sad to see it closed. I was introduced to this resurant through a coupon deal on . I was shocked and awed at the huge portion sizes, my wife had the filet and it had to be twice the serving you would get at a comparable place downtown. I had the sea bass on risoto, my wife finally told me I was moaning while I ate… hard to fine food like that anymore

I went there with my GF. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant! 1) Half of their menu was missing. Needless to say, the items missing were the ones that we actually wanted to order. 2) The service is not great. Several times we had to wait for a long time for our server to come by our table, although the restaurant was not busy at all. We had to ASK for our bread, then wait for it. Finally it came out, right before our order was ready. 3) And the most important: the food is far from great. Totally did not meet my expectations from a fine dining restaurant that Dolce is trying to be. The appetizer was straight up nasty, the main dishes tasted like frozen dinners. Absolutely not worth the price they charge for it! Waaaay overpriced! I will not go there again. This restaurant experience was a disaster

While this isn’t the best restaurant I’ve ever been to, I don’t think it deserves quite the negative ratings it seems to have on here. I will say, their regular prices are definitely too much! I guess at half price night they would probably be fine(although the menu will be limited)… otherwise I wouldn’t go. We bought a Groupon Now deal that allowed us to eat for half price on a Saturday night. We went early so it wasn’t too busy. The service was great, we were seated immediately, the food came out fast, and our server visited the table an appropriate amount of times. As for the actual food itself… I had Luigi’s favorite(chicken in cream sauce) and my boyfriend had the chicken parm. I loved my dish and thought it was fantastic. The chicken parm was pretty terrible though. The chicken was rubbery and I’ve had better store brand sauce out of a jar. We also had a chocolate cake for dessert… The desserts are $ 8 each, which is cheap compared to the other prices… the reason for that is that they are tiny! It was good though. The bread they bring to the table is also delicious and we got a prompt refill on it when we ran out. One further thing… Many of their menu items were missing from the menu we got at the table, versus the menu that we had looked up online before coming and the one that was also posted outside the door. Some of the cheaper items were just gone from the menu. This makes it harder to order items and come within the budget that would make your meal half off(here, we had paid $ 20 for $ 40 worth of food). With the cheaper items missing, it’s harder to hit $ 40 exactly and you wind up spending extra that you didn’t want to. I find this somewhat suspicious… But because overall the food was pretty good and the service was pretty good, and because we had $ 20 off our meal, I rate the experience as being good overall. I’d go here… but not at full price.

The looks of the restaurant gets 5 stars.(Atlanta needs more of these.) It is awesome: sexy, sophisticated, VERYLA chic. That is the best thing the place has going for it. I’d recommend this for couples and large groups — NOT families with kids. The food gets 3 stars, so I gave it 4 stars overall. The wine list is neat because they only have Italian wines, but they only have maybe half a dozen choices and all are pricey. The food is definitely not authentic Italian, but it is a good meal with decent portions. We had the lobster bisque which was out of this world amazing.

OVERPRICED. OVERRATED. TOTALDISAPPOINTMENT! NOTWORTHYOURMONEYATALL. bare with me for the long read. we went this past tuesday and it was just disappointing. i brought my mom with me and we were all pumped. we all dressed up and looked forward for a good time. my mom who never want to go anywhere near atlanta agreed to go with me after looking at the pictures they have on their website… and then … We got in and the place is pretty nice. BUT… when our waiter came to the table, he nicely and smoothly told us that pretty much HALFOFTHEMENU is not available. wtf? the waiter’s excuse is that Sunday and Monday are half price off so they get sold out of the most popular items… im sitting there thinking«maybe TODAY should be half price off since half of ur menus are missing» ANYWAY… let me just tell u that the food was not that great either. The bread that they serve at the beginning of the meal is some cheap bread that they dont serve until 10 minutes before ur meal is served. fine. SOLETUSBREAKDOWNMYDISAPPOINTMENT: 1. LUIGI’S PICK: the nerve! it is just CHICKENALFREDO. The pasta was a little too al dente for my taste but ok. HONEST: my hubby’s fave is Chicken Alfredo, and I actually cook it quite often, and MYCHICKENALFREDOISBETTERTHANTHIS! and this item was actually the best tasting out of everything we ordered. 2. CHICKENPARMIGIANA: tasted just like Stouffer’s frozen dinner. Although it is a huge portion, it is still not worth my money. 3. Appetizer: something called Fried and Crispy? something like that. Well, that is what u will get. For 11 bucks a fist size serving of deep fried thin slices of zucchini, carrots, and barely any calamari and shrimp. It is just such a disgrace. They served it with marinara(that kinda tasted like the sauce on my chicken parmigiana) and some sweet sauce with cilantro in it – that one is actually decent. THREEFAILEDITEMS = $ 50.00, only water, tip not yet included. i HONESTLY almost stiffed the waiter, but could not manage to do that. I was clearly upset with everything and our waiter did not offer anything to make our stay worth while. Fifty bucks for spaghetti with chicken, chicken alfredo, and some fried crap… fifty bucks! We drove an hour away to come to this restaurant only to be disappointed. LISTEN to most of the reviews. This place is a hit or miss. Dont get lured in by their fancy pictures… U may as well go to Carabba’s.

