Part coffee shop, part convenience store, part restaurant, part hangout for video game and sci-fi enthusiasts… I like it!!! I had an hour to kill before catching the shuttle and Unilocal informed me this shop was .02 miles away so off I went. This is mainly a coffee shop selling espresso drinks, muffins, smoothies, and bagels. However, they also sell hot dogs and have lunch specials. I had the Chicken Tortilla soup which was quite tasty. Upon ordering I was confused as to where the soup would be coming from. The espresso machine? Then I realized if you go around to the back of the shop there is a metal table with a couple of crock pots and a sandwich making area. Now I kind if felt like I was getting soup from a college student selling it out of his garage… but you know lunch is lunch. They also sell pre-made sandwiches, drinks, snacks, slim jims, mentos, ring pops, you know all the essentials. If you’re in the mood to be entertained don’t fret — there are two old school Nintendos set up, a stack of boardgames(Jenga anyone?) and some paperbacks strewn about. Quite unlike anywhere I’ve been(the décor consists of dyed water in lab beakers), but if I’m in the area again I’ll definitely be back

*Yum.* Inexpensive, tasty, and well-portioned. The shawarma is nicely spiced with a good hummus & pita side and a bright, fresh salad. The other dishes at my table looked great, too. Everyone cleaned their plates, but no one left hungry or over-full. Great for lunch. The basil lemonade’s a keeper. And the view… Clearly they chose the wrong side of the street for my building. I’m thrilled to have good food very near my office. We now have a close lunch location that’s also good for taking visitors.
