Ellen’s Dry Cleaners and Alterations

Beware!!! Don’t take your clothing to this cleaners!!! They lack complete integrity and will ruin your clothes without telling you about it. I bought a dress that I’ve worn once into the cleaners to be cleaned. The dress had no stains. However when packing for a trip i pull out my favorite dress to see that the dry cleaners ruined it with ink stains. The rude dry cleaner clerk calls me after my dress has been in their shop for a week stating that it’s my fault because i waited a month before returning to the store to complain about the dress. Well contrary to his thoughts I don’t wear the dress every week, so I had no reason to check the dress before I was ready to wear it. I trusted this cleaners and they basically told me to go to hell and they wouldn’t be paying to replace my dress. I think businesses such as these who lack integrity should not be allowed to do business in our communities. I will be filing a BBB claim and seeking a solution. I don’t care if the dress was $ 100 that does not give them the right to ruin my dress and then not take responsibility for their error. I’m sick of companies like this. This dry cleaners should be shut down!

Went to get measured for a custom dress that I was getting made and everything was so comfortable. The business looked fairly new, so I asked him how long they had been open and he replied «6 years». I felt dumbfounded. He asked me if I was new to the area and I blushed when I said I’ve been living in the area for almost 10 and a half years.
The guy who did my measurements was so kind and friendly. I loved watching him interact with his other customers. I was sitting there thinking «Now this is how a business is supposed to treat their customers!»
I never understood why a person could have an attitude with a customer. No one told you to take that job or better yet, don’t let your outside drama come into work with you. I could go on and on about how sweet of a man he was, but that would turn into a tangent lol.
I picked up a business card and gave him a tip which he tried to refuse, but I told him he deserved it. I loved his humble spirit.
I’m telling you right now, because of his personality alone, it would make me come back!
