The owner/waiters are arrogant, the food is unremarkable. They have an excellent take out(casserole) menu, but don’t expect it to be ready(or hot) when you go to pick it up. BIG disappointment. BTW, they don’t bother to answer the phone.

So with my girlfriend we decided to come check out this place. I’ve heard good things about it, unfortunately that was not my experience. First let me state that there is a minimum level of service that should be provided, hot food hot and cold food cold. I am a bartender and trainer, I know and understand the struggles of a server and I am not one to rant. In this case it seems necessary. I ordered the cheese and mushroom omelette, what I received was an omelette with mushroom cheese and onions. I was told later that they were not onions they were leeks, if this is the case it would have been good to know prior to ordering, they add items that are not listed on the menu descriptions… what if I had an allergy! In addition the hash browns came out cold. I told the server immediately so they could fix it, after 15 minutes the server asked me if I still wanted it because they had not started preparing yet. That is terrible guest recovery further more I sat with an empty coffee cup for ten minutes. My girlfriends dish was much better she had the egg croissant, a side of French toast that was incredible. Sad to say her hash brown were also cold. I requested a manager which never came, they took care of the whole bill instead. Which was never my intention, I merely wanted what I previously requested. In my eyes they failed to capitalize on an opportunity and turn around my experience. The place was quite busy and maybe there short staffed the croissant was outstanding so I may give this place another try. But for now I give two stars.

It has been a long time since I had such a negative experience in a restaurant. I took my wife and my 96-year-old mother to this place today for Sunday lunch. We ordered coffees and three dishes. After about five minutes the coffees came. The folks around us were served, ate, and after half an hour or so began leaving. When we had been there 45 minutes, and no one had refilled our coffee, or brought us the food we had ordered we went up and found our waiter and asked him if we could get refills. After a few minutes he brought us more coffee. Didn’t say anything about the food. After a little longer my wife went up and asked him when he thought we might be getting our dishes? About five minutes later he came to the table and told us he was sorry but they had lost our order and would start cooking it now. Unfortunately we already waited an hour, and had someone we had to pick up at the airport. So we paid for our three coffees and left, with a 96-year-old still unfed and now our happy leisurely Sunday not so much fun anymore. I really want to like this place. We live just a few blocks away, and it seems to be run by a family not a chain. But I think I’ll have a hard time getting either my wife or my mother to go back there with me.

I got an omelette with herbs and hash browns. I always like to do the simple dishes at restaurants to see how well they do basics. This dish was so delicious I was barely talking to the person eating with me. Divine I tell you! Loved all the rabbit décor as well.

If you come here please do get the Shrimp Salad and Corn Meldly with their Crossiants. Crossiants are extra flakely and huge. The shrimp salad has huge chunks of Shrimp in it and very little mayo. Good healthy and light french café

if I could give a ZERO I would. We(2 people) ordered a simple breakfast. we sat there for 45 minutes, no one came to our table to check on us. we ran out of beverages multiple times. Was finally told our order slip was«lost». An hour later our eggs come out, yeah eggs. I was actually looking forward to this place, now I never want to see this place again. Good luck if ya go.

Finally decided to give this a try after walking by countless times. I didn’t enjoy my lunch experience here. Ordered a mushroom quiche with a side salad. Husband ordered a pimento grilled cheese and didn’t like it. It was watery and runny. The quiche was the opposite and super dry and lacked any flavor at all. Service was rushed and rude.

Café Lapin is a nice French bistro in Buck Head. The food has always been very good at each visit whether we get fish, meatloaf, pork, or duck. Everything we have had has been fresh and well prepared. The real gem in my opinion are the cakes for dessert. Their carrot cake is the best I have had since moving to Georgia from Texas a year ago. We get it every time we come here. Many folks also say the coconut cake is wonderful. They usually have 5 or 6 different types each evening. The only thing I will say is, don’t come here if in a hurry. This is a very laid back place and they do not bring out the food quickly. This is a place to sit a while visit with friends or family, and eat and drink like folks do in Europe. The service is very friendly and attentive while you wait. Also, once a month they have live jazz, which is a nice touch. The music was quite good when we caught it a couple months back.

I went here for breakfast this morning and walked into this restaurant, which is located in a nice strip mall location. It is very quaint inside and I was greeted and seated immediately. The staff, I found slightly aloof and not very friendly. I ordered a coffee and the mushroom quiche, they came back a few minutes later to let me know they were out of it. I was a bit disturbed by this, as it was their only quiche without meat and it is a french bakery, they should of had it or another veggie option. I ordered the ham and asparagus quiche, the portion was quite small for $ 10 and the fruit it came with was ok, not the freshest selection. I had to hunt down my waiter for more coffee and the bill. The food was just ok, the service was less than ok, I would not come back here overall.

Not much to say here. Felt this place was overpriced and overrated. I came on a Sunday morning for breakfast. I got the Omelette Lapin and ordered a coffee. Service wasn’t very friendly or attentive. It was hard to get hold of our server and we had to signal several times to get someone’s attention(when we were ready to order for a while/for getting our check) Omelette was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Coffee was okay. Maybe I just came on a bad day/time, but would not go out of my way to come here again.

I’ve only just discovered this restaurant and have been twice in the last week. If you want delicious food, great service in a quiet environment where you can actually have a conversation with friends w/o yelling, this is your place. You’d never know it as its tucked into Peachtree Battle Shopping Center. Would never expect this experience in a shopping center. Soups — I’ve had both french onion and cream of mushroom. Both were excellent. The cream of mushroom was a little too rich for me but it was so yummy. Walnut chicken salad is delish. Not too much mayo and mostly all white meat chicken served wtih mixed greens and balsamic. Today I tried the beets and mandarin oranges. Interesting combo and it was great but I wish the oranges had been fresh. Not sure they were. The service is friendly, attentive — excellent. The desserts LOOK outstanding. All made in house. Leaving that for another visit.

