I came here with a friend on a Tuesday night and it wasn’t too crowded. There’s a private lot so parking isn’t an issue here. This place has a lot of tapas ranging from $ 5 – 10 dollars. We got the fried green beans, fried calamari, and the sauteed shirmp with garlic and calabrese pepper. The fried green beans and calamari were alright — definitely too much for two people to finish(also just feels like a lot of fried stuff). I liked the shrimp dish, which comes with four shrimp. The flavors of the sauce is really rich and the shrimp isn’t overcooked. While we were here, we also got mojitos, which was good. Around 7:30p, they have live music which is quite nice.

So I am officially obsessed with this place! I came in with my friends for happy hour, which is Monday-Friday from 4 to 7. Mojitos are half off along with well drinks. In addition all the tapas is half off with the exception of the scallops, duck, and lamb, but there is still plenty to choose from so it didn’t really matter. I got the arugula apple salad, the ribs, and ceviche and I loved EVERYTHING! I also ordered a raspberry and pineapple mojito. The raspberry was made perfectly. Unfortunately the bartender added too much sugar to the pineapple so it wasn’t as enjoyable. I loved the patio because even though it was hot outside the patio was covered and had fans so it was perfect. I will definitely be back!

I love this place. It’s popular for a reason(and I don’t mind being part of the heard in this instance). I usually go with friends and sit and dine at one of the tables either in the dining room or the covered patio area. On my most recent visit(a Saturday night), I sat at the bar. The lively atmosphere at the bar and in the restaurant made the evening so much fun. The food was flavorful. The prices were reasonable. The food, drink, and dessert menus offered variety. On the night I went, there was a bartender there named Scott. Scott allowed his personality to shine — he was super entertaining. He performs fire-breathing tricks while behind the bar. I would definitely describe Eclipse di Luna as a neighborhood gem.

I was served by the owner and he gave me a free pitcher of magarita because I waited long to be attended. This is my second time here and it’s the best place I’ve been in Atl… Good food, excellent vibe … Pretty ass girls… Damn… As I’m writing it… He brings nice ribs for free!!! All because we were seated late! 100%

Excellent selection of tapas and festive drink menu. Atmosphere is my favorite among the tapas places in Atlanta, offers a cool, laid back environment frequently accompanied with live music. Drinks and food are relatively cheap compared to most other tapas options in ATL.

You can find the original location of Eclipse Di Luna at 764 Miami Cir NE, Atlanta, GA30324 near Lindberg. It’s way in the back in an area known for Home Design and as the epicenter of ADAC and beautiful interiors all over the US. It had been many, many years since I’ve visited the original Eclipse Di Luna and when it was suggested by friends that we congregate for a birthday I immediately said«I’m in!» — well, any excuse for a party but more than that, I was a bit curious to see how this location has fared over the years. I work closer to the Park Place location and eat there often — I don’t believe I’ve been to the Miami Circle location in at least 10 years. As you would expect, the feel of this location is a bit different than the Park Place location — perhaps a bit more cramped and raw. The exterior is smaller and much cuter, with tons of tropical plants delivering more of a home for the Tapas on the menu. Love the vibe. The early evening we visited the place we arrived early and were immediately seated. Soon it was fairly packed. I think there were about 8 or more of us, all seated around a long table. As you can imagine, the drinks were flowing with a focus for me on beer(typically it would be on the classic mojito, which Eclipse handles quite well). There was a little bit of snacking but for the most part we were here to drink. The bar was to one side and about three deep with people ordering drinks — it’s quite a bit smaller than the other location. The bartenders here are a hoot, frequently putting on props and making announcements or doing other impromptu acts to get the merrymaking started. Singing, horns, music, the works. We had a fantastic time and the service was very good, even with the rowdy crowd. (also posted to my food blog)

Decided to come here because it was something different. What a cool, vibrant spot! Ordered a pitcher of margarita and it was more sour than Rita…:( But all in all, it was a cool spot to hang and get the juices flowing. If you can’t make up your mind on what to a eat, then this is a cool place to come to! Good vibes and good times…(only 4 stars because the margarita was way too sour…) but good time tho!

