Excellent quality for airport dining. Prices are as would be expected, which is to say exorbitant. Still, a very civilized alternative to fast food choices with an impressive selection of wines by the glass and quality draft beers. Homemade sausage and mozzarella are some of the ingredients on their excellent & substantial pizze. Soup of the day was acorn squash, a bit sweet for my taste. I’d definitely return.

Duped me on the included tip. Shame on you! I stopped in for lunch today. Good food, but the server wasn’t forth coming I was distracted on the phone and in a hurry to get to my gate. I didn’t look at the detail of my receipt. I had three items — salad, pizza and wine — didn’t think I needed to do an audit. The restaurant includes 18% and then leaves a tip line open. $ 51.20 is pretty crazy for three items. I get it. It’s my responsibility to read what I am signing, but some good old customer service would have been nice.

I’ve never given 5 stars to anything inside of an airport but Ecco is by far the best thing to happen to ATL. The fried goat cheese drizzled in honey is like waking up from a great nap. So comfortable and vibrant the flavors they’ve infused here. I had the handmade fennel sausage pizza which was perfectly flavored with just the right balance of Sweet and spicy. Ordered their citrus marscapone dessert and once again I was impressed by the restraint shown by it’s creator. Lemon without obnoxiousness. Savory. Atmosphere feels like you left the airport for a while, with Sinatra and Krall drifting over your head while you forget, for just a moment, about your upcoming 4-hour flight. A+ service from Savannah who influenced every decision I made, much to my delight. Wow!

Probably the best restaurant inside ATL airport. They have a pretty good selection of wines and the food is delicious. I started with the fried goat cheese which was delicious; and the meat and cheese plate was delicious as well. For my main course i had the steak and it was crispy on the outside but medium on the inside. Now the downside… I waited there for 20 min for a table despite there being like 20 empty tables… And the service is a bit slow as well. Aside from that the ATL airport is really stepping up their food game for sure with this restaurant.

I was very impressed w/this establishment & the service that came w/it! I will definitely go bak. My server Malcolm was top notch. ECCO was so awesome I almost 4got I was n an airport. I started w/the grilled romaine salad. 2 my surprise it was VERY tasty. The lettuce tasted like it was actually cooked on the grill. The cheese, dressing & nut mixture produced a delicious combo! I chose the garlic shrimp appetizer & fries 4 my meal. The fries were very good but I probably won’t order the shrimp again. My preference is 2 hav my shrimp seasoned n addition 2 floating n the garlic butter. I had 2 add salt, pepper & lemon 2 the shrimp 4 flavor. Malcolm was shocked by my feedback on the shrimp. Saying I was the only person who ever said that. Although it is 1 of the most popular dishes on the menu, I’ll skip it nxt time & try sumthing else. All n all this was an awesome dining experience ESPECIALLY4 an airport. I recommend & will go bak!

My friend and I schlepped all. the. way. over. to the international terminal after perusing the One Flew South menu and my vegetarian friend being less than thrilled. Luckily, we made the nearly 20 minute walk from C to F terminal. Because Ecco was awesome. Firstly, service. Some of the best service I’ve had this year, and without a doubt, the best service I’ve ever had in an airport. Our server was bubbly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. She told me she had recently been assigned a powerpoint project over the bar’s Cruvinet(?) wine dispensing system. My boo also ordered some(very strong) delightfully bitter mixed drink from their revolving cocktail menu. It was unexpected and impressive. It’ll be a hard choice for you to choose from libations or their expertly curated wine menu. I went with a crisp white wine I’d had before and prepared for lift off. Other Unilocalers(and a food blogger from Serious Eats) had said their fried goat cheese was worth the trek alone, and far be it from me to spit in the face of my( Unilocalie, Foodie) ancestors. My bud and I pulled the trigger on those, while he ordered a wood-fired pizza and I ordered the mussels. The goat cheese was thoroughly mind-blowing and I could barely speak when I ate them. They were drenched in(orange-blossom?) honey and black pepper and were sheer, simple, perfection. Bonus? They were perfect with my wine. The other food was good as well, though I could probably have eaten myself to death on the goat cheese and risen happily to Valhalla. So, there you go: best appetizer of the year, and best airport service of the year. Get thee to Ecco. Book your airfare to flavortown.

