They were out of Stella beer, ok no biggie, but after the family before us didn’t receive their entire order &30 min after we placed our order for 4 shrimp tacos no sides nothing else… WE had to approach the cashier to inquire where our food was. Only to have the manager approach us 5 minutes later with 2 of the 4 tacos we ordered. He apologized and admitted that the BONEHEADS in the kitchen ate our other 2 tacos because they couldn’t find the food ticket. He gave us a $ 10 coupon for a non-existent future visit, I guess to make up for our F $ 8.00 tacos?

What a lame experience. Here’s a shorthand version of my experience. — Ordered for myself and husband. When we ordered drinks, we were told the soda machine was down, but we’re welcome to ice tea. We agreed to purchase the teas, but then learned the ice machine was down. I would have not purchased drinks at all. — After ordering the food, I noticed the kitchen behind the counter was pitch black, but people were still in there. Omen? — We sat down outside next to a group of women. From what I could gather from their convo, they were experiencing bad service and a lengthy wait time. Another omen? — After watching a sweet manager offer said ladies discounts and food to go, they finally got their food. Then I realize that we still don’t have our food, or appetizer. It had been 15 mins. — 20 mins later, we get our burned appetizer. Obviously, it was rushed cook. Or was it burned because the kitchen was dark? — 25 mins later, my husband goes in to check on our orders. He comes out 5 mins later… with our food. The waitress handed him our plates, and proceeded to tell him«Be careful, they’re hot plates.» — The entire hour we were there at the restaurant, the entire patio’s collection of tables were covered in dirty plates left from patrons who had left — some before our arrival. Flies were having a field day. The food was mediocre, much like the service. All the patrons(from what I could gather) were have some sort of issue or problem. Much like all the other mediocre restaurants at Atlantic Station, this one has followed suit.

Not happy with our meal. The salmon and the chicken had way too much smoke flavor to them, to the point it was the only taste you experienced. Just a mess up on the cooking, has potential to be better

I came here before catching the movies on a Tuesday and it was Taco Tuesday! The prices are really good if your in the mood for tacos. I think you pay for what you get here, both the tacos were just alright, but for 5 dollars and a quick meal, it was good enough! The staff here was also friendly and it wasn’t packed when we were here(~5:30pm). Taco Tuesday Pricing: $ 2 — Fish and chicken(normally $ 2.99) $ 3 — Shrimp(normally $ 3.99)

Let me preface this with this… a couple in line ahead of me was receiving their money back after the wife took a couple bites of food and got sick. The manager was adamant on only giving her the money back for the shrimp that made her sick because she ate her side items. I don’t think that’s the best customer service. Anyways… I’ve had Boneheads before in Charlotte, NC and really enjoyed my food. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the Atlantic Station location. The special for the day was salmon with rice. I ordered the salmon for dine-in and got some lemon herb wings to go. It took more than 30 minutes to bring out my food. The salmon was incredibly dry. I’m guessing this is because they don’t cook the fish in the sauce you request but put it on the side. The wings were very small and had no flavor. The neon yellow sauce they were in stained my fingernails… not sure what that was about.

Its been an hour and a half waiting for tonight’s special(salmon with two sides and a drink) for my wife and mother, and no signs of it coming any time soon. At this point I don’t care if the food is good or not, the service is too slow to come eat here. Take your money anywhere else!

Excellent food, just the right portion size and very flavorful. Was a bit salty, but still very good.

Delicious! My family is out of town and decided to try something new. So glad we did; literally everything was delicious. The Moroccan rice with cranberries and almonds has the perfect amount of cinnamon and cumin — I need the recipe for myself. The grilled zucchini and sweet potatoes were gorgeous. Seriously, who knew zucchini could be given such a thick and meaty taste? Finally, we ordered fish and shrimp tacos and done salmon. Every bite was wonderful, just so flavorful, not dry, vegetables crisp, meat tender. The price for everything was reasonable too, about eleven bucks for fresh fish and two sides. Hee server was kind too. I hope we can cone back before we leave!

