Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Stay away from this location at all cost. I will never ever rent from enterprise or any of their affiliate rental companies because of this location. These people rented a car out under my name to someone else, because the person had the same last name as me. Their very words were «because you guys had such usual names, when the agent started to put in the last name and yours account came up, they without verifying the info, put the rental under your name». So they ended up putting the rental under my name with the credit card info and signature of the other person. I was not aware of this until they started coming after me for damages on the car, then processed to file a claim under my moms insurance because she too had the same last name. I don’t even know how they got her info, this women has never even rented a car before. I actually got very lucky, because the person with the very unusual name, who rented the car turned out to be a person related to me, but renter themselves were not aware of any of the situation. To make natters worse, many of the employees i spoke with were very rude and they would not let me speak with the branch manger, they kept putting me on hold and not coming back. So I had to call the president of the company and asked his to get involved. If i could have give this place a 0, I would have but that is not an option. They lost a customer forever.

This store saved my sanity and my vacation! I had reserved a luxury SUV for a drive from Atlanta to Colorado from Sixt 2 months earlier. I went to pick up my car and was informed of a $ 100 fee for a second driver and that I couldn’t drive the car outside of the states surrounding GA; things their customer service didn’t mention when I spoke to them and asked questions about it.
I was in a panic! I called around to a lot of places to see if anyone had a 4 wheel drive SUV available day of. Luckily, this Enterprise did! They also didn’t charge me for a 2^nd driver because it was a spouse/​domestic partner. Lastly, it was unlimited mileage and I could drive it to Colorado. I could have hugged the girl on the phone!
An hour later, I was in a nice, very upgraded, SUV and ready to load up and head out!
The vehicle itself is very nice and clean. It was updated with leather seats, seat warmers, and lot of features!
The only negative thing I can say is that it was out of washer fluid which was a little rough driving in some of the sludge and snow in Colorado.
Regardless, I am very grateful! They really helped me in a pinch and all of the people I spoke with were friendly and empathetic to my day!

I am a fan of Enterprise! I stopped by two other competitors’ offices before renting here, and their offices were shabby and understaffed. Enterprise, on the other hand, is a class outfit with really friendly staff and a high degree of professionalism. I would recommend them any time at this Atlanta joint, and actually at every place I’ve rented from them.

Didn’t have car I selected but didn’t explain they would be upgrading me to a car model with worse gas mileage.
Didn’t allow me to choose from cars available in that class.
Accused me of screwing up the reservation, when it was clearly an error in how they entered my reservation when I called in.
Rushing everyone. Rushed through the form and the car inspection, not explaining anything, just asking for signatures. I had to ask specifics about them all.
Little space to pull in and park.
Upside: Clean facility. Clean and mostly professional staff (albeit not caring). New Car.

I reserved a full size and they tried to downsell me to a much smaller car. I stated that I reserved a full size and preffered a full size. They wound up giving me the full size I had reserved. Why try to downsell me if they had the full size all along? Anyway, the car was high milage for a rental (43k miles), was fairly dirty inside, and had an unpleasant odor. Not a great experience. Seemed a little chaotic behind the desk.

This location is horrible. I would suggest working with another location. The manager is very unprofessional and needs to get fire. The employees are a reflection of how this location is ran. They do not know how to treat customers and seriously need some corporate training. I will not go into detail about my encounter. But to say the least, Warning, DO NOT RENT HERE.

Don’t rent from here. The manager is not professional. I had a reservation for a larger SUV with the branch in Doraville. They did not have the car I requested but I was getting close to time to pick up my son. So I took the car they had since the guy in Doraville told me I could swap it at another location. Cool. I called the Courtland street location and the guy told me yes we have larger SUV’s and to come swap it. When I got there the manager was very rude and demanded to know who told me I could swap, why don’t I go back to Doraville, and that he had cars but they were for people that have a reservation. I told him well I do have a reservation and why should my reservation be any less important than those folks who have yet to even retrieve their cars??? In the end I filed a complaint with their regional manager. I will not be back at this location… EVER!