Stopped in today for a quick bite while waiting for our next flight. The service was great and fast. Travis took great care of us. We had fried goat cheese and a tomato basil pizza. It was definitely fresh and very good– even though it was in an airport. Only downfall was you can’t get alcohol before 1230 on Sunday’s so we didn’t get any red wine to enjoy with our pizza. Good thing we are on our way to Mexico!

Concourse F — International. One of the best restaurants in the airport. Ecco is from a local Atlanta restaurant group, Fifth Group, that has an excellent reputation. This is a version of their Mediterranean restaurant, also called Ecco, in Midtown Atlanta, which has a loyal and happy customer base. The airport Ecco does an excellent job acquitting itself and living up to the reputation. Ecco combines favorite, well-honed dishes with seasonal dishes. They did a great job of bringing Ecco to the airport. I recommend the fried goat cheese and the pappardelle with braised pork, if they are available. If you can’t make it to Concourse F, I also recommend Varasano’s Pizza(Concourse A) and One Flew South(Concourse E).

As I’ve mentioned earlier, the honey peppered goat cheese balls are worth an otherwise unnecessary trip to concourse F. Ecco is also a bit above and a step away from the chaos of the rest of the airport. If you have the time, be sure to stop in.

Great food. Excellent service. Strong drinks. Ecco would be a great restaurant even if it wasn’t in an airport. Well worth the trip to Terminal F.

Ecco midtown is quite delicious and I had high hopes for the airport outpost, but they let me down. The mussels were in the most bland of sauces and the bread with whatever was smeared atop was terrible. Maybe it’s because I’ve been having a good mussel month what with consuming delicious ones in San Diego and all, but these fell far flat of my expectations. The goat cheese balls were tasty though. Service was pretty good.

This was hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had in an airport for a long time and almost makes me change my feelings about this airport. Almost. The service was perfect. There was a charging port next to my table. And I got to people watch.(I’d definitely recommend sitting on the balcony if any space is available) Is there really more to say? Oh yeah, the food. Also pretty solid. I had their pappardelle with the braised pork and their baby jewel lettuces. The lettuces weren’t great. Overly vinegar-y, in my opinion, so I’d try something else. The pasta was delicious, though. I’m not a huge fan of braised meat in general, but this was definitely an exception. Oh. And do yourself a favor. Try some of their drinks while you’re there. You’ll feel so superior to the people scurrying below you to try to catch their plane. Until you realize that you used over an hour of your layover to enjoy your meal and now you’re going to have to join them in the frantic race to get to a different terminal.

This would have got a higher rating if the service wasn’t so terrible because the food is really good. I requested a spot on the balcony again. Perfect for people watching during a long layover. Sad thing is that the server prep station is right next to my table. Had three of them walk by without so much as a hello. Finally someone alerted the server that I was in her section? I had a grilled octopus appetizer. This was served with grilled cauliflower in a nice balsamic chile vinegar. Octopus was tender and tasty. Would have stayed to try their braised pork or squid ink, but the service is so terrible. The restaurant wasn’t even crowded. Will be back for the food but might try sitting at the bar next time. My theory: terminal F is international. Not a lot of tipping overseas. This place automatically adds 18 percent gratuity. Might have something to do with the lack of good service.

I have visited this location several times. Each time I am equally impressed with the service and the freshness of the food. They have a full bar and many wines. They have a really nice selection of Italian meats and cheeses, as well as olives and other starters. They have a good selection of pastas, as well as flatbread pizzas. I have had the prosciutto pizza, and from the cheese to the bread, it is outstanding! This is probably the best(and most ‘real’) restaurant in the Atlanta airport. The only downside is it is a jaunt(Terminal F) if you are flying domestically. It’s worth the trek… take the plane train to F!

On my way to the connection gate towards Amsterdam, I noticed this sleek looking restaurant at the end of the typical fast-food type«shacks» along the wall. The host and hostess were very soft spoken and very welcoming. We were promptly seated on the terrace and there was lots of space for all the guests, you could really feel some homely privacy. Annie was our cameriera(waitress) and was well educated on the menu. The did not have any non-alcoholic cocktails for me, but I was offered a lavender infused lemonade which was definitely refreshing. My eyes went to one of the pastas with pulled pork, tomatoes and peppers(and who can forget the delicious garlic). It was the papardelle and boy was it good, it came recommended from her and it’s coming as a recommendation from me now. Oh, the wholesome feeling is one of real delight. I will surely come back for this pasta. The serving is a perfect size. The soup of the day had a rich flavor and felt perfect as a starter. The desert was a bit heavy for me at this point, but I could not resist. The chocolate treat they brought out was out if this world when combined with my well-temperatured latté. Can’t wait to fly through Atlanta again, Terminal F if you’re looking for a unique dining experience.