Stay away! The ½ off promotion on Sunday is a sham! Half the things on the menu were not available. Don’t promote a half off when you can’t honor it! We understand that serving lobster and rack of lamb at half off is not possible so just print another menu for the half off nite. Service was horrible! Our waiter must have said sorry at least 20 times and then the manager! Food was good but the entire experience was not. They tried to over charge me for my drink. A Highland park scotch for $ 25.00!!! NOTGOINGBACK! It’s a shame because the décor and ambience is perfect. The 2 stars are for the food. The rest are in the negative.

Stopped here yesterday with a friend. She informed me they also do 50% off everything on the menu on Sundays in addition to Mondays. There are some exceptions… a few of the appetizers as well as those dishes that have lobster as the main feature. But still… what a great deal! The restaurant has some of the nicest décor I’ve seen. The seating is mainly made up of booths, which are semi circles that run the length of the restaurant. They remind me of the kind of booths you see at the club. There may have been regular tables as well, but I sat up at the front with my friend. Everything is all light grey, black, white with crystal accents. Very luxurious-looking and modern. It looks straight out of a magazine. I ordered the jumbo seared scallops which normally is $ 25, but I paid $ 12.50 for it before tip and tax. Awesome. The dish was nothing short of amazing. There were three lobster risotto cakes arranged on the plate along with a jumbo scallop sitting atop each one. It also came with a small salad of fresh greens with small pieces of lobster. It didn’t look like much, but it was definitely filling. We also got a bread basket that featured some of the softest, most delicious bread… there was some shredded parmesan on top as well as herbs and sweet onion. It came with a few slices of capicola(?) as well as some small hunks of cheese. Not sure what kind of cheese but that was very good as well. It took all my self-control not to devour the entire basket myself! The only downer was not the restaurant’s fault. There were some screaming kids… they definitely seemed out of place in this restaurant.

Quick review after stopping in here for cocktails and appetizers. We both had a specialty cocktail that was supposed to be a mix of Grey Goose pear nectar I think, and a moscato sparkler — like a «bellini martini»… Might as well have been a glass of fruit juice. Not worth the $ 10 for a «signature» cocktail. A cocktail should actually taste like there is alcohol in it and if it incorporates a sparkling wine, there should be at least some bubbly quality to the drink. I actually mentioned this to the very kind and attentive waiter. They came back the second time exactly the same!(Major fail on my part expecting that the rookie bartender might actually get the hint and get it right the second time!!!) Tuna Tartar was fantastic elegant and tasty! Score a positive there! Jumbo Lump Crab Cake was a nice size and was flavorful as well. Only problem, please don’t put a big jumbo piece of lump crab meat on top of the cake and somehow think that you are going to fool me into thinking that’s also whats inside of the crab cake: ITWASN’T! If you use fin meat in the cake you can’t call it Jumbo Lump! I hate it when kitchen managers pull this crap. Fool the rest of them but you wont fool this foodie again!

Kind of a weird experience here one Friday night when we had to use a half-priced gift certificate here, since Geisha House next door had closed down. Kudos to them for accepting the GH certificate! We were promptly sat at a semi-circle table by the main door that faced a waiting area. It’s a weird table since you and your date sit side by side and stare at the people that are waiting. Avoid this table and sit in the main area. Our waitress tended to come and go at random times and once she got a table of 20 she was sparsely seen. I think it’s something to do with the fact they can’t judge how busy they’ll be on the weekends. Sometimes they’re slammed and other times they’re dead. The appetizers we had, risotto balls and calamari just weren’t that great. Risotto balls at Sound Table, and the calamari at Canoe are way better. The saving grace was the lobster pasta dish I had. Fantastic cream sauce with giant hunks of lobster. My date’s lasagna was just alright though. For the normal price this place is way overpriced. There are a hundred other better restaurants in Atlanta to spend $ 100. At least we saved $ 25 with our gift cert. Someday I hope Atlantic Station will become a food destination. At least they have Tin Drum, which rocks my face off!

