I’ve been to a lot of breweries, and my experience at Eventide was on-par with a lot of my favorites. Parking is easy — it’s tucked away on a little industrial/residential street by Grant Park — so there’s ample street parking. The space itself is nice. Industrial, open space, «bar games» inside and outside, and some tables/seating scattered around. They have two dart boards, which was fun. I went on a Friday and the crowd was totally manageable. It wasn’t so crowded that I had to wait long to get a beer, yet I didn’t feel awkward, like I was the only person there. The beer itself was pretty decent. They didn’t have anything SUPER special pouring but I was very happy with what I tried. I’d definitely go back, or bring out of town guests.

The space and vibe of this place are good and the staff was pleasant but all of us(I went with a group of friends) agreed the beer was mediocre at best. They only had 3 to choose from– a Kolsch, a pale ale and a watery stout. I am hopeful that this place gets better with time but there are certainly more interesting beers to taste at other breweries around town for the same price.

Eventide has great, drinkable(but not lacking in flavor) beers. The space is nice and big on the inside, so it never feels too crowded; and the outside space is also nice and usable overlooking a horse farm in the middle of our urban neighborhood. The tours are well-done and fun. Love this place!

So I debated briefly between four and five stars and went with the latter for a couple of reasons: 1) They have AC. I know, you’re probably like, «So? Who doesn’t?» But there are actually breweries(note the plural) in Atlanta that don’t have air conditioning. Which to me is a little nuts if you’re going to have a tasting room open to the public in the summer. 2) I recently contacted area breweries to inquire on space rental and Eventide was exceptionally responsive and accommodating. The tasting room experience is standard, if you’ve ever been to a brewery. You pay $ 12 for a glass and six tickets. Also available for purchase are growlers, t-shirts, and tasting journals. Tours are offered(be advised that the beer-making room does NOT have AC… luckily, the tours aren’t too long) every so often. You can stand and drink, sit and drink, cuddle doggies and drink, or play games and drink. I love that they have darts. You should also take some time to appreciate the furniture, which was hand-made by the staff/owners/founders. They made the bar, too, and make every tap handle by hand. On the south wall, there is guest artwork, which I’m told will be rotated regularly. My favorite beers here are the pale ale, which is oh-so-drinkable, and the refreshing kolsch. I’m not really much of a stout drinker but I love the toastiness of their nitro stout. They’ll typically have a high gravity beer on tap, which will cost you two tickets instead of one. All in all, this is a great spot to hang out with friends. Drink good beer, see where it’s made, and play some games.

This is a phenomenal addition to the Grant Park neighborhood. With plenty of street parking and a small lot, this brewery is tucked just south of the park, with a big patio and spacious tasting room with a modern, loft-like feel. You pay your $ 12 at the entrance, and get a pint glass and six drink tickets. Three of the brews are one ticket each for a generous pour, but two seasonal, higher gravity options are two tickets for a single pour. I loved the super citrusy pale ale, with heavy grapefrut notes, and the lighter kolsch which was a perfect summery beer. Pets are allowed inside the brewery, so there were a couple of super cute puppies there on our visit. You’re also allowed to bring in outside food, so next time, I’m definitely coming with some snacks. Their brewery tour is also one of the better ones I’ve been on. Though the brewing space is quite small, the tour is filled with lots of fun facts on the science of brewing. Though I didn’t play, they also have some fun games, like giant jenga, and there’s also a good bit of seating. On a Thursday night, it was barely 20% full, but still had a good/fun/busy vibe, so I think I’ve found my new post-work happy hour spot.

«Eventide» never fails to put Pearl Jam’s «Even Flow» in my head. Maybe it’s just me. Having a friend in town was a good excuse to visit this young brewery in Grant Park. Even though I did not partake in tasting, my friends enjoyed Eventide’s selections. $ 12 will get you a pint glass and six drink tickets. There were some other tasting packages where you could go home with growlers. Most beers were one ticket, with the exception of the strong Revivale. My friends seemed to like the beers in general though there was some disappointment that no IPA option was available. A brief brewery tour led by the events coordinator kept us occupied, along with admiring someone’s whippet, and playing darts and the ring on a hook game. The tour was informative since I learned that Eventide is like the Etsy of Atlanta breweries; the employees even make the tables and the tap handles! Eventide is friendly towards nondrinkers/designated drivers. There’s no charge for entry, and bottled water, sodas, and even Capri Suns for kiddies are available behind the bar. Some of the kegs were kicked(Citrus Grove Hefeweizen) so my friends couldn’t try some of the brews, and apparently the women’s restroom was having issues. Luckily I did not need to investigate that for myself. But no matter. The chill staff and patrons, local brews, and cool space made for a terrific afternoon.

My company hosted a corporate event at Eventide in early June and it was amazing. It was one of Eventide’s first events, however they helped pull it off flawlessly. The staff was extremely helpful in the event planning process all the way to the last beer poured. Special thanks to Mat, Nate and the entire team. All in all, great venue, passionate staff, and delicious beer. Oh did I mention they have a brewery cat?!

I live in Grant Park and I can’t even describe how excited I am that Eventide has opened up. I went for their grand opening last weekend, and we had a great time. They follow the standard GA brewery procedure: $ 10 buys a pint glass to keep and six«six ounce» pours. Their more alcoholic beers(like 8%+) cost you two tickets. The space is a little on the small side indoors and mostly restricted to a couple picnic tables in the parking lot outdoors. Even so, the staff poured quickly enough that I never had to wait in a huge line for beer. The place is dog friendly(I even saw dogs indoors!). There have games like darts, giant jenga, and a simple but addicting game I can only describe as «ring-on-a-hook.» There was a food truck and I hope they make that a regular thing. Finally, their relatively permissive hours(you can hang for 4 hours on Saturday!) mean you don’t have to chug your last couple pours, unlike at a certain turtle-themed brewery in Athens who shall remain nameless. Eventide might challenge them for my favorite brewery at this rate. Welcome to the hood Eventide! I hope you stay a good long while.