So I know someone that«Loves» this place so I’ve been here on more than a few times so I guess you can say i’m a Veteran of the tapas wars :-) This place can be absolutely packed, loud and hectic Friday and Saturday night but if you come during the week or during the day it’s not bad. Weekends in my opinion are more of a group outing, meeting with friends that place can get loud and rocking and it just helps to enhance the good time your having with your friends. For tapas one of your best options around town and the location make’s it feel like a secret spot for just you and your date or you and your friends.

This place is a really fun dining spot, especially if you come here with a group of friends! Be prepared for a long wait on the weekends but they text you when your table is ready so you can wander or grab a drink at the bar. We had a glass of the white and red sangria which were not my favorites, would suggest trying some of their cocktails instead? They have a really extensive tapas menu with more than half of their menu dedicated to vegetarian tapas which is awesome! We ordered the Brussel sprouts, the butternut squash Mac and cheese, the goat cheese stuffed peppers and the black bean empanada. The food was yummy and our favorites were the empanadas and the peppers. The Mac and cheese was a little under seasoned and the Brussel sprouts were not really my cup of tea. Overall, the food was not mind blowing but was fairly good. Given the atmosphere(with the fun décor and live band) I would definitely come back with a larger group of people!

A friend and I visited for their happy hour(4 – 6, Monday-Thursday), left with full bellies, and only paid $ 16 each(plus tip)! There are a lot of excellent points that made our experience super enjoyable: — Large parking lot — Enclosed and heated porch — Friendly and casual staff — Wide variety of adventurous food(for the usual American, at least) — KILLER happy hour deal The restaurant is hidden away at the end of Miami Circle, and when I finally came upon it, I immediately loved the eclectic décor that’s spilled out to its façade. The indoor décor is just as boisterous, which creates a homey, exciting, anything-goes-because-we-are-friends-and-family vibe. We arrived at 4pm on a Monday, and there were only a few other patrons, but I bet this is a fun place to be when the joint is hopping. My friend said it can often get very loud indoors when it’s crowded. We opted to sit on the patio, where there was lots of beautiful light filtering through. The staff(manager, maybe?) checked on the temperature and adjusted the heaters to make sure everything was comfortable. Our water, Roy I believe, was very friendly and laid back and added a lot of fun to our experience. I’d recommend asking for him when you visit. All the food was great! I’ve only had Spanish tapas once before, and I didn’t even know what I was getting myself into that time. Here at Eclipse Di Luna, I was expecting good things, and the kitchen delivered! The menu was exciting and exotic(compared to my usual dining), and everything that came to our table was delicious, balanced, and completely gobbled up. We ordered the following: — mojitos: My first mojito! Such a great summer drink. — chorizo+dates wrapped in bacon topped with scallions and goat cheese(x2): Spicy sausage with sweet dates and cool cheese to smooth it all out. — arugula salad with candied walnuts, green apples, and cheese: A light accompaniment to some of the heartier options we had. — oyster mushrooms with fried potato slivers over celery mash: If you like mushrooms, you will love this. — fried oysters topped with arugula and radishes: Crispy on the outside, still a little soft on the inside. Not too chewy. — braised kale with navy beans and cheese, also topped with fried potato slivers: Very cozy dish. — octopus with potatoes: My first time eating cooked octopus! I liked the charred flavor. If you’re scared to try octopus, this dish makes a great first impression. The octopus meat had a surprisingly edible texture, which I wasn’t expecting.(The only time I’ve had octopus, it was raw and wriggling, and it left a very bad taste in my mouth. The octopus at Eclipse Di Luna may be changing my mind about cephalopods at the dinner table.) The menus have their vegetarian options listed on one side and the with-meat options on the other. My friend informed me that they often change the menu, which means that you’ll have many opportunities to try something new, even if you become a regular. The only issue was when a second plate of chorizo+dates came to our table without us ordering it. The kitchen may have accidentally made two orders or something. We told the waitress she could leave it with us, and we ate it along with the rest of our food. I didn’t even think to check if it had been added to our check, and now I wish I had just to make sure we did indeed pay for it. If you’re looking for a vibrant dinner experience, come to Eclipse Di Luna. To get the best bang for your buck, come during 4 – 6 any day Monday-Thursday for half off tapas and well drinks. It sounds sterile and impersonal to say this, but I have to mentions that this was an amazing value for the money we spent, which is always a plus for the frugal living ITP. Come with an open mind and an appetite, and you won’t be disappointed. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