It’s still 50% off on Mondays, which I think is a great deal. On all other nights, the pricing is comparable to what you would pay at other upscale Italian restaurants, such as Sotto Sotto, Pricci, Maggiano’s, La Tavola Trattoria, and Alfredo’s. The ambience at Dolce is modern, luxurious, dark, and sexy. It looks more like a place that you would find in Los Angeles, which is cool. Because I was underwhelmed by Dolce’s food on my first visit, I asked our server this time which dishes were the most flavorful. Foccacia(the complimentary bread) — really fresh, simple, soft on the inside with a crispy salty crust. Great with the salami, cheese, extra virgin olive oil, and balsamic vinegar that come with it. 4 stars. Risotto balls — Salty, savory, and very flavorful indeed. I really like risotto, but tonight I realized that I do not like risotto so much in the form of a fried ball. My date thought it tasted just right, compared to the other fine Italian restaurants that he frequents. 3 stars. Lobster conchiglie — The portion did not look that big, but I could barely finish 40% of it. Its sauce is rich, creamy, and very flavorful, and the portion of fresh lobster is generous. I was impressed by the fact there were whole lobster claws(without the shell) in my dish. 4 stars. Grouper with orzo — I have to admit that I had low expectations for this entrée, especially after the bland grouper with orzo that I had at Leon’s Full Service last week. Dolce’s version is actually quite excellent, very flavorful and elegantly presented with a delightful mix of texture. 4 stars. Tiramisu — very rich and creamy, but not disgustingly heavy. Light liquor flavor, but not too overwhelming for the girl who’s allergic to alcohol. I really enjoyed it. 4.5 stars. I’m glad I came back to give Dolce a second chance. It’s one of most romantic classy restaurants I’ve been to.

After going to several crowded restaurants on the night of December 18, my boyfriend and I decided to eat at Dolce for the first time. They said since we didn’t have reservations, it would be a 45 minute wait. We were tired of ‘restaurant hoping’ so we decided to wait. Once we walked in, the place ambiance and atmosphere was really nice but we were shocked we had to wait 45 minutes because they didn’t have a lot of customers. They had less than 6 tables filled and majority of the tables were empty. They did get a large party so I guess they were going to use their waitress all on the one table b/c I didn’t see a 45 minute wait or a 5 minute wait. We decided to wait anyway. Once there was room at the bar, we decided to just eat at the bar after waiting 15 minutes. The bartender bought us some bread and cheese and something else(can’t remember). It was really good so I was feeling better after eating that. I ordered pasta and he ordered ravioli(I think). The food was delicious but I was surprised of the small portion for the price. I expected a larger portion. Then we ordered our drinks. We were done eating by the time we received our drinks. I thought that was strange considering we were actually sitting at the bar. The drinks were good but it took forever to actually receive them. I will give it a plus for the taste of food and the look of the restaurant. It gets a minus for the wait in a non-crowded place, the small portions, and the wait on the drinks. Will I go again? I guess so if it is on a Monday since I know they have 50% off.

This is definitely one of the trendiest places in Atlantic Station, and of course, modeled off of the original Dolce and Geisha House out in LA — sorta reminds me of being in LA dining out at this restaurant. Décor is very modern, great lighting(well, it was still light out), and just generally a younger, yuppie crowd. In terms of the food, I came here on a Monday night, where everything food was 50% off — a great deal and the food was decent. The beef carpaccio was not great, don’t get that. However, the cesar salad was good, and so was the farfalle with chicken, spinach, and sun dried tomatoes. Dinner for 2 ended up being only $ 45 including tip, which is a pretty great deal if you ask me. I probably would not come here for dinner on a regular night, but would definitely think about coming here for a few drinks at the bar — seems like it would be a good scene with some beautiful people.

So first off? ABSOLUTELY stunning inside, and perfect for a special date! I used to frequent here mondays, when food was 50% off, and one of my friends used to bartend.(he made me a martini with lemoncello that was to die for!) The menu has really changed for this place, and seems to have gone downhill quite a bit… Appeal to the masses I suppose? I still enjoy their Carpaccio & Burrata Plater quite a bit! I’d def recommend this place as a place to come for pre-movie drinks & apps, because otherwise the entrees leave quite a bit to be desired. The gnochhi is very doughy, and the entrees are in general, just so-so.

In all fairness, I was at Dolce with a client for dinner and mostly talking and in-tune with business at hand. So. My usual words ooozing with energy may be lacking in this review. I ordered the mushroom ravioli with grilled asparagus on the side. The dish was quite delicious and decadent. My guest ordered a couple of appetizers which were the tuna tartar w/crispy won ton chips and calamari. He cleaned his plates so I assume he liked! :) The meritage red wine was good, the service was attentive but not hovering and the atmosphere was pleasant. Enjoy!

