Dollie’s Ice Cream

Great place for ice cream and smoothies. The red hot sandwich with everything is delicious. It comes with chili, cheese and onions. The combo includes potato salad and baked beans and soda.

You probably never noticed this place that sits across the corner from Joe’s and directly across the street from My Sister’s Room. It purports to be an ice cream shop, but there’s signage all over advertising hot dog/​link lunch specials at ridiculously low prices.
I had a two Nathan hot dog combo, beans, potato salad, and a coke all for $ 4.99! Wow, what a deal! It was good, too! Be prepared– they cook your hot dogs on, get ready– a HOT PLATE. Yep. However, as I said, they really came out perfectly toasted and tasty.
My issue came with the potato salad. I saw them take it out of this big bucket. I don’t think they probably sell that much of it (maybe they do), so I was concerned about the freshness of it. Really concerned. It didn’t help that I ended up not feeling well later.
Also, be warned, they have beans in the chili that goes on the hot dogs.
Oh– NO place to sit. Not even one barstool, and they won’t let you stand anywhere inside and eat either. They could at least place two seats. Geesh.
I’ll definitely go back, just no potato salad, and no chili on my hot dogs.
