arooba yarooba! all hail Coast SeaFood and Raw Bar. Let me be the first to say, I hit this place raw. the clan gathered here in celebration of our grand centard Elon. my one complaint is that my wife, Penelope, who had the Oysters and Red Grouper, tasted quite fishy once we got back home to the bedroom! LOL!!!1! still ate her raw tho! that’s what good husbands do! she was well pleased after our night at Coast Seafood and Raw Bar.

Ok food was excellent. I came for the special which is $ 6 for a dozen oysters on Wednesdays(Heaven for us oyster eaters). My boyfriend had a bowl of gumbo and the strip steak with fries and he said it was excellent. I ordered the Georgia Peach cocktail and it was DELICIOUS. Babe had a German beer that the bartender suggested and he loved it. Service was great, loved the setup of the place. It’s very nautical and made like a large beach house. Of course we wanted to sit outside because it felt great and they had live music but it was a 45 minute wait(not surprised lol). So we opt to sit in the area by the bar. Parking is valet, just tip. Overall, I can see myself visiting once a week from now on! Great place!

I read the reviews on Unilocal before I went there this past weekend, a lot of the reviews said crab legs all you can eat $ 25. when we got there the waitress was extremely rude, we asked about the crab leg special we saw online and she said«that was five years ago i wish people would stop asking for that.» I explained we saw it on Unilocal and thats why we asked and she said” i think people just hear whatever they want to hear”. She never refilled the glasses, we had to get our own ketchup because she disappeared. the food wasn’t that great either.

Came here with my family on a Sunday at 6:30pm, and it was pretty empty. The hostess directed us toward a bar height table with stools. I know my parents who are in their 60s would want a regular table with chairs that have a back, so I requested a regular height table. The hostess said that the only two tables that fit our party of 5 was reserved… I guess it didn’t occur to her to push 2 four tops together. After being seated for about 20 minutes we had to find a waitress to take our order. Our waitress was really nice and apologized for making us wait. Our family ordered the raw gulf oysters, shrimp bisque, seafood gumbo, grilled Jumbo shrimp, crab cake & Shrimp Scampi, and 2 more I can’t remember. I was really disappointed with everything. I found myself thinking Publixs’ shrimp bisque is better than this… and $ 17 for my 8 grilled shrimp and a side looked so sad. Too expensive for low quality food I can cook better at home. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant and will most likely never come again.

I’ve been here twice and it has be GREAT both times! Staff is so attentive and friendly. We had Todd tonight and he was perfect. Couldn’t decide between two desserts so the GM comped us both! Beautiful atmosphere on the porch with live music. Will definitely continue coming back here.

We went on a Friday night around 7:30 or so. We had reservations and sat outside which was lovely. They had an entertainer singing and playing a guitar which was cool. Here’s what we had. Alligator bites — awesome Hush puppies — awesome Seafood platter — awesome Cedar baked Salmon — yummy The collard greens were pretty darn tasty. The waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed maybe but other than that everything was great!

Let me start by saying«April killed it!» Service was great! Of course it was Saturday and they had just opened, but we were pleased with April’s ability to make us feel like we were regulars. The experience was great from start to finish. The Gentleman at valet introduced himself which was a nice move. We were late for our reservation but it really wasn’t crowded so we were seated immediately. April gave great drink recommendations and we were off! I read just so-so reviews of the Mac and cheese so I was cautious, but it was great. Shrimp and grits? Yes! The scallops were tender and flavorful. I will return to try more of the menu and experience some of the after hour mania.

We came here on a Saturday night without reservations. Luckily, we were able to grab a table that had just opened up on the patio. It was a perfect spring evening — light cool breeze with a glorious sunset. They also had live music, which just created a perfect ambience. Sitting outside in the sunshine with live music on a Saturday night? Yes please! We had a very enthusiastic, chatty waitress who greeted us as we sat. We took our time to peruse the menu, because frankly, everything looked amazing and it was just so nice to sit outside and relax. As a raspberry lover, I ordered the Back Porch lemonade and was happily surprised at its deliciousness. You couldn’t taste the vodka and the lemonade wasn’t super sweet; just refreshing and perfect for #porchdrinkin’. We quickly ordered hushpuppies, which were pretty good for sweet corn hushpuppies(I just prefer savory ones). We also ordered the calamari, which was superb with the smoky marinara sauce. I would highly recommend the calamari and a glass of white wine for patio eats. For entrees, my friend and I decided to split the pound of crab legs. And some fried okra. And some gator sausage hoppin’ john. In retrospect, it was an over-order of immense proportions, but I’m glad I got to try out the menu. Hubby ordered the«simply» grouper with grits, and our other friend got the crab cake appetizer and shrimp mac & cheese(he probably ordered the wisest). The crab was juicy and wonderful and I really enjoyed both sides. I’m sure the scallops over the hoppin’ john are terrific. The«simply» grouper was fine; not overly amazing, but not bad either and would tick the box if you’re having a blackened grouper craving. I thought the same about the grits — just fine. That mac & cheese though — wowza, I will definitely get that when I come back! All in all, it really was a delightful, relaxing evening spent eating delicious seafood. I’ll be back!