Nice food! Affordable, no big portion sizes and delicious. We took Crispy Calamari and Boneheads Shrimp meal and both were fresh and delicious. Sweet chili sauce and Grilled Zucchini were killers! I would come here again.

Tried this restaurant for the first time today. Small-ish place, good for lunch, counter order, then they bring it to your table. I ordered the taco special, with 2 shrimp tacos. It came with a choice of sides — I opted to play it safe with fries, although I was greatly tempted by the cilantro salad. The fries ended up being my favorite part of the meal. Well seasoned, and they worked well with malt vinegar. However, I was disappointed in the shrimp tacos. They shrimp were highly seasoned — that slow burn that doesn’t hit you until after you’ve swallowed your bite. I don’t mind spicy, but I wanted some creamy balance from the slaw. The slaw had little to no flavor, it was shredded cabbage with very very little sauce. Provided crunch, but not really any other benefit to the dish. One of the people that I ate with had fish and chips, which she said were very good, in spite of the fish looking for like chicken fingers than a fish fillet. The other had tilapia, which she said was average. Overall, it was average. I picked this place due to the ratings on Unilocal, and I’d rather have this than the Moes or California Pizza Kitchen next door, but I would choose someplace different next time if I had the option.

To be honest, I’m not a big fan of a lot of the restaurants in Atlantic Station. Sure a lot of them have nice décor, but good food is scarce. Boneheads is just the opposite of that. Although the environment is casual, the food is anything but casual. I had the Piri Mushroom Burger, which was good. However, the real star of the meal was the shrimp plate. It was a little heavy but the gravy was just too good. They also have a large selection of hot sauces, which is a big win in my book. Since I live so close to Atlantic station, I will be back and will have more updates to follow on some of their other grilled seafood items. Stay tuned.

Bonehead’s? Fire grilled? Sure, why not, I prefer grilled over fried any day, but what’s with the name Bonehead’s? Well, come to find out, the name is a reference to the vehicle accident that the owner’s got into… with each other. Two chef’s, who never met previously, used the term«Bonehead’s» to describe themselves when their path’s collided inadvertently. Get this, one chef was on the verge of opening a restaurant with a focus on grilled fish. The other was on the brink of introducing Atlanta to a pepper sauce that he perfected. Can you guess what happened next? Yep, a partnership developed immediately thereafter. I don’t go to Atlantic Station very often but when I do, it’s imperative that I eat there. There’s several spots to choose from, so I figured it’d be a good idea to just walk around and see OR smell what caught my attention. Enter Bonehead’s. Thankfully, they had a sign out front advertising the day’s special: Shrimp and Grits. Sold, where do I pay?! I don’t know about you, but there are just some southern dishes that I can never pass up and shrimp and grits is one of them. The decent sized dish was exactly what you’d expect, the shrimp was flavorful and the grits had the perfect amount of cheese, as well as butter. Also, the grits were neither runny, nor clumpy, it was just right. Whenever I’m enjoying my food, I ALWAYS give the head nod of satisfaction as I remove the spoon or fork from my mouth. That was definitely the case here, so I’ll be sure to walk by here first the next time I come to Atlantic Station.

Me and my girlfriend came for pride she order the fish and chips not realizing it was catfish, really didn’t want to swap it out but the manager made it so easy and even made a little joke about it. Love this place good food and good people I always come here when I’m in town.

Yummy with out guilt! I had the mahimahi entrée and I really couldn’t have asked for a better meal. It’s not the quickest service but they were very nice and the place was immaculate.

So far to a bad start, no silver ware, long wait for food even tho the place is not crowded. I used to come before and it was better than this, the let it go. Disappointing.

My family and I were looking around for a lunch place with healthy options. We are so happy we found this place. Lot of grilled entrees and sides to choose from. Everthing we tried was really tasty, the place is clean, decorations were modern, and the service was fast.