I have been here a few times now and I love this place. They are a tapas-style restaurant, but the portions are much more generous than any other tapas place that I have been to. They have carafes of wine, sangria, and so many other delicious cocktails. Most notably, there are cocktails that apparently cause the bartenders to blow fire. It is an awesome show. The tapas that stood out to me were the potatoes, empanadas, and the beef. I was not wild about the mac ‘n cheese. They were very reasonably priced, tasted delicious, and was quick. I cannot wait to go back here again soon.

I really enjoy the food options here. I love the ambiance and the staff. This is one of my go-to’s! Enough options to please some of the pickiest eaters, but also can please the foodies! Good wine options and good music!

I’ve been here once or twice, but the most recent occasion was for the bf’s friend’s birthday. This is a nice place for a date, but it can get loud so a great conversation can’t really be heard. Perhaps dinner here then coffee or dessert afterwards? As you arrive in the area, it may look sketchy because the streets are dimly lit and desolate. Just drive all the way down the street, and Eclipse Di Luna will be on the left. There was plenty of parking spaces, but it can get super packed and annoying in finding a parking space. So the bf and I shared the following plates in order of most liked: Mac n cheese — Creamy, gooey, cheesy, and hot. Yum! The top layer had butternut squash(?) which made it interesting. Fried calamari — It was decently good. The seasoning was fine. Nothing too wowing on either the good or bad side. Ceviche — Pretty good for what it is(fish in a lime sauce). The avocado pieces was a nice touch. Chicken breasts — Eh. It was okay. The sauce it was doused in wasn’t too special. It was more like tomato sauce with flavoring. Service was superb. There was a live band playing this particular night. Some folks were dancing, but it was mostly the older crowd who could swing their hips and shake it. lol.

Always a favorite because of the relaxed feel, diverse and sometimes glamorous clientele and the good food. The bartender was breathing fire, pretty festive! He was a big bearded man, and he’d take a shot, light a lighter, and exhale seriously four feet worth of flames. We felt lucky to snag a spontaneous early reservation on New Year’s Eve, though they gave us a pitiful table right by the host station with a ringing phone. New tapas item: macaroni and cheese with butternut squash in it, lovely, silky, a tiny bit spicy. Like it a lot. Perfect fried oysters. Imperfect arugula garnish with it. I deeply hate darkened, mottled, tired lettuce. But I love their potatoes, their ginger beer, and their fried squid. I fear the scale after such a feast.

Great food and service! I think everyone should try their happy hour from 4 – 6, half off on 2⁄3 of the menu! Make sure to ask. Started off with 14 $ sangria pitcher for a party of 5 and it had enough wine to knock you out, which we didn’t mind. Highly recommend the shrimp, octopus, mussels, ribs, ceviche and calamari! Seems like a lot but the portions are usually small and each comes to about 2 – 4 $ each so they’re worth a try. Came on a weekday around 5 and place was barely packed and pretty chill. We didn’t have any problems with noise or crowd. Can’t say about the weekends though or any other time of day. But def recommend coming here on a low key time and during happy hour. A warm rainy December evening was perfect for us. Each person ended up paying around 15 $ each which isn’t bad for loads of food + drinks.