Excellent French food, amazing coffee, and heavenly desserts. Food so good, you may faint. I would give it 5 stars but the lighting is a bit too dim inside. Oh, and the service is top-notch.

The food was excellent, however, the service was horrible. I couldn’t believe it, but the servers were gossiping about their customers at full volume! The ambiance was also sub-par.

Really good food and dessert from this little French restaurant in Peachtree Battle Shopping Center. It was breakfast so we had the basics yet they were still yummy. Great atmosphere. I will be back to dine again.

Variety of different foods is minimal. Mostly soup and salad. That said, I was moderately impressed by the different kinds of chicken salad offered. I tried the jalapeño one. It was a dollar extra if I wanted a croissant sandwich. The croissant looked perfect and fluffy and was crispy on the outside. The jalapeño was not too obvious and the chicken salad did not taste unique. I added another extra dollar to substitute a cup of soup for the side. Ever since trying the gazpacho at Hungry Peach, I have been on the look out for such perfection again. The«gazpacho» here looked like tomato bisque soup because of its thickness and creaminess. So I was surprised to find it cold(since I thought there was a mistake and my cold gazpacho was replaced with hot tomato bisque) and even a bit sweet. It was interesting to try but I would not repeat this soup order again. Ambiance inside is cute. There are some outdoor seating areas looking out at the parking lot. A nice change of pace for a quick lunch.

Café Lapin is located in the center of the Peachtree Battle Shopping Center amid other restaurants and shops, so I had always overlooked it in the past. My friend claims they have one of the best burgers in town, so of course I had to come in and give it a try Most of the servers are French and have a delightful accent(I guess we should never tell them that, the French hate Americans enough as it is). My friend was telling me that it’s a small family owned restaurant so most of the servers, chefs and It was super busy on a Sunday early afternoon. We waited for the slightly frazzled host to come seat is. Oddly, he was also the bus boy so he was covering for someone(or the host position had an updated job description). We were seated shortly after the host noted that we were waiting for a table for 2. We ordered two dishes to split and share. I ordered the Café Lapin Burger(which comes with a side of fries) and my friend ordered the Tarragon Chicken Salad with a side of Mixed Greens($ 1.50 more). On a whim, I decided to order a cup of coffee and a chocolate croissant. The chocolate croissant was flaky and perfect. Slightly warm and crunched beautifully under my fork and knife. Not as much chocolate as I would have hoped but just enough to be, well, perfect. The coffee was meh, and expensive, too(it’s refillable but I never got a refill, which made that cup of coffee very expensive). The burger was ok. Meat was mostly juicy, although some parts of the thick patty were a little dry. Not the medium rare I ordered. My friend said usually the meat is better seasoned; the seasoning seemed to be lacking in the meat. Otherwise the burger had a lot of potential. The chicken salad was HEAVENLY. I loved the flavors and consistency, which went well with the mixed greens. However, the provided vinaigrette wasn’t so good, so we set that aside.-1– Overall, the meal was slightly above average, but nothing to rave about. My friend claimed that the food could get better, but since it was so busy it didn’t look like the food was taken the time to prepare. I will have to come again next time, preferably on a weekday.

We stopped in for dinner recently and absolutely loved Café Lapin. I really didn’t have high expectations for a French Restaurant in a shopping center, but I was really impressed. The space is pretty nice and rustic. The service was good as well and we were seated right away. I gather it gets a little busier for brunch, but it was pretty slow for a weeknight dinner and we really enjoyed that. The complementary bread was really good and we didn’t try any of the appetizers although they all sounded great. I had the scallops with a wine braised risotto and leeks and it was amazing. The scallops were cooked and seasoned perfectly, the reduction of wine in the risotto was perfect, and the leeks were delicious. The sauce for my dish was really good too. My wife ordered the meat loaf which I believe is a staple here and she loved it. It was wrapped in bacon with a tomato glaze and came with whipped potatoes with thyme, roasted carrots, and Brussels. Everything was cooked perfectly on her dish as well. I believe the dinner menu is constantly rotating so I am excited to come back and try more entrees. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert but the pies and cookies looked amazing sitting by the kitchen. I can’t wait to come and try Café Lapin for brunch and will definitely be back for dinner soon.

Went here for breakfast so this review is for that. Pros: — Omelette Lapin was amazing. It wasn’t as fluffy as I’d expect from a french restaurant, then again, I don’t know how fluffy it could be with huge chunks of ham in it weighing it down. — Their salad is really fresh and made with baby greens, I love those — The coffee(latte) was quite good and very strong. — They have daily specials, so you get a solid menu with the added«excitement» of new entrees(don’t know how often they change them as I have only been once) — The décor is so stinkin’ cute! I mean the bunnies in the balloon in the middle of the restaurant! Adorable! — Overall the food looked and tasted fresh — Grits were good, amazing if you consider it’s a french place. Cons: — They use pretty generic tasting dressing for their salad. It doesn’t seem made in house. A vinaigrette is so simple to make it’s kind of unacceptable. — Croissant was kind of crap, just a step above costco croissants. At a «French» place, I kind of expect more attention paid to a croissant. These seem purchased from sysco.

First time here! Delicious shrimp salad! Served with a dish of fresh beets & oranges and a green salad. Delightful! I’ll be back!
