This was the best brunch I have ever attended. The food was delicious! From the breakfast selection, to the lunch selection offered, chicken, greens, green beans, and mimosa was 5 star! The atmosphere was laid back and very in touch with the culture. Customer service was very good. Definitely a place I would recommend and return to when I come back to Atlanta!

Great place for twenty-somethings, with a little bit of an older crowd sprinkled in there. It is across from Mary Mac’s Tea Room, and there is one entrance/exit. INSIDE The inside is large, with reservable tables going around the outer wall, with a few tables on the inside floor close to the large bar. There’s a giant screen in that area as well, where I’ve seen them play sports games and music videos. There are the legendary swings around the large bar, fellas move around because it’s clearly somewhere to let the ladies sit, unless you are with your SO. Décor is very loungey, with a contemporary feel. Lots of hookah smoke so be ok with that! MUSIC Current Hip Hop and oldies! I have seen little to no dancing. FOOD I’ve had the wings as well as sliders and both were really good! It was dark both times so I’m not judging necessarily on presentation, pure taste! BOTTOMLINE I will continue to be a patron of Boogalou, an easy option to go hang out with friends or meet someone new, without the pressure of dressing too far up, but maintaining a solid level of dress code. Solid drinks around the same price you’ll find around ATL. $ 20 for men, free for women. In my experience Saturdays are better with more people in there.

I REALLY like this place. The swings for bar stools are so cool and create a nice ambiance.(Sidenote: Do not worry, unless you are about 3 – 400 lbs, they will hold you. I am not 300 lbs, but I have some size on me, so I sat down slowly to test it out lol.) The drinks were pretty good and ran for about $ 9 – 11 a pop. The crowd is nice, think young urban professionals. We went on a Friday night. There was a great DJ, there was no cover and parking was easy. I found a spot virtually caddycorner to the lounge. In the rear, there is another bar and a lounge area which is where my friends and I ultimately ended up. There are VIP tables back there, but there is also some couch seating just across from it that we were able to use. One thing that bothered me was the virtually nonexistent server sightings. This place serves hookah as well and it was a nightmare trying to find the hookah server for my friends to put in their orders. I wanted some food, but could never locate the«food waitress» to order anything. :sigh: Yet and still, I hear they do a pretty good brunch. Can’t wait to go back for that.

I have been here before on a weekend about 8 months ago and I must say what a totally different vibe! They have since expanded their building and I thoroughly enjoyed myself at their Tuesday nite happy hour. They had margaritas and martinis for $ 5 and let me tell you, my martini was mixed perfectly! I also had their shrimp tacos later in the evening, and those didn’t disappoint either. To top it off, their dj kept me dancing the entire time I was there! This was such a great visit and I do recommend visiting them on a week nite when it’s not as crowded.

Prices kinda high on the drinks and the swings make it impossible to reach the bar. Came in a somewhat busy Friday night and was not able to get a table because it was bottle service only. Yet there were many open tables. The establishment offers hookahs… But you have to get a table to get one.

I came here on a Saturday it with one of my girlfriends. We arrived around 11:30 which right in time it seems like things were just kicking off. We payed $ 20 to valet and waited about 5 minutes in line. We got inside and there was no cover for females, that’s always plus. We dance our buts off. IT was really a good time the DJ played a good mix of old school and new school. I only wished the he had played a little more reggae. I’d say this definitely a spot to go with your girlfriends and have a great time for sure.

Had my 23rd birthday here on January 16th. The valet was $ 15. A little pricy but worth it because there is no other trustworthy parking. Nice ambiance inside. Section was very close to others and difficult to maneuver in and out of but still decent. Good music, good drinks. Decent environment but could be more spacious! I enjoyed my birthday. Took them a while to get my reserved section cleared but it was ok!