Food Spent $ 35 on 4 tapas for two people. Mac and cheese was my favorite. It had butternut squash and had a crunch top layer. The ceviche was pretty good too. though it is hard to screw up ceviche. Fish + lime + time = ceviche. They threw some avacados on top. The fried calamari was too crunchy. It looked burnt under the lighting but it was just the color. The chicken breast was kind of a waste. You do not order chicken breast as a tapa. A small chicken breast that looked like it came from a fast food joint came out drizzled in some sauce. It was forgetful. I also ended up stealing some ribs from my friends. They were a little bit sweet, dry, and decent! Décor The place seemed kind of small and cramped. The live band was definitely jamming happy conga music. They were loud and pretty entertaining. Service Server was great. We got a table for 15 in 30 min on a Friday night without reservations! Painted Pin was too packed. Would I come here again? Maybe for their ½ tapa specials. Probably not for any other normal night.

I came here for a small birthday party a few months ago not really having any preconceived notions as for what to expect. Even without expectations, I was sincerely disappointed. First, we went on a Friday night and it was packed! Like call the fire marshal, people pushing past one another, can’t hear someone 2 feet away packed. Worse yet, there was a very pungent odor around the front door that I won’t describe in detail. Our party was told by phone that we couldn’t be 5 minutes late or we’d lose our reservation. I abhor false exclusivity as much as false modesty. Not to mention, this is Atlanta… on a Friday evening. Are you kidding me? I could have forgiven all that if the food had been good. It wasn’t. It was anti-good. I’ll admit that the menu looked very promising. I didn’t drink because I had a headache earlier in the day. The one sip of sangria I took was tasty, but it should have been accompanied by better food. We ordered a number of tapas plates which ranged from average to awful. The olives were small and mundane with a bland marinade. Worse, the marcona almonds that came with it were seasoned very unevenly so some were salty and some were bland. I also got one that was… wrong. It was horribly bitter and grotesque. I nearly gagged and it takes a lot to make me gag. The patatas were just potato wedges. Again, terribly mundane and under-seasoned. The pan Catalan was akin to the free Italian bread you get at the beginning of a meal with the oil already drizzled on it. More of the ‘whatever.‘ The paella was dreadful! The shrimp were rubberized and had a weird aftertaste(but maybe that was just the bad almond haunting my mouth). The chunks of chicken weren’t tender or good quality and, again, disappointing lack of flavor. I didn’t get to try the empanadas and I didn’t care. Maybe the bartender spitting fire is an amusing trick, but that felt like the vibe of this place. I got the sense that it was more about the pours than the eats. It almost felt like a college bar at times. I can’t complain about the price. It wasn’t out of line. I would have paid more for better quality. Maybe I just had a particularly ‘off’ experience, but most of my party agreed with me and we definitely haven’t been back since. I felt like the effort was there, but badly misguided somehow.

TL;DR — some menus are really salty, tell them to be easy with salt. Visited over the weekend for friend’s birthday dinner. We ordered bacon wrapped chorizo & dates, ceviche, fried green bean, pork chop, hanger steak, scallops, empanada, and mussels. Most of the menus were alright, some too salty, and none were extremely outstanding enough to wow us for the night. Of all the food that we ordered, fried green bean was probably the most popular dish of the night. Simple fried green bean topped with light salt. Very easy to just munch on as a snack. Least popular dishes were scallop and pork chop for they were extremely salty. It was so salty that I had to cover both of them in mashed potato from hanger steak dish to mask the saltiness and neutralize the flavor.

This is a Spanish style Tapas restaurant. It was crowded on a Friday night, so it was reassuring that people want to be at this place. The atmosphere was authentic. The service was great. Our waitress gave lots of good suggestions and was very attentive. Be sure not to order all food items at once, the food comes flying out of the kitchen. So just keep a menu with you. We got: stuffed peppers with goat cheese– very creamy inside. The inside was purely goat cheese so you definitely need to love goat cheese. The taste of the pepper and sauce was delicious. It came with 2 peppers. Ceviche– good sized portions, pieces of fish and avocado were plentiful and flavorful Empanada– flavorful, crispy on the outside, well stuffed, good proportion of filling to crust Ribs-very balsamic tasting. Prob our least favorite Overall, reasonably priced for Tapas with good sized portions. Food comes out really quickly. Good service. Tasty food.