Five stars is not near enough for Ecco… six stars wouldn’t even be enough. Ladies and gentlemen, I have officially found the best airport restaurant to ever be in existence. Hell, it would even be a great restaurant outside of the airport. I’m pretty in love if you couldn’t tell. I flew from St. Louis to Atlanta and had a three hour layover before flying to Rio, and I wanted to relax somewhere with a glass of wine and a nice dinner. I saw Ecco when I walked into the international terminal(which is also stunning by the way), and made my way upstairs. The host was very friendly, and I asked him if there was any way I could sit by a power outlet(I’m sure I’m the only traveler to ever ask him this question.) He was very kind and told me it would just be a short wait. A few minutes later I made my way to a corner table, and had a good amount of space along with(score!) two power outlets. There’s nothing like a charged iPhone with your glass of wine while you’re on a long trip. My server was really wonderful and attentive, and I had a glass of wine in front of me right away. I was so happy to sit and enjoy the atmosphere — this place is dark, sultry, relaxing, and romantic. The menu has so many great options, so I took my time looking. My heart really wanted the cured meats & cheeses, and the prices are reasonable: one for 4.75, three for 14, five for 22. Not bad! I ended up ordering the steak frites which didn’t disappoint one bit. I was so sad when my dinner here was over but didn’t want to take up table space for too long. I’m not sure the next time I’ll be flying internationally through Atlanta again, but when I do, I’ll be first in line for dinner at Ecco.

If you are in the Atlanta airport, do yourself a favor and eat here. This restaurant is in the way back. Did anyone even know there is a Terminal F? I’ve been to Terminal E to eat and I thought that was the farthest back. Now I know I can walk even further. If you are in terminal A, it is about a 45 minute walk. Either you are bored in the airport and decide to walk, or you can take the train. Getting from Terminal E to F is weird, you don’t follow the train line anymore, so although I walked the entire way there, with the help of some airport workers, I ended up taking the train from F to E back and then walking the rest of the way. My flight was delayed so I had a bunch of time, can you tell? I walked into Terminal F and was immediately wowed by all the shopping and choices. This is always going to be my go to terminal when I have a lay over or a flight delay in Atlanta. Ecco is on the second floor off to the corner near the Starbucks. Try to sit in the balcony that overlooks the first floor for good people watching. I asked to sit there and the hostess told me she was going to put me in the patio. That sounded good to me until I realized that you can’t see anything on the patio other than the barely used Starbucks. Needless to say I was not in the best of moods going into this meal. I ordered the 5 meat/cheese dish. Basically they have a list of different meats and cheeses and I could choose 5. Unfortunately, I don’t eat pork and four of the meats were a pork dish. I ended up getting the chicken liver and the four least pungent cheeses. I thought my seatmate would thank me later. It was a pretty long wait for my food. I was never asked if I was in any rush, but luckily I was not. However, by the time my food came, I was a bit grumpy waiting so long. That is why I know that the meal was delicious. Not a lot of food can live up to my expectations and bring me out of a fog, but boy did this meal do just that. The chicken liver pâté was to die for. Honestly, I would order two of it next time with three cheeses. I enjoyed all the cheese, but the most pungent one that I got was definitely getting on the pungent side, so I’m glad I stick to the more mild cheese. I was surprised that it came with basically half a loaf of hearty bread. This is the type of dish I would expect to come with crostinis. I think it would even be better with crackers, but oh well. The fruit almost jam like cups that came it were delicious too. I just put some on some cheese and ate it that way. I don’t often return to restaurants, because I like trying different places, but this place was so good I am planning on coming back next time I’m in Atlanta!

Miracles do happen at airports! Although my expectations are always low at airport restaurants but this one surpassed my expectations. First, the staff is so accomodating by given us a place to plant ourselves for our 4 hour layover. Second, drinks were delish! Tito Bloody Mary got high reviews but G&Ts were also nicely done. A good selection of beer rounded out the first round. Third, food was awesome! Prosciutto pizza was so good! Thin crust, fresh mozzarella and arugula with a drizzle of garlic oil was perfect. Charcuterie tray with high quality salumi, liver pâté and aged blue cheese served with olives and chutney was amazing. Sweet potato and leek soup also got rave reviews. Overall, nice surprise en route to a 19 hour flight!
