E Z Rent A Car

Piss poor customer service. A woman by the name if Michelle has a terrible attitude. I handed her my DL and my credit card and she refuses to give it to me in my hands. Then she told me she would cancel my contract bc she didn’t like my attitude. Beware of Michelle!

This is my second and last time ever attempting to rent from this horrible business. Both times I had paid upfront for my rental and when I showed up at the time I stated in my contract no cars were available. Both of these times were late at night after a long day of travel. The staff was beyond rude and unprofessional. Their attitude, the very few seconds they bother giving you any attention, was basically «too bad, not my problem».
I don’t even understand how a place that operates so incompetently and disrespectfully can be allowed to operate a business.
If you actually want the car you rented, or ANY car for that matter, you can not count on them. Insult to injury, they will treat you like a rodent they are trying to get rid of.

if you don’t care about being lied to re. the ability to earn FF miles, then you’ll be happy enough.
we have no issue with the car rental itself but although we had confirmed over the phone that they’ll accept Delta and again at the counter when we picked up the card (our # was entered into the system in our presence).
The car was clean, the service prompt and all went well. That’s the good news
we waited several weeks and no credit for car rental miles had shown up. We called and first were told that, yes, the # had been entered into the system… but call #2 resulted in being told that getting the credit was up to Delta that they (E-​Z) had done everything they were supposed to. Delta, when called, disputed this, of course. Long story short, our final call was first to an employee who was pretty unfriendly about the whole thing and we finally insisted on speaking to a supervisor. She told us that they haven’t given airline credit in years and made no apology for our having been told otherwise or any of her employees saying things to the contrary. Clearly there is a serious lack of training and communication on this point. We wouldn’t have rented the car because part of our travel strategy includes the consideration around FFmiles when it makes sense and in this case it would have. But it turned out to be a bust.
This was about the most unsatisfactory customer service issue ever. All they would have had to do from the time of booking is say: sorry, we don’t give FF miles and we would have rented from another company. End of subject.
Being lied to is incredibly objectionable and unprofessional.

This is the worst rental car company I have ever experienced. My car broke down during spring break week in Atlanta. With 2 children we arrived at the Orlando Airport exhausted and out of options. We were charged an extra $ 200 because we were paying with a debit card. Our car smelled of smoke (which I documented) and a fuse was blown that controlled the phone chargers. We were just happy to be back on the road. On the way back we knew we would be a little late returning our car. We called 12 times to contact them to make them aware and see what the charge would be. Every time we were disconnected or sent to a voicemail. We left a voicemail and sent an email with no response. Finally I was able (with a lot of searching) to find online a way to extend my reservation. We were only an hour late from original time. At drop off they charged us $ 40 because we were late. I showed them my confirmation for the later time and they said it wasn’t the contract I signed and it would be charged. I called 3 branches to get this cleared up and was disconnected with all of them when asked for a manager. Finally someone from corporate called me back and said «it’s weird that they gave you a confirmation on your same reservation number because you can’t do that. Your signed contract is the one we have to go with» why should I be punished when your system gave me a confirmation? I thought it was updated. Why would I then rush when I had plenty of time. I will NEVER rent from them and I will make sure none of my friends ever do either.

Very easy and quick rental process… I went to them last minte after finally arriving after my departure flight was delay and a competitor would not honor my original rate. Did not try to upsell the additional insurance after informing that I had my own. In a matter of 10 minutes I was in my rental and driving away. Vehicle was the cleanest rental I had in a while.

They should call the company sleazy Rent-​A-​Car. In all of my years of traveling I’ve never had this happen to me…
I go to the car rental counter with a confirmed reservation and they tell me they have no cars. I show them my confirmed reservation and they say «sorry we don’t have any cars». I had many hours to travel and was stuck thanks to this company who apparently does not honor reservations like a real car rental company. Like they say «You get what you pay for». Don’t use this company!
By the way, I went to Alamo, who had a car at a very comparable rate still and they were extremely courteous and helpful!

Would never rent from them again!
What they quoted me online was far from the truth! When I went to pick my rental up they were so rude! The guy charged my card 2x! Then wanted me to call my bank right there and figure it out. The guy never even apologized! Thought ppl in the south were nice. Anyways, It’s been 1 week since I brought my rental back and I’m still having issues with my bank and the charges these ppl put on my account! Never again!!!

My car was not ready at the reserved time, and when I tried to use the 5% check-​in offer, the agent had no clue what I was showing her on my phone.
It’ll be interesting to see what the car is like once I get it.
Additional info:
We got a Toyota Sienna. A decent minivan, but not really what we reserved. We were told to inspect the car for damage before leaving. The problem with doing this is that we got a black car and it is parked in a dark garage. There really was no way to inspect the car.
Hopefully, they won’t try to charge me for b.s. damage.

