Checkers Drive-In Restaurant

They are terrible lol. I live next door and I walked over to the checkers last night (my first visit since I’ve been living over there). It took them 6 mins to acknowledge me & then the manager was talking to Me thru a CLOSED WINDOW that they would take my order in a sec. That was another 6mins. I watched them switch out registers which is fine but no one ever came back to the window lol ALL I WANTED WAS FRIES. SHEESH. My money was no good over there. I was not about to patronize them after that. Bad customer service.

Recently acquired a boy toy in this area and for whatever reason, he likes Checkers, so while I’ve driven past the location at least twenty times, I didn’t even realize it was there until once night about 2am he decided he wanted a fish sandwich from Checkers.
For a 2am visit, the service was quick and I’m not quite sure if they prepare the food as it is ordered at that time of the morning, but everything was super hot and fresh.
The drive thru lady laughed at me cause I told her to make sure the food was right and that we had the right condiments because if anything was wrong, I’d surely be the one that had to come back and get it corrected. She says she hears that a lot.
One night we went to get food and I asked her about some special they offer and I don’t know if she didn’t hear me or was just trying to up-​sell me on additional items but by the time I got to the window she realized what I was asking her for and had adjusted my total.
The value menu will get you sufficently full after a night of clubbing, partying or staying up all night with your boy toy

Its ok. The staff is misleading, we asked about a special we saw on the tv MULTIPLE times and they acted like they never heard of it, so we ordered at regular price. A week or so later the special was posted on there sign. Chicken poppers were dry and grainy. Other than that the foods standard checkers, good fries and meh burgers.

I’ve always liked checkers food especially the french fries which they are widely known for. I know what what your thinking… what could be so special about a Checkers that I’d have to Unilocal it right? Well I’m always going to the Checkers located on Old National Highway and when I say not only do I receive semi cold food, I don’t even get what I would consider a sizable portion that should be given when you order a large value meal and don’t give me that the fries settle mess.
But when I did attend the Checkers located on Riverdale Rd on the corner of Norman Blvd right across from the Quik Trip, not only was service fast for a Saturday Night at about 2am the food was hot. No the food scorching. I could barely hold the fries in my hand which was to me good. Especially since I planned on eating them at home and by the time I got home they were warm enough to my desire. Something as simple as hot food made a big difference in this trip to checkers and of course I will be going back to this location which is a little father but definitely worth it. This was what I would consider fast food and fast service with quality results. My order was together and they included the basics like ketchup and BBQ sauce for my chicken bites without me asking. Which was another great assumption cause I did want some sauce with them. That is what I call thinking above and beyond the customer.
Plus everybody loves Checkers fries and food but hey its even better when they are hot!