So the swings at the bar are real cute, but the food is horrible, the crowd is clearly of a lower element as I just last night witnessed the most awful mismanagement of handling a man assaulting a woman ever. 1. The food. The bbq salmon is clearly a thin frozen dollar store filet coated in some type of dollar store barbecue sauce. You can legit taste the freezer burn and fakeness. 2. The crowd. I witnessed a man yell at a woman to get out of his bar seat while forcefully lifting her barstool only to see the woman removed and this idiot allowed to stay. Luckily upon removal she threw a drink in his face. If you’re into fake food, people with illusions of grandeur who are actually low class, and men who act like women on real housewives and an establishment that is ok with that type of behavior. Then this is the spot for you.

Thursday nights at Boogalou are amazing! I didn’t catch the DJs name but he played the best 90s music I’ve ever heard! He took me back forreal! This was my first visit & I will be back. The food was scrumptious! Mozzarella sticks were perfect. When are mozzarella sticks perfect? At Boogalou they are!!! We also had the Hawaiian shrimp wraps. These flavorful wraps were accompanied by the best homemade fries I’ve had in a while. I love this place & can’t wait to go for brunch one weekend!

Had a wonderful time on Tuesday night happy hour with $ 5 dollar drinks. great music and Karaōke. We had the best server. very attentive. Call ahead for dress code because no white tees were allowed and obviously you have to call ahead to reserve a table or youll be left waiting for a place at the bar. The sweet potato fries were delicious amd the flatbread was tasty… this place is a laid back spot perfect for a wind down.

The reviews about this place is spot on. The food looks good and is pretty tasty BUT the service is definitely lacking! We got seated and it took about 15 – 20 minutes for the waitress to come over and even offer us some water. Definitely get the buffet on Sunday’s; I just ordered an omelette and it took about an hour to receive it. When I finally did receive it, they gave me the wrong order. I asked for everything on it but tomatoes because I am allergic. I would have given this place 2 stars but maybe they were just having an off day. I’m not sure if I’ll be back.

Came on a rainy Wednesday night. Place had a good amount of people considering the rainy weather. Food: I had the chicken and waffles. Waffle was good, but I received 6 small, extra crispy chicken wings. The presentation looked bad, mediocre and I hardly enjoyed the meal. The ceiling was leaking over the table we were sitting at. This was annoying. Told the manager and he didn’t really have much to say. He said it was condensation from it being so hot earlier and cooling down after. Service: took about 15 minutes before a waiter came to our table. Received our food about 25 min after ordering. Atmosphere: this is the only reason I am giving this place a 3 stars. The DJ was great, played old school and current hip Hop/r&b. So if you aren’t really trying to have meal, I would suggest this place. The crowd looked about on their early 30s-40s. They have these swings you can sit on next to the bar. This was the coolest feature of the restaurant. Parking: the had valet parking for $ 10. I being the cheapskate I am, I parked on the street. Be prepared to look a while for parking however because I parked a lil bit from the lounge.

Great experience for brunch. The wait time to be seated was a little long, but I realized it was because the hostess had the job of seating parties, as well as bussing tables. There is a variety of food that is not typically seen. The philly cheese steak pasta was a hit for me. The buffet included: salad, fried tilapia, ribs, fried chicken, French toast, pancakes, waffles, omelettes, home fries, eggplant Parmesan and jerk chicken rice. Let’s not forget the bottomless mimosas :) that were served in strawberry, pineapple, and of course orange. I would most definitely come back for brunch on a Sunday. I’ve also been here on a Tuesday night and the atmosphere was surprisingly great. Played up-to-date hip hip music and wasn’t too crowded.

This a great up beat, youthful spot. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars and not five is due to the size. The food is great, the service is out standing and the drinks are on point. They service a Sunday brunch from 11:30am to 3:00pm that is very popular ! Seating is limited so get there early. It’s best to arrive before noon are expect to wait at least an hour. If you have a large party its best to be there when they open to get a table. I’ve never been during the week but I’ve head its jumping.