My experience was good. The staff are very friendly and the car was clean. I only rented for about 3 days. I’m giving four stars because picking up the car is not easy. Checking in at the desk takes about 10 minutes and a $ 200 refundable deposit. Once it’s time to pick up the keys I was given a form with a diagram of the car and asked to circle any dents or scratches on the diagram that I saw on the car. I was very annoyed by this. It took another 15 minutes or so to properly examine the car and identify the scratches or dents.

Extremely disappointed. I booked this car rental online from florida. I booked a compact car because I was only traveling with my mom. When we arrived to the airport at EZ rent a car the rental agent was not as customer friendly as I’d hope for. She refused to talk to me because the rental was under my moms name even though I was the driver. However, she got us in and out as fast as possible. When we went to see the car they upgraded us to a full size car. we were in a rush and was only going to have the car less then 24 hours so we jump right in and took off. Mind you it was very dark inside the garage where we picked up the car and the interior was black so it looked clean as we took it. Once we got out of the garage and we were in the sun we saw how dirty this car was. I can understand a little dust but this car was filthy. The radio was covered in dust, the window was smudged with something all over, the seats looked like it had bodily fluids on it, and the worst was the dried throw up in the shift gears and floor near the center console. It was too late to turn around because we had to make it to a wedding less than 24 hours I spoke with Ez rent a car at ATL airport and the agent said she will note the account. Nothing else but note the account no apology, concern or compensation that the cars they are renting out are disgusting. I will never rent from them again. Please see photos attached

My experience was great. They really took care of me after another car rental place, that I made reservations with didn’t work out.
Perry, the very helpful gentleman at the front desk, was very patient, and took his time the whole process. I was a bit frustrated because I stood in line only to be turned away so she I got to his counter he could sense something wasn’t right.
After I told him what happened he processed my paper work and gave me a mid-​size vehicle for the price of an economy. I didn’t need a bigger car but was grateful for his helpful gesture.
To rent with easy, if you have to use a debit card (they don’t allow pre-​paid cards) you will be charged a $ 200 deposit that you’ll get back upon returning the vehicle. Their prices are comparable and their cars are pretty decent. This is my second time using them.

Well, I’ve had my rental for a few hours and I already feel compelled to write a negative review.
Let’s start with the pick-​up process. After waiting in line for an exorbitant amount of time, I got to the front desk and presented the associate with a 5% off the daily rate coupon that had just popped up on my phone because I «checked-​in» on Unilocal.She insisted to me that I had to have the promo code BEFORE booking my reservation. So, clearly this woman was an idiot, as that would be impossible, and the promo notice told me to present my phone to the associate so I could get my discount.
I didn’t get my discount.
The situation continued to get worse when I was told that they had no cars (despite having a «reservation» for a compact car and there being a line of people behind me, also with reservations). So I’m standing there, waiting and waiting, while she attempts to get a car for me? I don’t really know what she was doing. Staring at her computer screen.
Finally she says, I have a convertible. It’s the only car she had, and she told me that I could have it at the same rate I was already paying for the compact car. So, in an effort to get the F on with my day, I said I’d take it.
Cue me walking down to the parking garage and seeing a hideous yellow Camaro, which, lucky for me (not) was my rental. Not only was the top broken and couldn’t go down, but the thing barely fit my suitcase.
It’s also gets horrible, horrible gas mileage.
I hate the car. I hate the customer service. I’m pissed that they are running a Unilocal promotion that apparently no one employed by the company can figure out how to apply.
Shitty experience. I can only imagine what a pain in the ass dropping the car off will be.

AVOID! About 2 days after we rented a car from (not so) EZ Rent a Car, it started to rain. We put on the windshield wipers and noticed a big crack along the bottom of the wind shield. We did NOTHING to the car to cause this. But they still held us accountable. Since my insurance covers broken windshields, it was easier to just have it paid than to fight it. Then they charged an $ 80 administration fee that my insurance company says is not reasonable or typical so they wouldn’t pay it. EZ kept calling and bugging me. To get rid of them, I am paying the $ 80 but I am pissed about it.
DO NOT RENT from them. I found them difficult to work with and unreasonable in how they handled this.