I haven’t been here in awhile. Came here tonight for the Wednesday oysters special. It’s $ 6/dozen now, which is still cheap. Oysters were decent sized and tasted fresh(it’s in season now). Wednesdays get pretty busy so make reservations!

Went here tonight for the first time and it was very good! We got the steamed crab legs and the shrimp scampi with a crab cake on top. The cocktails were good as well and the ambiance on the front porch was nice. Would definitely come back!

Came here for the second time while in Atlanta today. Ended up getting the ½ pound of peel and eat shrimp. Tasted so good. The shrimp wasn’t stringy and had just enough old bay seasoning. A must get for an appetizer. For dinner I went with the snow crab legs. They were good size and they were nice and sweet. The meat wasn’t super watery like you would get sometimes at a Buffett. The bar is usually pretty empty on weeknights as I was the only one there, but they have a really nice patio too. Service was great and very accomodating. Will come back when in Atlanta.

Here’s the skinny: The shrimp and grits are on point! The portion size is good and the flavor was yummm yuuummm yummity yumm. The hush puppies are really tasty. They are sweet and they come with a really tasty sauce. I heard a lot of great things about the She Crab soup but I didn’t get to taste it. The bacon and shrimp mac and cheese was pretty good but not great. The parts that had bacon were flavorful but the rest was kinda bland. We were really excited about the seafood nachos but they were just SOSO. Lots of the chips didn’t have anything on them. The deets: Wow I really enjoyed myself here. This was my first time coming to coast. My work wife was having a birthday celebration here so you know I needed to be there. She had mentioned Coast to me so many times but this was my first time actually coming here. When we arrived, we couldn’t be seated right away because at least half the party had to be there. We sat by the bar and had some drinks. Everyone kept ordering Hennessy margaritas and Georgia peaches. I tried the Georgia peach and it was sweet like biting into a fresh peach. When we were seated, they actually took us downstairs to the Mermaid dining room. We were in the room by ourselves which was really cool! There were about 12 of us and for them to give us our own rooms made us feel really special. Plus they were really cool about letting us split the bill up which you know can sometimes be an issue with large parties. Overall the service was really good. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. For the most part the food was great. There were a few things that weren’t as good but everything was good overall and she really enjoyed herself. I’ll definitely come back!

Service was great! Ordered gumbo, hush puppies and crab legs and for desert I had the bread pudding. Everything was great! My overall experience was amazing. My server Anna is the best. I love the ½ off crab legs on Monday. Best thing going in the city.

Loved the seafood platter, hushpuppies and she crab bisque. My BF loved the bacon and shrimp mac and cheese, but I thought it was a bit dry. My favorite was the mussels with cream sauce. Broiled oysters were good too! Finally, you must try the flourless chocolate cake — divine! The only real low note was that we went on a Saturday night and it was very frustrating to try to park. You must use the valet if you want parking near the restaurant, and even at almost 9:00PM, we were waiting in the middle of the road trying to turn into the driveway and wait in a long line of cars waiting to valet.

Great service. Dined upstairs where it was renovated 5 months ago. Cozy ambiance. Celebrated Friday with my fiancé. We had chopped salad, oysters, Alaska crab, ribs, crab soup is not the best I’ve had, next time i’ll try that gumbo soup instead.

Visited on a Wednesday night. $ 6.00 for a dozen oysters. Not a bad price for what we got… yes, some were on the smaller side. After we ate the first dozen, hubby ordered another :) The Jalapeño corn hush puppies were pretty good, the jalapeño flavor did not come through, in my opinion. Hubby had the Snow Crab meal, which he really liked. From the one bite I had, I thought the Old Bay was a little strong. My Crab & Shrimp Scampi was ok. Kinda regretting I didn’t order the scallops. For dessert we had the flourless chocolate cake… AWESOME. Service was great. Loved that they gave us hot towels after dinner, not sure if that is standard, maybe just because the hubby had the crab legs. Would love to sit on the deck in nice weather another time.
