Visited: 01/16/2016 Charming and organic food that I enjoyed. Only reason I’m giving this place 3 stars… their biscuit! Whoa! Deliciousness! I’m telling you guys, the light, fluffy, perfect amount of ingredients to concoct the biscuit is what made it so delightful to eat my Breakfast Sandwich. On the downside, the cost of the food with the amount of food given was not what expected. It honestly wasn’t filling enough for a meal. Odd situation that happened(I have a witness :)): I was waiting for my food. A woman called out: Breakfast sandwich. I said, oh, that’s the breakfast sandwich. She said yes. I took it, put a fork in it. Once I sat down and was about to take a bite, another woman literally took the plate in front of me and said, «This isn’t yours.» She then proceeded to put down what I had originally ordered. I was taken aback because it was all very abrupt, no apology, and she left and continued to serve the next person. I understand situation happen, but before you take a plate that is right in front of me(since she had to lean over to get it), you should first say excuse me, and explain to me why you need to take the plate away. Therefore, I found the abrupt grab and go a bit… rude :/ Thus, why I say, the biscuit is what saved this whole dining experience: D

This place is absolutely adorable. The building, the swing out front, the cute inside décor. It feels like such a cozy little café. I had the salad with lemon dressing, mixed fruit bowl, and a coffee. A lovely light lunch. Seems like a lot of lunch meetings, people catching up on work, and friends meeting up for a meal. Perfect environment for any of those. Careful of parking, it’s very limited, we ended up parking down the street in another restaurants lot.

Most amazing biscuits on Earth. I was on vacation and wish I could have brought some home. Everything is great!

The food is good, it’s true– but it’s way overpriced. The magical attic is a cool idea but they take themselves waaaaaay too seriously. They will pester you to pay up for a psychic reading and you can’t have your phone out apparently(didn’t know that because there is no sign) and the lady at the desk snapped at me for having it out and sent me back downstairs. Wtf. Every experience I have ever had there has been tainted by some rudeness from a pampered old Buckhead Betty. They all come there to brunch. Don’t go here it’s so overrated.

Came here for Sunday brunch around 10:30 a.m. and was pleasantly surprised that it was not busy. However, it did fill up rather quickly around 11:00. The décor at Café Jonah is eclectic but homey. The food is pre-prepared so everything is self-serve. My tummy was happy with the variety of healthy food. We had two vegetarians in our party and everyone was satisfied. This Sunday, the food included a fruit salad, tomato and cucumber barley salad, mini sweet potato biscuits w/goat cheese, baked French toast casserole, cheesy grits, steel-cut oatmeal, vegetable frittata, eggs w/bacon, melon wrapped in prosciutto, pastries… convinced to try it out yet? :) Yum, yum, yum.

Im so glad we decided to try their Sunday Brunch! The location is beyond cute, the food was amazing, and the entire staff was so nice. They had a lot of great healthy options, but also some options if you’re looking to indulge. We will definitely go back the next time we’re in Atlanta.

Café Jonah is number 2 on the 15 Essential Coffeeshops list from Eater Atlanta. I don’t drink coffee, so I can’t really speak to the quality of the coffee, but it feels more like a food spot than a coffeeshop. Everything I ordered was pretty good, however I think it was a little pricey for what I got. I had chicken pot pie, spicy chicken salad, and some fruit and it was $ 16. The food was delicious, but the portions are small.

Came here for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and to our surprise it was not busy at all. It was my first time here and basically you order at the counter and they have fresh fruit, pre-made sandwiches, quiches, etc. Everything is self-service, they have a room next to where you order to get your water, drinks, utensils, napkins, condiments. I had a breakfast sandwich consisting of eggs and bacon on a biscuit with a cup of mixed berries. The sandwich was very good, everything was made to order so the eggs ere cooked perfectly and the bacon was delicious — very thick pieces which made me very happy. The berries were super tart so didn’t enjoy that. They also put 2 slices of tomatoes and some mixed greens on the plate which I enjoyed eating with my sandwich. My total came out to $ 11 which is high for a breakfast biscuit and some fruit, but the cottage itself is very quaint and cute and fresh flowers on the table made me smile. Upstairs is the«magical attic» where they have palm readers and have spiritual type books, incense, and other random things for sale. You can get a psychic reading for $ 30 i believe. I’ve heard a lot about the Sunday brunch so would like to come back for that.