I’m not really sure why this place has such low ratings. It’s a tad bit overpriced, and I probably would *NEVER* go here on a night when it’s fully priced(every other night than Monday), but I wouldn’t hate on the food because of it. I think the lamb is fantastic. It’s moist, crisp on the edges, and absolutely mouth watering. The tuna tartar was SOOO delish! For ANY tuna lovers out there, absolutely get this! The martini is pretty strong(that’s a good thing, I think)…and for $ 12ish for one it should be. I definitely recommend anyone who wants to do fine dining for the fraction of the price to go here(only on Mondays!). It’s worth it :)

ONLYFORMONDAYNIGHT50% OFF! i wouldnt ever come here normally… but its one of my regulars for mondays :) the 50% puts the food at a good price and portion. i deffff recom these: –mussels– really good! i get these every time. the broth is tasty and the mussels are always fresh –arugula salad or hollywood chop-the arugula is more light and has arugula and apples. the hollywould chop has mozzarella cheese and salami –carpaccio-pretty tasty… thought ive never had it anywhere else –the daily salmon-their daily salmon special changes, but generally is some salmon, with some potato, with some lobster. very good, and a huge portion, but more pricey than the other entrees. –the grouper– its usually crusted with something or another, so i always get it grilled. the orzo is yummy. things there are soso: –gnocchi-they arent really gnocchi… more like fired pieces of dough. not bad… but wonderful either –fresh and crispy-the battered calamari, shrimp, and scallops are a MESSSS oily and falling apart. so actually, i wouldnt get this –the butternut squash bisque-HEAVY and tasty, but in a HUGE bowl and makes u feel a little sick haha –the spaghetti-pretty decent. the sauce is tasty and the meatball(yea, i think its just one large meatball) and the sausage(uncut) too. –chicken parm-HUGE portion. but i dont like chicken parm that much soooo heh. the check was pretty tender tho. and its not good leftover since its breaded –braised veal– apparently i dont like veal… after i tried this, i thought it was WAY to heavy and fatty… puke –lasagna-super duper cheesy… an HUGE portion on the center of the plate… hmmm –so far, the desserts ive tried are just soso so overall… go mondays. no other days. im a fan of the décor and the music selection, most mondays are like mid 90s awesome songs haha theyve also had like… frank sinatra live singer man and random fortune teller woman

Good for date because the interior and good for dessert but not good for food! Quote from my friend: «Do you need flash light to go to the restroom?»

I admit it…“I’m a jerk.” I returned to my old local watering hole… Dolce is a diamond in the middle of Atlantic Station. Its obvious most are a fan of the décor; but I’m officially a fan of the management. I went last night(Wednesday)…and for the record… restaurants with«deals» during the week are ingenious! «Wine down Wednesday’s» are my kind of night. Why wouldn’t I want a steal of deal on Moet?(Although I did stick with my classic«Hennessey and coke.») Kudos to the bartender for keeping them coming! Jen(one of the infamously cute hostesses greeted us and sat us right away.) After reading my tyrant review I read others on Dolce… a lot of bra-strap talk. WHAT an exaggeration! All the girls(hostess/waitress) are hot and all of the men are absolute gentlemen. The crowd Dolce attracts is well… attractive. The furniture is comfortable, big comfy white moon shaped booths with black leather tables. «POSH» is the perfect adjective for Dolce. Why the infatuation with the management(?), because they have INTEGRITY. The economy is knocking out restaurants left and right; the restaurants that A) maintain their connections with loyal customers B) continue to use quality ingredients… will be successful! I had the shrimp scampi and scallops pasta… my date had the chicken parm! Great presentation, great portion… in fact I ate too much!(If I wasn’t leaving for Costa Rica I would have taken the leftovers.) Salad was fresh and crispy… and speaking of fresh and crispy… our appetizer was perfect. The music was loud enough to enjoy but I could comfortably speak with my «new crush.» Dolce, I’ll be back and I’m bring HOT-lanta with me!

Because of the holes here and there in either the service or food from time-to-time I’ve got to stick with 4 stars on Dolce, it’s one of my Atlanta favorites and they tend to impress most of the people I bring to it, but it’s a little chain-y feeling in their food and a little gimmicky. On this last visit it was a super-early evening dinner because my husband and I were heading to a sneak preview at Regal and needed to be herded into the theatre :). When the wait-staff is as beautiful as they are at Dolce, you tend to get some snotty ones from time-to-time, which is fine and understandable given the LA-background of the Dolce Group :). Tonight that was not the case. If anything our waitress Mya was outstanding and maybe a little over-zealous, but there’s nothing wrong with that, she was great! We splurged a little this evening, having not been to Dolce in awhile and having a gift certificate with us :). Had a bottle of wine, the oh-so-good Fresh & Crispy calamari app and then got the Chicken Picatta and Dolce Gnocchi, which quite frankly I never wanted to end it was so delicious, but in an incredibly bad-for-you kind of way. Overall another great night at Dolce, it was nice and quiet, which isn’t usually the case and I would highly recommend checking out Open Table for a rez before heading over, regardless of the time!