This place has SO much potential. Great atmosphere. Swings at the bar. Options of alcohol and hookah selection. Theres also a plethora of people clearly out to simply have a GOOD time. But the service is COMPLETELYLACKING. Now I have the good sense the Lord gave me and can tell the house was Packed and demand was at an all time HIGH especially since the FINALS were showing, hell I was there to watch the game too! But obviously, and quite frankly, if I know the club will be ACTIVE when a game is on, surely management does too, no? Anyway, the mere fact that we asked FIVE different people for new coals for thr HOOKAH and STILL had to wait over FORTYMINUTES to be serviced is quite frankly LAUGHABLE. Each time staff CLAIMED it would be handled and was on the way. Meanwhile I listened as More and more ppl complained of the same. Don’t ask customers to pay full price for a product you cannot properly provide. Seriously. If you only have staffing to provide partial services, start charging partial PRICES. UNACCEPTABLE. Im making an edit to my review because we were given a free refill at the end of the night and received an applogy which shows they do care to make amends when customers express dissatisfaction. Hopefully management does a better job at being proactive so that situations like this don’t recur.

Have you been looking to release your inner ratchet? Need a place to expose your inner gangster? Well this is the place for you! I visited Boogalou this past Saturday night with a group of girlfriends. I follow the place on social media and thought for sure this was a more upscale hip hop establishment. Apparently I had not looked at the Unilocal reviews(Shame on me!) We parked in valet($ 15 which was quick and easy). There was no cover for us to enter the establishment which is why they got 2 stars instead of 1. Upon entering, we immediately noticed there was no place to sit down. The architecture was very nice. There were swings placed around the bar which is very cool however it is not practical. It was nearly impossible to squeeze between the swings to order drinks! I had to get so close to the«swing thots» that it made it very uncomfortable.(If you are not sure what a THOT is please research it in the urban dictionary) When we finally did order drinks, our bartender was quick and made the drinks strong. The music(hip hop) was very good(hence the place to release your inner ratchet). However, there was no room to dance. The place was way too packed to walk around let alone bust a move on the dance floor. Overall, I probably will not come back at night. I have read they have a good brunch and I would be willing to come back to try the brunch.

Myself and a friend came to the Sunday brunch offered at Boogaloo and had heard many great things about the place. It was very easy to locate and we were able to find parking very easily on the side of the building. They offer valet but I’m not for sure what the rates are. The décor: Upon entering, you are greeted by the hostess and get to see the how open and how chic the décor is. I was made sure not to sit in the swings tho, Im sure they’re sturdy but I didn’t wanna take a chance. Lol. The buffet: The $ 25 buffet offered an array of items that all were pretty tasty. Most of their selection is on the buffet line, but you can get dishes such as French toast(yummy!!) or omelets as well. We also got the bottomless mimosas which were $ 15 and they were decent. Overall: It was a good atmosphere and the set up of the buffet was good. My main issue is with the wait for the made to order items and mimosas. Our wait was was awesome so I didn’t ding her for what was going on in the kitchen, but it seems that perhaps they could hire more help to alleviate that. If I’m in the area, I’d check it out again.

Okay so this review was kind of late but I’m going to do it anyway. I went here over the weekend and it was either a Friday or Saturday, I can’t remember. All I know is that I had a good time and the DJ play good music. parking is very tight but inexpensive as well. It was only five dollars. It didn’t take that long to get into the bar. I would say took maybe five minutes at most. The cover for the door was $ 20 which is typical in Atlanta. Some people were dressed to impress and others were not. LOL One of the only drawback is that I noticed was that the bathrooms had amusement park lines! If you’re the type they can’t hold your liquor, it’s all bad! Drink with moderation! Because when the time comes, you won’t be able to get into the bathroom fast enough! All in all it was a really chill experience. There were no fights or ignorant behavior happening in the room. Everyone seem to just want to have a good time and that’s all that matters. ;)

Boogalou is a great little spot that’s new to the city and it very cute inside. The swings definitely add a nice touch to the establishment. I was here opening night and I’ve also been here for the shot/drink specials on Tuesday with the $ 8 crab leg clusters with potatoes and corn. I didn’t eat crabs this Tuesday but I will be back for them. I got the $ 0.50 boneless wings and they’re DELISH! Be aware of the tequila shots. They sneak up on you!
