I went here today and didn’t have such a great experience. I’m guessing they haven’t received any new inventory shipments because of the ice storm. My friend who recommended this restaurant to me was so upset because he was anxious for me to try it and they let us down BIG time. To begin with, our bread was rock hard. I had never eaten a Cuban sandwich before so I assumed that’s how it was supposed to be. Lol silly me! Our chicken was tough, and the sandwich just wasn’t fresh at all. Since their products weren’t fresh, they should have just closed down for the day like Salad Sensations did around 5:00 P.M. I would be willing to give Cubano another chance because my friend said when the food is fresh and the bread isn’t hard, the sandwich is great. Too bad I didn’t get to experience that the first time around.

Lets face it — mall food is mall food. Not the best Caribbean Jerk Chicken sandwich. If you are shopping in the mall and not in a mood for pizza or oriental food, it might be worth a try. They also have the«authentic» Cuban sandwich(pork, ham), which I sampled but didn’t order because it was a bit too bland for me. FWIW.

Perimeter Mall in Atlanta GA — a food court business. Was doing a bit of shopping. Near lunch time so went to the food court. The normal fare — Chicken, Italian, Asian, etc… pretty much the same as any food court in any mall. The Cuban place caught my eye. Didn’t look to be the chain type place, more of a family outfit trying to make a go of it. After a tasty sandwich sample — we were hooked and had to give it a try. I had the Jerk Chicken sandwich, and my spouse had the traditional Cuban sandwich. My Jerk Chicken was very nice. Moist, tasty, good seasoning, generous portion size. My spouse’s sandwich was also quite tasty. Prices were reasonable. Service was quick. Food was fresh, tasty and as advertised — no surprises. Bottom line — it’s mall food, but it’s good mall food. If you are looking for something a little different, something more homemade than chain fast food– it’s worth a visit. We’ll probably go back later in the week for another lunch.