Exterior is very cute and inviting, but aside from that it didn’t really make an impression. The concept is similar to its sister company, Souper Jenny. Walk in and grab healthy already prepped food, but more concentrated on brunch food. It does offer more of an on the spot order/warm dishes, but all the food were very light, bland, and unfilling that my friends and I were pretty hungry after couple of hours. Do check out the magical attic for your palm reading. 15 minutes for $ 30 or $ 40, I believe. I was almost curious enough to get mine read =)

I had the vegetarian frittata, the fruit salad with Greek yogurt on top, and one of their signature juices. It is a little bit more expensive, with the juice being freshly made, but I feel it is priced appropriately.($ 20 with tip.) The juice I got is called Superfuel. It has watermelon, pineapple, lemon, and orange… Yum! The food was incredible. My tummy really is happy and my spirits are really elevated. I live nearby and have needed a local spot for breakfast. I will be coming back, again and again.

Café Jonah not only provides healthy and hearty dishes, but also is picture perfect. Also, going there at the end of June, the tree in front of it is blossoming with pink flowers. I only wish it could be a coffee house, so that I could stay forever. Why do I wait until today to visit this place?! I’m so satisfied with them, that I almost decide to become a regular. $ 20 for a Sunday brunch, pricey? Yes, but considering you get to taste all their dishes, it’s well worth it. I love their salads. Typically, I’m a carnivore, and don’t care about salads much. But they mixed grains, veggies and sometimes fruit so well, I couldn’t stop eating their salads. There were also grits, oats, panini and more. I was fully blown out by salads, and didn’t get to try a lot of them. Free counter culture coffee, iced tea and water come with the buffet. Compared to Nori Nori, Café Jonah offers healthy options with half of the price. I am setting Café Jonah’s buffet as my favourite buffet place in Atlanta in my mental note.

One of my fave places for healthy food in a cute environment… I love their unique take on foods like quinoa and quiche. They use organic ingredients in many of their entrees and sides. So it’s good that I can dig into my meals here and not feel guilty afterwards. The menu changes so you can have a different experience every time you visit. Most recently I had a turkey panini on whole wheat bread. I also ordered a strawberry and snow pea salad served with feta cheese and balsamic vinaigrette. Both were very delicious, and I enjoyed them even more while sitting outside the cute house that serves as the restaurant. I have yet to check out the Sunday buffet, but for $ 20 I’m so there one of these days!

I’ve actually never been here for brunch, but hear great things about it! My experience has been during the week… I have breakfast meetings here nearly once a month lately and love it every time! Café Jonah is magical indeed. Feels like you’re walking into an adorable storybook cottage, with an attic bookstore/aromatherapy room and tasty food. Oh nostalgia… keeps me young at heart :-). In order to find parking, I usually try to arrive around 8:30. FYI, a parking attendant typically arrives later in the morning to help direct traffic and make space in the small lot. The weekly crowd hits around 9:00/9:30-ish, so my colleagues and I like to find a table first(the back room is more private, but the patio is nice in the morning). Once we’ve ensured we actually have somewhere to sit(Café Jonah’s not a huge place and people tend to linger), then we go to the counter to order and pay for our food. The menu isn’t overly extensive and my «go to» breakfast meal is the Vegetable Frittata, with a side of tomato sauce. Also, I like their collection of teas, which are encased in glass jars near the colorful mugs(choose your own) and you’ll find your hot water by the front door. WiFi works well and it definitely beats sitting in the office, yeah. Lastly, please be prepared to bus your own table, OK… them’s the rules! I haven’t personally tried it, but my colleague had a psychic reading and gave me a tip for removing negative energy in all areas of my life! Now, how’s that for a Power Breakfast!!! Happy Eating.