This is probably one of the worst rental car experiences that I have ever had. I was shocked because Enterprise has been pretty decent.
I booked a standard car at this location about two months ago and I flew in very early in the morning. I even called this location at the airport to make sure that they had my reservation. When I got there, I was told that they didn’t have any car at all. They didn’t even try to get a different car or tried to call different locations to pick up a car. I waited for ten minutes and I asked them to drop me off at different Enterprise location. They told me to wait for the driver. Guess how long I waited? 1 hour. Yes, I will not come to this location ever.
I am giving two stars because the manager, at least, apologized to me. However, it was too late. I already wasted my time and missed my meeting.

Why oh why did I not head the bad reviews from other Unilocalers? Twice I called to confirm the car we were renting was ready for pick-​up and twice I went to pick it up only to find out it wasn’t ready!

I traveled from Memphis to Atlanta on the MegaBus, and needed a car to drive to SC. After reading the reviews, I was hesitant to rent a car from here, so I made a reservation here, and a later reservation at the airport, just in case! When I arrived at the Civic center, I called the Courtland St location and they were there within 7 minutes to pick us up. I had no problem what so ever! I was in and out of there in 10 minutes, and same for the drop off! They had be back at the civic center within 10 minutes of me returning the car! The two young men who helped me were very courteous, friendly, and efficient! I WILL use this location again, and would recommended it to my friends! Keep up the good work, Guys!

I had a wonderful experience, received a great car and staff was very energetic which I love seeing since I myself am in the service industry. Very negative reviews here so they must have stepped up their game. Keep doing what you are doing!

No, no, no, no. Next time, Enterprise can pick someone else up, and I will take a taxi to Avis or Budget. This was a terrible experience!
We ended up in Atlanta after our flight was cancelled and we had to take an overnight train. We made the reservation online, after the store had closed for the day, but specified in the instructions that we would need to be picked up at the train station at 9:15 am (our train arrived earlier, but the store didn’t open until 9:00). At 9:30 I called to make sure someone was coming to get us. The girl who answered the phone found my reservation, but said it didn’t say anything about us needing a pick-​up. Ok. She said she’d send someone, but that it would probably be 10:30 before he could get there. I said we’d just take a cab. She said she’d try to get someone there faster. I left my purse with my husband and went to the bathroom.
At about 10:05 I pulled my phone out and noticed one missed call and a voicemail: «This is _​_​_​with Enterprise, I’m at the train station and have tried to call several times – I can only wait two more minutes.» The call had been placed at 9:45. Ok, bad on me for missing the call (and there was only ONE call, despite his message). I called Enterprise back. Was told someone else would come soon. So we waited, and waited, and waited some more; I called again at 10:45 and was told, oh yes, someone is on their way. Finally around 11:00 someone showed up. At this point we could have walked the 3 miles to the Enterprise from the train station.
We finally get there, and the car isn’t ready for us. Seriously??? They hosed it off (it still had bird crap all over it) while I dealt with the girl at the counter. She said she wanted to compensate us for the debacle that morning, which, ok. She asked what we thought was fair. Whatever. She took $ 30 off our $ 120 rental. Now, I respect a company that empowers its employees to make things right for the customer, but this branch uses this policy to not do their jobs. We got in the car – the gas tank was almost empty. Again, seriously???
When I arrived at our destination and turned the car back in, one, they were horrified that an Enterprise had rented us a car in such poor condition, and two, had to adjust the bill because although we had declined insurance coverage we were charged for it.
Do not rent from this place, ever.