Good: I rented from them twice in 2014. The first rental was in mid August. I requested a compact car, but they didn’t have any available when I arrived. Free of charge, they upgraded me to a me a white 2014 Chevrolet Captiva, a trendy mid-​size SUV. I had it for 3 days and I drove to middle GA. Everything went smoothly.
Not So Good: The second rental was in late September. Again, I requested a compact car, and again they had none available. They offered me a 2014 Chevrolet Impala. I was not happy about that, and the car smelled like smoke when I got in. I was short on time, so I just had to deal with it. After driving with the windows down for a day, the smoke smell cleared.
Their customer service was good. They are cheap relative to Hertz/​Enterprise, The receipts are emailed. I will rent from them again on my my next trip to ATL.

I have rented from them twice. Once personally and once on a strict work budget. Both times it was fine. Just be aware that they do put a hold on your credit card. Nothing to sweat since it comes off when you return the car. Also when you book economy you get economy. My last rental was a Nissan Versa with manual locks and manual windows. But it had AC at least. Though I wish it was cleaned a little better and whoever rented it last used the spare and never clamped anything down afterwards so it was loud and noisy until I did it. But it is what it is. A cheap car rental.

Total bait & switch operation !!!
After deciding not to use my usual rental car company, I thought I would give them a try. I prepaid my rental I arrived at the rental desk to see a $ 200 credit card 10day hold on my card. After all the extra add on fees my $ 37 a day rental turned into a $ 80 a day weekend rental. I also turned in the gas a sliver below the F and was charged $ 6 for $ 1.50 worth of gas.
This place is a nickel & dime ripoff.
I wished I would have gone with my normal company it would have been cheaper in the end & I would not have felt ripped off
Stay away !!!

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! I rented from them at that Atlanta airport on a visit to see my mom in early November after she first broke her arms.
Upon returning the car, the EZ agent immediately tells me the car was broken into.
It wasn’t.
The car was driven non-​stop to my parents’ house from the Atlanta airport, parked in their driveway for two days, then driven back.
My parents live in rural Sterrett, Alabama. Who is going to drive out to Sterrett, Alabama — locate my folks house off two dirt roads over a set of railroad tracks to break into an empty Chevy Impala? No one.
Yet they are sending me a bill for nearly $ 2000.
Of course I’m disputing it …
I have also found more than 80 similar consumer reports and am considering suing them for fraud.
Point being — there are TONS of choices when you need to rent a car. Please don’t let this company be among the ones you consider.

If it’s an issue of money, PAY MORE.
If it’s an issue of location, DRIVE FURTHER.
Do EVERYTHING you can to AVOID RENTING FROM HERE.
I booked my reservation TWO months in advance for around $ 70.
I arrived about an hour early, and let them know I was there, but planned on waiting until pick up time, but they started checking me out anyway, which decreased my return time by an hour =/​.
Lo and behold, there are all of these fees, services and insurance costs added during pick up.
Had the company been transparent or originally posted said fees and additional charges during my first online reservation, I would have just gone with SIXT rental, as I’ve done before, instead of E Z.
Since my reservation was made online, it was unchangeable/​nonrefundable (this part they were able to make perfectly clear).
ADDITIONALLY, the compact car I requested must not have been available, because I was encouraged to upgrade, but after denying, was given the upgrade anyway, as a «freebie» for all these additional charges.
The point of my choosing «compact car» was to save on gas… so no, an upgrade did not make my trip more pleasant.
At the end of the day, I returned the car ONE MINUTE late (due to a wrong turn on my part), was charged a late fee and somehow my grand total went from around $ 70 to a little over $ 200.
In the words of Andre 3000: «Don’t do it! Reconsider!»

My flight from Chicago was super delayed and I had to switch my rental reservation from another company to this one because their Kiosk is actually open 24 hours. The lady at the font desk had a little bit of an attitude, but I did get a 2014 Chevy Impala with Flexfuel for 3 days with unlimited miles. Another customer was upset that he got the Impala, but it was more than big enough for me. I think it qualifies as «Full-​Size»
I drove the car around Atlanta and to Charlotte, North Carolina and back without any problems. The car was clean and in great condition. The returns was painless. I gassed up about 7 miles away from the airport before returning the car. I was careful driving and parking so as not to ding the car. I would, however, recommend getting the rental through Priceline because their collision insurance is much cheaper.

The CHEAPEST CAR RENTAL on the market and the cars were clean and new.
I arrived and was greeted. The lady working the desk was very pleasant with a little small talk. She didn’t try to upsell or bully me like others have «tried». She even gave helpful tips and got me in and out in less than 5 minutes. I went downstairs and my car was ready. They pointed me the in the right direction and I was off!
When I returned the car, it was again a quick process. The lady gave it the once around and I was out. I got my bill the other day and it was exactly as promoted.
The only reason they don’t get 5 stars is because of my first time there:
40 min wait with 2 folks in front of me at 11:00. That said, the lady was nice and my rental went relatively quickly. Fortunately that wasn’t the case this time.
