery which was great as there seemed to be a problem starting the car. So tonight stopped by and sure enough it was the battery which was still under warranty at Pep Boys.
If you are in need of batteries of any kind, light bulbs maybe even a nifty led key chain this store has all of these things.

Glad to say that my experience in Batteries Plus this week was a great one.
Staffer Chris was professional and efficient in trading a dead battery under warranty for a new one with a nominal charge for price difference. I was in and out in very little time.
Though problems remain from my initial visit two years ago — this location has no bays and installations are still performed at the curb in the sun — staffing here has come a long way.

I purchases a battery here for my motorcycle and the battery continues to drain if motorcycle not ridden weekly. They say that’s normal. BS!

I have been to this Batteries Plus store twice for the plus, not the batteries, and each visit has been met with some great customer service.
Both times I visited was for vehicle light bulbs and they were great at helping me locate the correct bulbs for my car. The prices were just a tad higher than other chains, but the customer service and location to my house made up for that.
On my last visit I had just left the Toyota dealership that was changing my oil and they wanted over $ 50 to replace 3 bulbs that had burned out. After telling them where they could go I made a beeline to Batteries Plus where I found the bulbs I needed and walked out paying only $ 14. Sure I had to go through the painful task of changing my own bulbs. Ha!
I’ll be a loyal customer of Batteries Plus location for as long as they have such great customer service.

For the fourth time in six years, my car battery was dead. It seemed excessive, and considering the previous three batteries all came from Advanced Auto Parts (who were pushy and not good at the whole customer service bit), I was ready to call foul play. Enter Batteries Plus, who was closer and had my battery in stock plus a coupon for $ 10 off. They were going to charge $ 20 to install the battery, so my fiancé and I packed up our tools so we could do the work ourselves.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who quickly got us the battery. We’d even left our coupon printout at home but they allowed me to find it on my phone so we could still use it. My fiancé asked for a couple tips and the mechanic (I’m not sure what else to call him) was incredibly helpful and said to ask him questions before getting electrocuted. He came out to check on us a couple times and right at the end he came out and finished up the job for us free of charge. We’d missed the awkward lip attachment that a select few older Hyundais have because AAP sells an oversized battery that doesn’t need the lip. Turns out my alternator was fine and the culprit was probably an oversized battery that also jostled a couple other things in the car because it was too big to be secured.
Needless to say, I know where to go if something happens again. These guys did an impressive job, went above and beyond to be helpful, and sold the RIGHT battery for my car, size and all. Many thanks to the night crew here — you saved my day and made it so much better!