Called from MARTA airport train to ask how far a walk from Civic Center stop the rental location was. Guy on the phone told me to call when we got to our stop and they’d be right over to pick us up. Did so. After about 40 minutes, over 6 calls and lots of stories (AKA lies) about where our driver was, we were picked up. So that did not feel like good customer service.
On returning the car, a mysterious RAP charge of $ 23.94 (6×3.99/day) appeared on the bill. I asked about that and the woman told me it was Roadside Assistance Plan, and «everyone gets it.» We said we did not need it. She said she would refund that charge (since we had initialed «NO» to all insurances since we have our own). As of ten days later, we have seen no refund on the card. We trusted that she would do the right thing and refund our $ 23.94. We WILL see this through and get our money back, and they will hear from us until it’s fixed.
Word to the Wise: Don’t walk away without a corrected bill, and don’t expect decent pickup service from these folks.

I reserved a cargo van (online) as I was going to be moving some items. They called on Thursday 3 times to confirm. I called back & was put on hold for 20 minutes and was finally able to confirm it. They called again on Friday to confirm the rental, and I informed them that I already confirmed it the day before. I was there on Saturday at 10am, as I had already confirmed. I was informed the van had not been cleaned and if I wanted to wait for the detail guy they could clean it for me. I was warned that it smelled like a barn. As I needed the van at 10am, I didn’t have time to sit around and wait for a detail guy to show up. The van smelled like GOATS. Very stinky goats. It also had brown stuff smeared all over the floor and the walls of the van. One clump of brown stuff, most likely dirt, was filled with ants.
In addition, while I was completing the rental paperwork a woman was in the office using the phone. It seems that this location is down the street from a homeless shelter and they let her use the phone. The woman was ripe. She didn’t smell any better than the van. They finally asked her to leave, but still, come on…
The staff was friendly, but I don’t see how anyone can confirm a rental that many times and still not have it ready to lease out AND in that condition. We had to unroll the windows to make it down the street. Plus, it was out of gas and didn’t make it to the end of the block before the light came on. Never again, Enterprise.

I have had good experiences at other Enterprise locations, but this one SUCKS.
— We reserved a compact car. The «only thing they had in» was a minivan, and they charged us the minivan price instead of the compact price even though we DIDN’T WANT IT.
— We had the car for a week. We called EVERY DAY to ask for a smaller car, and on the rare occasion they actually answered the phone, they insisted they had nothing else in stock.
— The car REEKED. It smelled like rotting fish. It was really, really bad.
— The car had expired tags, so we got pulled over and had to bring the smelly van back to Enterprise to get new tags.
— They were very slow and both times we were in the office we had to wait for 20 minutes even though we were the only ones there.
— Also, the parking lot is weirdly situated, it’s really hard to get in and out, and the area is very sketchy.
In summary — no. Just no.

I was headed out of town last weekend to visit an old friend in Knoxville. Occasionally, I’ll rent a car for these kinds of trips to save my 100k+ 2002 Honda Accord a lil wear and tear. Usually, I rent from Enterprise Rent-​A-​Car. They’ve always been good in the past — often upgrading me, despite the fact that I’m not a frequent customer.
I may be avoiding the sketchy ass Courtland St. location next time I’m in the market to rent.
The litany of reasons are as follows:
— I had reserved a compact car. The clerk tried to swindle me into a higher class rental, without informing me that this particular car (Volkswagen Jetta) was not a compact. I discovered this when we began the checkout process. As I kind of wanted to hit the road, I let this slide. It was only $ 10 more per day.
— Repeatedly had to tell the clerk that I did NOT want insurance coverage. I had to remind him twice on this when my contract was being printed.
Here’s where it gets crazy:
— We went to inspect the aforementioned Jetta. As he was circling the car to make notes on any preexisting dings, dents or scratches I checked out the temporary Tennessee license, which was taped to the inside of the back windshield… it had expired the day before.
So what did the clerk have to say about this?
«No problem. I’ll just grab a plate from one of the other cars.»
I was stunned. He was 100% serious about letting me drive off illegally, which could have cost me a ticket in a best case scenario.
In the end, I got the car I asked for at the price I asked for. And it was legal. But a lot of things were ready to go wrong on me that day, thanks to the Courtland St. Enterprise.
I’ll give other Enterprise franchises a chance in the future. But as for Courtland St. Never again.
