I have been seeing Dr. Derr for about five years. I have found her to be very prompt with my appointment as well as very professional. Unlike other reviewers, I have not experienced her being quick to get me through the appointment and have never felt she would not answer my questions. She has always been proactive with me and my treatment by giving suggestions for improvement and encouraging words. Heck, she even called me the week after she gave birth to one of her children to give me my test results and ask how my treatment was going. There are MANY endocrinologist between my house and her office, but I feel really comfortable with Dr. Derr and believe she is sincere with trying to help me.

Unfortunately, Dr. Derr has proven just as problematic in my additional experiences with her and her office. I had to call to get lab test results that were supposed to be given to me proactively, she spent zero time letting me ask questions about them, and basically was too busy to be bothered with me. I am no further along than I was when I first went to her in trying to understand my symptoms — I don’t think that’s because she’s incompetent, but because she never took 10 minutes to find out what the problems/symptoms are I’m trying to figure out. Maybe I wasn’t interesting enough, or my insurance doesn’t pay enough — I don’t know. But I have gotten nowhere with her.(If anyone can recommend a good endocrinologist who takes BCBSPOS, message me. :/)