Absolutely LOVE this place. I’ve only ever been for the Sunday buffet, but it’s worth it. $ 20 for delicious, fresh, local, homemade dishes. I’ve raved enough that my friends have all tried it and everyone is in agreement. Highly recommended. The last few times I’ve been, there has been fresh salmon, salads, prosciutto wrapped asparagus and the cheesy grits are to die for. Hands down my favorite Sunday brunch place in Atlanta. No alcohol though, so don’t come here for Sunday Funday.

Strange place but pretty good. Walking into a home with rooms and halls all over the place to eat is a bit weird, but the place does have character! And the actual attic is a secret little staircase leading to your few minutes for a psychic reading. Kinda fun. Awesome menu items, although smaller portions, I love that they offer wholesome, healthy foods, made right there in the kitchen. The baked goods looked and smelled amazing, along with the steel cut oatmeal, steaming from the giant pot. The toppings you can pick from made my mouth water — goji berries, flax and chia seeds, cinnamon. Yum! I ordered the veggie frittata with a side of smoke salmon– it was good but I was left hungry with the lack of volume I received. Would love to come back for a Sunday Brunch… if I’m ever back in Atlanta.

If you like small portions with a big price tag and hippy vibe, Café Jonah and the Magical Attic is your place! This place is decent and has a different vibe than your average breakfast place. Some delicious-sounding menu items like smoked salmon and green juice. The service is friendly and there is seating in a bunch of different and unique rooms. Plating of the food is also attractive. However they have a limited menu, limited parking, and used a microwave to reheat eggs. The green juice is delicious but also $ 8 for a small bottle.

Imagine going to a family dinner and everyone playing a scavenger hunt for a table. It looks like a small cottage house and you have to look through hallways to see where all the space is. I like the ethics of this place and I have come here for Sunday Brunch and the buffet is so delicious! They donate 10% of your payment to any charity you choose. But I advise coming before 11am because it gets packed!

I’m torn between three and four stars. The food is tasty, the chocolate pecan chip cookie delicious and the place itself is adorable. Like, so charming. But the parking is terrible. When you come here you need to assume that you’re spending x money on your food + $ 2 for parking. Because their lot is ridiculously small. There is a parking lot in the back too but reviews say that it is small so I avoided that situation. The food options are fairly limited. There are a few salads, two different chicken salads, a frittata option(pieces looked smallish) and a few sandwiches. Oddly enough despite being owned by Souper Jenny there are no soups. You would think there would be at least one? So if you want soup do not come here. There’s also coffee which was good but pricey for a cup at $ 2.25. I mean that’s not the most expensive cup of coffee ever but it is more than actually going to Dancing Goats or something. Everything is a la carte. So no price breaks if you pair anything together. This makes lunch a little bit expensive since I’m not sure a salad by itself is filling enough. All the salads(including chicken) are $ 5. I had the spicy chicken salad and a power salad(lettuce, mushroom, pumpkin seeds, etc). It was very tasty and fresh. The spicy chicken salad actually is spicy, you’ve been warned. I’m a little bummed because I could see me coming here regularly but for the parking and limited options. Definitely worth checking out though!

Love love love! Hidden gem in Buckhead Paces Ferry area. The café is housed in an old cottage with several ‘dining rooms’ some with comfy chairs, colorful artwork and quirky knick knacks. There is outdoor seating on the back patio as well as out front. The food is pretty healthy and fresh. Last time I went my friend and I split a kale salad, chicken salad(made with greek yogurt instead of mayo) and cinnamon mashed bananas. All of the dishes are $ 5 a serving. Free wifi and awesome friendly service!

This place is totally cute… if you have kids, a high disposable income and are over 45. I wanted to love this place. Choosing your own mug, picking where to sit, a tiny attic… the idea is effing adorable but I wasn’t blown away by anything here to justify the prices. I will probably be back but I will leave the boyfriend at home and bring my mom.
